+4It's indeed interesting but there are some exceptions. In Spain, on the Madrid-Hendaye railway and its branch lines (including the main lines into Asturias for instance) trains drive on the left for historical reasons too. Interrailing seems difficult at first sight, but it's pretty amazing.
