Help planning transportation

I am planning a trip as a solo 60 year old in Jan 2026.

1/24 - leave Chamonix early to travel to Interlocken OST. I want to take the Mont Blanc Express and golden pass express.

1/25 - leave Interlocken for Montreux - Golden Pass Express preferred

1/26 - Montreux to Gruyere and back by train

1/27 - Leave Montreux  late morning to Paris, High speed train if available

What eurail pass should I get? Will I need to reserve a seat on Mont Blanc? Will I need to reserve a seat (first class) on Golden Pass? Will I need to reserve a seat on high speed Montreux to Paris? If I have Eurail, how do add those reservations?

Any help appreciated.

No reservations are needed in Switzerland.

You will need a reservation for a TGV (high-speed train) in France or to France.

Start with this general introduction:

https://www.seat61.com/how-to-use-a-eurail-pass.htm

And for reservations:

https://www.seat61.com/interrail-and-eurail-reservations.htm

Then make a plan, with timetables, using a reliable planner, such as www.sbb.ch. After that, count the number of travel days and then check what pass you need.

TGV reservations are best booked on www.raileurope.com. Use "Add rail pass” and set currency to euro to avoid extra fees.
