Will be traveling to Vienna next Saturday and plan on some trips to Melk, Salzburg, Brno, Bratislava and Budapest by rail. Any major issues to be concerned with of the last two weeks of December? Any help is appreciated.

Trains will be busy around the Christmas and new year period.
Most of those routes do not require reservations but you would be advised to get them on the longer journeys at least.
Use live planners to check schedules, do not rely on the eurail app which can be incorrect.
