A rail strike in Belgium will impact train travel from 8 March 2026 to 11 March 2026. Due to the strike, a limited number of trains will be running, and alternative train services will operate in accordance with SNCB-NMBS railway staff availability.

We recommend checking the planner in the Rail Planner App or the SNCB-NMBS timetable shortly before departing for your planned journey for up-to-date train times. To find out more about the strike, please read the SNCB-NMBS strike announcement.

International trains travelling in or through Belgium:

Eurostar

Eurostar informs their clients by e-mail/SMS if their train has been cancelled. The e-mail address or phone number given at the moment of the reservation will be used. An overview of cancelled trains can be found on the Eurostar timetable.

TGV INOUI

TGV INOUI informs their clients by e-mail/SMS if their train has been cancelled. The e-mail address or phone number given at the moment of the reservation will be used. An overview of cancelled trains can be found here.

For domestic journeys in Belgium, the domestic timetable planner (on www.belgiantrain.be and in the NMBS app) will be much more up to date than any other planner. They should be up to date 24 hours in advance.

NMBS/SNCB claim they don't know anything yet about international train service, but NS published an overview already a few days ago on this page with trains from/to the Netherlands that will be cancelled.

I'd expect DB to publish any changes for ICE trains on this page. Filter for "Fernverkehr” and also in their planner on www.bahn.com.
