Once you connected your pass to your “trip” (travel diary), you’ll see a grey ledger that you can tap. Tapping it for the first train of the day, will generate the QR-code of the pass, which counts as your ticket.
There’s quite a good instruction video here, showing you the ins and outs. It’s quite easy once you get the hang of it.

You will only see the gray switch for the Journey once the pass is activated, which you should do just before boarding the first train of your travel.
