Frecciarossa trains from Milan to Rome in August 2026

Hi all. I'm going from Interlaken West to Roma Termini on August 2nd this summer. Whenever I look at possible trips for this route, there's an issue from Milano Centrale to Roma Termini. On this date, there seem to be no high-speed Frecciarossa trains at all. Whenever I look at dates from July and before, they run multiple times per hour. Does someone know if there's a reason for this? I'd prefer for it to not take 10 hours to get from Milan to Rome :)

Most likely the timetable has not been published because it's not final yet. Just keep trying regularly.

Thanks so much for the help. I also had another small issue I just noticed. The EuroCity on the 2nd of August says it's fully booked for every single departure time (from Spiez to Milano Centrale), with the following message:

“No price results were found. Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection, but there are other ways to check for available seats—more info below our timetable.”

I highly doubt that those trains are fully booked, but I can't get reservations on the ÖBB website yet either. Any idea why this is the case?

You're also too early for Spiez to Milan. If you check on trenitalia.com, you'll see that the ECs for that date can't be booked yet.

Yeah that’s what I guessed, but it’s funny that it’s only for that weekend and not any other date around it. Thanks so much for your help!
