I’m using a global pass (mobile).
Previously, I’ve booked seat reservations with Eurail but this time did it directly from www.bahn.de.
I received a copy of the seat reservations in my email and downloaded the DB app and the seat reservations are there but there is no QR code.
I was just wondering whether I need a QR code and if I have done something wrong.

The QR code, that is your ticket, you create in the app when you have connected the journey in your Trip to your pass. Only do that just before boarding the train. Please read more below.
Here is some useful information from the experienced travellers in the Community regarding both planning, reservations and activation of pass and travel days.
Planning
The rail planner is normally not up to date, as it only is updated once a month, so to be sure of the time table you better check the timetable and availability on the websites of the national railways. The bigger national railways, like DB (Germany) SBB (Switzerland) and ÖBB (Austria) cover several countries.
Reservations
The advice from the experienced travellers in the community is to use other ways to make reservations than the Interrail/Eurail website. You can look at the guide in the link:

If you, after having looked at the guide, have questions about how to make specific reservation, please give your travel details (departure date, time and route) preferably in a new topic, and you will get advice.
Please note that Interrail/Eurail charges an extra fee of 2 EUR per person and train in addition to the fee for the seat reservation.
Activation of pass
During the activation process, when you choose the start day of the validity of the pass, the first day of the validity period is automatically made a travel day, even if you don't enter a journey, the advice is therefore not to activate the pass before the first travel day as you only can deactivate the pass before 00.00 on the day the validity starts. If your travel plans change in the last moment you will loose travel days if you have activated the pass in advance.
It can be wise to make a test and activate the pass with a start date well in the future and then deactivate the pass immediately, just to see that everything works.
Activation of travel day
The advice from the experienced travellers in the community is also never to activate a travel day, that is connect a journey to your pass, until just before boarding the train, otherwise you might loose a travel day if your travel plans change in a late stage You can't delete a travel day in the past. A travel day can only be deleted until 23.59 CET the day before the travel day.

Thanks, but I’m still a little bit confused (I read the link to reservations).
I have unlimited 2 month pass. So in the Railplanner app I found my train for tomorrow (24.7) to Hamburg and added that to “My Trip” There is no QR code.
I then went to DB train website and paid 5.90 euro for a seat.
Is this all I need to do? Or do I still need to pay the $8.60 USD on the Eurail website as well?

Eurail website sells the reservation for 6€ EUR + 2€ EUR booking fee. Deutsche Bahn sell it in 1st class for 5,90€ EUR.
And yes your ticket is the pass on the app. To show it you have to add the trip to your pass and so you can show the QR-Code or the ticket information text next to the QR-Code. Probably nobody will ask you for the reservation, because it is only optional.

The price for reservation on trains with optional reservation can be set by the train company that sells the reservation and not by the train company that runs the train, this means like you pay via Austrian Railways or Czech Railways for the same train for the reservation 3€ EUR. Eurail sells the reservation via Belgian Railways for 6€.
To get the QR code, which is your ticket, you first need to connect the journey to your Trip in the app. This you can do in advance.
Then, just before boarding the train, you connect the journey in your Trip to your pass and create the ticket. This you have to do for all journey, no matter if you have a reservation or not.
The ticket is the main thing-that is shown as a QR-code for all day-also same if you use more as 1 train.
REServ is just optional and has no realtion as such to myTrip-in this case noone will be interested in it, as long as you sit on the right seat in the right train. Be prepared for delays-its DB/ICE.
