TGV Prices unavailable

Me and my friends were planning a trip to france(30th, July).

We have the Global Interail pass and the only thing we need is a reseration on the TGV.

The problem is that every train during the 28th and 30th July, has this:

“Prices unavailable

No price results were found for this connection. It is possible that all pass holder seats are sold out. Please try searching for another connection or check 'More information' and try other ways to book this seat reservation. If no pass holder seats are available anymore you need to buy a separate full fare ticket to board.”
We also went to a side “https://travel.b-europe.com/Eurail-GE/en/booking-tgv”, but when we tried booking and entering our pass number, which was an option, it said
“You have entered an invalid passholder number”. Our pass numbers are right!

What can we do to get a seat reservation?

It probably means that all seats available for Interrail Pass Holders have been taken. It is the big switch-over weekend in France with July holidayers going home and the August ones leaving…

You have to get in touch with support@eurail.zendesk.com for a pass cover number if you try to book via https://travel.b-europe.com/, as the pass cover number is not the same as the pass number, and a mobile pass does not come with the cover number.

Good luck!

The rail planner is normally not up to date, as it only is updated once a month, so to be sure of the time table you better check the timetable and availability on the websites of the national railways. The bigger national railways, like DB (Germany) SBB (Switzerland) and ÖBB (Austria) cover several countries.

The advice from the experienced travellers in the community is to use other ways to make reservations than the Interrail/Eurail website. You can look at the guide in the link:

https://community.eurail.com/train-connections-reservations-47/how-to-get-reservations-105

If you, after having looked at the guide, have questions about how to make specific reservation, please give your travel details (departure date, time and route) preferably in a new post, and you will get advice.

You can call  b-europe and make the reservation. No need of Pass Cover Number.

The phone call is rather expensive.

https://www.b-europe.com/EN/Contact/Contact-Centre

The best way to make reservations for French trains is to call SNCF. No need of Pass Cover Number.

https://www.sncf.com/en/customer-service/contact-us/telephone

Press #85 for English, no booking fees, reservations are sent via e-mail

To get your Pass Cover Number, if you still will need it, you need to contact Customer Support through this form and ask for the Pass Cover Number.

https://eurail.zendesk.com/hc/en-001/requests/new

Customer Support is currently overloaded with requests so you will probably have to be patient to get help. Please let Customer Support know what date your travel will start so that they can prioritise your request correctly.
