I have a Eurail pass and am trying to determine the best way to make reservations. How is travel.b-europe different from Eurail.com reservations? In looking around travel.b-europe I see you can put in a seating preference which you cannot do on Eurail.com. I know it’s not guaranteed, but at least they ask. Does it matter which site I use for reservations?

The first and main difference is booking fees : 2€ per person per train on eurail.com, compared to 4€ per order (multiple trains and up to 9 people) on b-europe.

Other smaller differences : way clearer overview on b-europe imho + seat preference.

travel.b-europe.com also offers 1st class seat reservations for 2nd class passholders -> they include the upgrade cost + the seat. This can be useful when Eurail shows no availability in 2nd class (as an example)…

It doesn't matter where you make seat reservations as they're completely separate from the app/pass. There are often better ways to book seat reservations than eurail.com with less or no fees. Have a look at :

Do not hesitate for further questions.

Thanks. This was helpful.
