General Strike in Italy 8 March 2025

I’ve read other questions and answers on the topic of strikes, including great info about guaranteed travel on weekdays and holidays, but haven’t seen anything yet about Saturday travel.

We plan to travel from Innsbruck to Ponte Gardena-Laion on Saturday, 8 March, with a train change to RV 3843 in Brennero at 13:00.

I expect we need to plan a different arrival day in Italy from Austria?  We have a flex pass.

There are a few guaranteed trains in the early morning and the early evening.

From Brenner, the guaranteed evening departure is is 17:38 (may be delayed until 18:00), with a planned arrival at Waidbruck-Lajen (Ponte Gardena-Laion) at 18:39. There may be more train, but this one is guaranteed. Also see:

Saturday counts as a working day.

Thanks for your reply - Is Saturday considered a weekday in Italy?  Seems I read somewhere that it is?

strikes on Sunday and holidays have, since some weeks at Trenitalia, guaranted trains.
