Last year we took the train from Trondheim to Bodø. This was a beautiful train ride with stunning views. For the first time we crossed the polar circle. It felt like the polar express. We will never forget this journey.

My favourite train journey so far was from Austria to Copenhagen, Oslo, Finse, Bergen, Stockholm and Hamburg - seeing how the landscapes changed around me and watching as it became more and more nordic and wild was truly magnificent. From the sea to the glacier, everything was in reach by train!

Possible future destinations are Switzerland and France - maybe combine train travelling with some long distance hiking...

My favorite journey so far has been the Glacier Express from St. Moritz to Zermatt.
The second one is from Sargans to Innsbruck, the overall experience is just orgasmic.
I would love to try the trains connecting the Nordic countries, as I’ve heard a lot from my friends.

I'm planning to do my next interrail-trip from Berlin to Stockholm, to visit my friend there :) On the way I want to stay in different places and sleep in my hamac, which I have since last summer and finally wanna try out! Also I want to travel alone to try out how it feels, because I'm thinking about doing Wanderschaft after my Carpenter-Ausbildung🔨

Narvik, Norway's northernmost railway station is on top of my wish list. I would love to travel all the way to the Artic by train!

After being inspired by the music of Edvard Grieg in music school as a child, I dreamed of traveling through Norway by train. This spring, after 10 years, that dream finally came true. The route Stockholm – Oslo – Bergen – Flåm – Oslo – Trondheim – Bodø – Narvik – Stockholm. My longerst and most favorite train journey. 4286km and 59 hours.

The next leg is to complete Scandinavia by taking the route Stockholm – Malmö – København – Århus – Stavanger – Oslo – Stockholm.

Myrdal station on Bergen-line starting point for Flåm-line

one of my favorite long distance train routes is from Berlin to Totnes in the UK.

My favorite train ride is the one in sri lanka going from kandy to haputale. It was just amazing seeing the landscape change through the open door and passing waterfalls and tea plantations. My favorite train ride in Europe was Oslo to Bergen through mountains and lakes with snow in summer -magical !

I loved travelling through Slovenia from North to South, through mountains, along lakes and rivers so beautiful :)

Loved the Tauernbahn when crossing Austria on the way back from Berlin to Venice, and the Prague to Berlin line along the Elbe.

The favorite route is from Ajaccio to Bastia in Corsica island. Unforgettable!

I love a night train, so anywhere that lets me travel overnight and wake up to good coffee and nice views! Really fancy the night trains into the Arctic circle to see the northern lights....

I would love to travel to Italy soon. My sisters and I want to travel together this summer and have decided on Italy as our destination. We want to go to Trieste, Venice and Lake Garda. As I‘ve never been to Italy I am super excited to go and experience a few days of italian summer and hopefully fall in love with it.:)

Turin-Reggio Calabria, you can notice how Italy is different from north to south. The trees, mountains, houses changes a lot!

The train ride that has been on my bucket list for a while is a trip through the Baltics! To me, it’s an underrated region of Europe that deserves to be explored more, because it seems to be full of charm, culture, history and beautiful nature. 🌟💖🚞🗺️

In the late seventies I travelled with my friend (later wife) from Poland (Poznan) to Berlin (West). We had no money to buy tickets for the train from Moscow to Hoek van Holland (NL). Only reserved chairs we could pay with our last Zloty's. Coupons bought on the station of Poznan. During the ride we were controlled about six times on passports and luggage. Never on tickets. In Berlin family helped us to continue the ride later on. It was our first and only ride without payment for the trip. Exciting, very exciting. And the first of many very nice but less risky railwayrides afterwards.

There is a small train in Austria that connects three cities. We call it "Hausruckbahn". The first half of this route is especially beautiful and holds a lot of memories for me.

The journey on my wishlist are so many! The possibilities with Interrail are endless. But one special one is a journey through the UK. I have travelled by train there, but I would love to see the rolling hills, the green, discover more of England, but also scotland and Ireland. I think this country has a lot more to offer than London.

It would undoubtedly be the journey to Flåm, Norway. This is exactly how I imagine a real adventurous journey. It’s not just about watching the landscape through a window; it’s about feeling the spray of the water on your skin and finishing the day with a swim in the heart of nature.

One of the most beautiful journey is the regional train from Ventimiglia to Torino. Wonderfull landscapes passing by, enjoying the forest, mountains and the wild rivers.
