Linking train trip to app without seat reservation

I want to use my interrail pass to cover the local train that takes us to St Pancras International for the Eurostar. I do not need to reserve a seat. How do I add that to my pass?

Thanks

Look for the train in the planner and save it to your trip. On the day you travel, shortly before you board, you add it to your pass.

This process is th same for all trains, regardless of whether you have a seat reservation.

You don't need to activate your pass or a travel day in advance.

You look the trip up in “planner”, you choose which coincidence you like and add it to a trip, that you had created before in “My Trip” or that you can create at the moment of saving the journey.
The trip has to be connected to a pass. You can do this right away or later.

Also, be sure to search for trains to “London St Pancras”, not “London St Pancras International” in Rail Planner, or it won’t find the domestic trains.

Thank you everyone. It is slowly becoming clearer. I am travelling on Thursday. Can I activate it now so I can check that everything is ok?

You can activate at any time. It's not recommended to do that in advance because you never know what will happen and you can only cancel activation until midnight before validity starts. If you activate and then wake up ill, you can't cancel anymore, the clock starts ticking and you may loose travel days.

However, you can activate, with a future start date, check if it all works and the cancel the activation of your pass again, until the day you start your trip.
