Everytime I travel between my home city Pilsen and where I live now Prague, I enjoy looking at the rock formations and Karlštejn castle from the train window.

I would love to do the Glacier express one day or Norther Lights train.

Slow travel from the Netherlands to Stockholm shines in Denmark as you cross the iconic Øresund Bridge from Copenhagen to Malmö, gliding above the sea. Once in Sweden, the view shifts to forests, lakes, and classic red houses passing calmly by your window. The gradual transition north makes you feel like you’re truly arriving in Sweden, not just landing there.

I'm too hungry to settle for just one favorite route. There is so much to see and great opportunities, each with its own charm. The route is always good when there is great company, books, music and just time to enjoy. Next, however, I would like to take the Orient Express trip from Paris to Istanbul. Or go around Spain, Italy, maybe France. Climb up to the Swiss Alps and walk on glaciers. There are so many options to hop on to. Why these? I really cannot say more than just that I feel like that.😊

Very excited to be doing my first interrail holiday going to Brussels, Prague, Krakow, Budapest, Bratislava, Wien, Ljubljana and Zagreb

All journeys are great, but the surprise ones are a bit special, so for my favorite I’ll say it was in the regional trains in Germany, when we stopped at Nurnberg randonly and stumbled upon a jazz music festival. For my next trip I’d love to go in Switzerland, Austria and Hungary, and travel the alps from there.

My favourite train route is the Bernina railway in Switzerland between St. Moritz and Tirano (Italy). The trains are slow but the views are amazing. Was there two time, one time with a group from the Eurail Community and the weather was bed, but the experience amazing.

If there is one strange route that will be an adventure on itself is the Scotland route from Kyle of Lochalsh in the west to Wick on the north east coast.  This single track train route with a length of 200 km crosses the northern mainland of  Scotland. On average it takes  10 hours, but to enjoy the Scottish landscape it is best done in two days. Including the trains to and from there with a short break in London and the Europstar  to west europe it all could be possible in seven travel days.

My favourite Journey would be any night train in Europe ! I love the idea of falling asleep somewhere and waking up in another country. I also love my daily “go to work” train especially we it cross the river !

I'd love to take the Balkan Express route through Sofia and Istanbul. There's something so romantic about crossing borders by rail and watching the architecture and culture shift slowly as you head toward the gateway of Asia.

Next on my list is the Glacier express doing the full journey from St Moritz to Zermatt. It has always been on my bucket list and I really would love to do it.

my favourite train journey was definitely through Slovenia. old train with pull down windows, tracks right by the river mist of the time, going through the mountains. the views were incredible. and also the towns i have stopped in, such nice people, pastries like kremšnita, beautiful hikes. best journey i have made so far!

The one I am most looking forward to (and the one that will hopefully happen soon!) is the Bernina express. It seems like an amazing experience and I cannot wait to see all of those wonderful sights for myself :D

Hard to choose; but: from Stockholm to Kiruna (from southern Sweden to the northest part) is quite amazing. One day train trip, through the nature: millions of trees, cute Swedish-designed, tiny, wooden houses by the lakes. It is a harmony of the rhytm as the train goes and the nature exists and also as the wind goes by. I just recommend this route for all the train- and nature lovers.

The one I would most like to ride on would be the European Sleeper train. I’ve never had the opportunity to ride a sleeper train before and it seems like such an amazing experience. The route I would most like to take would be Brussels - Prague since it seems to be a very pleasant way to explore the landscape of mainland Europe.

The next train journey on my wishlist is Paris to Istanbul. My dream country is Turkey and would love doing it by train!

Favourite: from Oslo to Bergen. Because of the cinematic snowy landscapes.

I’d like to travel to Slovenia! (but I enjoy old secondary small route, like Faenza-Firenze in Italy)

My favorite trip was the one I took during my first Interrail trip at 18, from Prague to Budapest. It was my first train ride in broad daylight ever! I remember it was a beautiful sunny day, the view was splendid, and we even made friends on that same train. Forever a core memory.

My longest and favorite rail trip was from Milano to Siracusa. About 20 hours, included the night in the train. A comfortable night in a berth compartment only for women (4 beds, we hadn’t known each other

before). Loads of beautiful shoresides and an amazing experience : to see our train from the deck of the ferry between Villa San Giovanni and Messina !

Any journey that ends in St Ives in Cornwall. It’s by far the most romantic way to arrive there, changing from the main line at St Erth and slowly rolling along the river Hayle estuary towards the sea, passing along Carbis Bay, then through Primrose Valley to arrive at St Ives station, right on Porthminster Beach. Never, ever go to St Ives by car - there’s nowhere to park anyway!

So many trips to remember and celebrate from Interrailing around Europe in 2025 but the journey from Vienna through to Venice in Italy and then on to Rome was simply stunning.

The train along the French south coast was amazing, stopping off along the way at Cannes and Nice - except when passing through Monaco and was charged like 50 euros for my phone data due to roaming D:
