Nightjets

Antonia Undurraga

Hi everyone!

In your experience, are Nighjets on time? I have to book a train to get back to my city after doing Amsterdam-Zurich on the NJ, and I’m wondering how much spare time I have to consider ;-)

Thanks!

Unfortunately Nightjet punctuality is pretty terrible, especially on routes across Germany. Though the Amsterdam - Zurich is better at the moment than it used to be!

I'd consider a 2h break in Zurich.

If you're planning to get a Sparbillet/billet dégriffé SBB should allow you to take a later train free of charge if the NJ is late. But better plan enough margin in the first place!
