Hi, We are travelling in July & August. We have a days travel in July and 5 days in August, does that mean I need to book 6 days in one month of 6 days in two months?

There are no 6 days within one or two months pass. Either 5 or 7 days within a one month period so 22nd July - 21st August for example.
Another question : where are you travelling ? It is peak season, some trains require seat reservations and can sell out well in advance. Definitely book in advance, especially if you're a group. There are always slower reservation-free alternatives. Eurail is not the best place to book (2€ fee per person per train, it quickly adds up). Have a look at :

It is often complicated/impossible to book for 11 so you may have to split your group in 2, although sometimes it's possible to ask to sit next to each other (on other websites than eurail.com).
