different train numbers in SBB and Eurail App

I'm planning a trip in Eurail app from Visp to Andermatt, following the schedule shown in the first screenshot. The train number is RE522.

However, when I checked the timetable in the SBB app, it showed the schedule in the second screenshot, with the train number R43.

I'm wondering if these are the same train. Is it okay to board R43 while I add my trip in the Eurail app as RE522?

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Yeah it’s fine.

43 is the line number, like a bus. 522 is the specific train number for the 0908 departure.

You’ll see this if you check times on bahn.com

Some databases use one, some use the other.

Thank you for your prompt reply. One more question, do I need to add each journey in the app before I board?

Yes, make sure to add the exact train you’re on.

In reality you can adjust this after you’ve boarded if necessary - eg if there’s a change of plan’s and it all happens in a rush, but you should have the exact train added to your Trip and toggled on.
