Skis on trains?

I’ll be travelling to Italy and Austria in a few weeks for a skiing trip. I’m flying in and out of Munich and taking trains to the towns and resorts where I plan to ski. Anyone have any tips for bringing skis with me or how to find the info I need?

It sounds like each rail company has it’s own rules, but I’m struggling to find the companies names through the Eurail trip planner so I can research it. I’d like to bring my own skis but if the rules are too restrictive then I can rent at each of my stops instead.

From Munich to Austria and in Austria should be fine. ÖBB and Westbahn explicitly allow ski.

No idea about italy (and i dont speak italian)

The Route planner on the DB website(https://int.bahn.de/en/ ) shows the operators of the trains in the details.
