Travel day confusion

This is our first Interrail trip, and I think I have most of the details under control.

My confusion starts with the travel app.

I understand the definition of a travel day - but…

On our first day of travel we are going from St Pancras to Lausanne with changes in Paris and Geneva.

The last leg of the journey does not involve the need to book seats, so we are free to travel as and when we please.

How do I record this in the app as a travel day?

Do I need to include all the interstitial stops, or do I merely select the date and enter the start and end points?

The start time is fixed by the service from London that we are booked on, but our final arrival time is open to discussion as we can just jump on any train that covers that leg.

Hello @Vegit8

To travel, you must activate the pass, define your journey before boarding, for example London - Paris, Paris - Geneva and Geneva - Lausanne, and activate them to get your day ticket (QR code). I find that it is easier to define every leg separately in case of changes. In Switzerland you can take every train during the day of validity.

In London you must show the ticket and/or the reservation for the check-in, in Paris to access the platform. Reservations are also mandatory on the TGV Lyria between Paris and Geneva.

Also check this page, especially the part "Getting ready to board the train”:
