A wonderful train ride was the day we left from Innsbruck to Ljubljana. The majestic views in the Alps covered in sun were an absolute thrill!

I have travelled many lovely train routes, but there is the one I haven't travelled yet. I would love to take a train from Zurich to Innsbruck. There are no mountains in my home country, Finland, so it would be amazing to see mountains through the train windows.

I love the train routes with sleeper cars. Paris - Toulouse, Stuttgart - Budapest, etc.. These are such great alternatives to flights and still leave more precious time for day time adventures.

2 night trains: From Vienna to Rome, and from there to Sicily. Absolute bliss!

My favorite route would be from switzerland to stockholm, with stops in denmark. I remember suddenly waking up in a big cargo hall - the train was on a ferry!

Bought 2 interrail passes before to explore the UK, but if I win this pass, I would like to 'train’ along the westcoast of France and stop at beautiful coastal towns, and make my way all along to coast down to Porto in Portugal. I can see myself sipping some port looking out over the water with some tapas in front of me already!

I loved the Eurostar from Paris to London because it’s means that I am going into my favorite town, but it’s not a slow train. I would like to test a night sleeper train to Stockholm in the future.

The journey from Bergen to Oslo is my favorite so far. Although i enjoyed traveling through the UK by train as well.

From Valence Ville in France to Geneve in Switzerland. Passing through Grenoble gives you this beautiful scenery of gorgeus mountain wiews. My mom was scared just looking at it and how people of Grenoble and sorrounding area aren’t affraid of living under those huge rocks. But it really is impressive and most satisfiying to ride on a train through that part of country.

I would love to visit Northern Europe - especially Sweden, Norway and Finland, but also Denmark and Poland. So yeah, I want to visit all the European destinations!

I really enjoy travelling in Switzerland, the views are beautiful and the trains just made for families. My baby has accompanied me since he is 2 months old and I can say that traintravell is his favorite means of transportation.

I have lot of good memories from the past traintravels, but I particularly enjoyed the way back home from Erasmus. We went from Kiruna in north of Sweden after we saw the northern lights, via Hamburg (very special experience to be borded on the ferry with the train) and then back home to Slovakia. We on purpose chose the train, in order to go home slowly (it took us 5 days with stops), because we did not want Erasmus year to end just with a 2 hours flight.

my favorite trip was my first interrail trip that took me and my dear friend helene to italy, france and spain after our graduation to visit friends and go hiking. but the most beautiful train ride is of course the bergensbane between oslo and bergen. even in early summer you can start in warm oslo, cross the whole country through forests, snow and rough mountains and end up in the nicest but also rainiest city: Bergen.

I would love to go to Finnland from Belgium by train. I know it’s quite far, but I don’t take planes and I want to discover new places… along the way I would love to visit some friends who are living abroad in Sweden, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Poland… you can say I see it big! 😊

I'd loove to travel all the way to Istanbul/Turkey by train! This is where i did my erasmus years ago and i'd love to go back. It would be amazing to go via the Greek islands and take the ferry to Turkey from there!

I’d like to travel from Italy to France (Annecy) ,  Switzerland (Lausanne, Interlaken)  to Germany (Kostanz) followig the Alps and beautiful lakes,  crossing multiples border, then go up to the Baltic Sea crossing Germany’s beautiful cities like Munchen, Erfurt, passing through the Hartz Massif, then up to Rostock and  Lubeck.  I would do camping together with interrail to be in contact with nature.

I would love to travel on Eastern & Oriental Express between Singapore and Taman Negara Malaysia. It is on my wishlist because of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express and this scenic route goes right into the lush tropical jungles of South East Asia.

La portion du TER de nuit entre Cerbère et Montpellier est paisible, avec la lenteur nécessaire pour apprécier le paysage, à faire et refaire !

Taking the Eurostar from London to Paris then the night train down to the Côte d’Azur… the best part is waking up in the morning as the train meanders along the Mediterranean coast:

My most favorite is the trip from Domodossola to Locarno. It is a beautifull trip over 52 km, known as the  Centovalli-spoorlijn, that connects  Italy and Switserland. The trip takes about  2 hrs.

My favourite train journey so far has been during my DiscoverEU trip from Zürich to Vienna. The views from the journey were amazing, especially the nature and the lakes!
