A reservation for Bucharest to Halkali cannot be bought online. Known possibilities:

• At a CFR ticket office in Romania.
• At a DB ticket office or via phone (collect at a DB ticket machine).
• Order from CFR via e-mail and then collect at the ticket office in Bucharest.

After that, you can still travel but you'll have to change in Gorna Orjahovica and Dimitrovgrad. From Dimitrovgrad, you can use a sleeper or couchette in the train coming from Sofia.
