I am showing a train transfer of 7 minutes on a train from Bolzano to Lienz in Fortezza, I am trying to get to Ljubljana. Is it possible to make that with two people moving a suitcase each also?

Franzensfeste (Fortezza) is not a big station, so that should normally work.

As always, try to minimise you luggage.

Should be enough time if your train is on time. As long as you dont take the last connection of the day its not much of a problem if you miss your connection.

The trains to Lienz start at platform 1 or 1T.

The train from Bolzano arrives at platform 3. You need to take the underpass and go to platform 1. If the train start at 1T, you need to go along platform 1 till there is a new track.

Thanks for the responses, I have a followup question.  For the earlier route I have a seat reservation for a leg of the trip that goes from Spittal-Millstaetter to Ljubljana.  If I miss the transfer on this route in Lienz there is another train 2 hours later but it takes a different route to Ljubljana with seat reservations recommended on two legs of that route.  If I buy seats on the later train just in case, can I get refunds if I happen to catch the earlier train?  Thanks for your help.

Only if you buy reservations on cd.cz, which can be refunded until 15 minutes before departure, but I'm not sure you can book them there.
