Hi, I would like to take a nighttrain from my homecountry. Does it count as one outbound, even when I‘m still in my homecountry at midnight?

Ja, du darfst nur nach Mitternacht nicht mehr umsteigen. Solange der Nachtzug vor Mitternacht in Deutschland abfährt, zählt das zum vorherigen Tag.
