Replacement Covid Passes

I bought regular passes in the Rail Europe Website. Due Covid Pandemic I could not travel and, after almost two years changing e-mails about our passes Rail Europe sent me by e-mail COVID REPLACEMENT passes numbers, issued by Eurail. Our passes were not activated and got now 11 months. Rail Europe just say now that these COVID REPLACEMENT pases are non-refundable and non- exchangable, and I saw the information in this Eurail Community website that  Passes without an activation date will automatically have an additional 12 months added to the original 11 months overall validity and taht I do not need to do anything else and may activate my Pass up to 12 months after the "Must be activated before" date on your Pass at a train station in Europe.  BUT Rail Europe says I just canno use the passes !! Can someone help me please !
