Goodmorning,

in July I must travel to Lione but I knew about the problem on the line from Milan to Paris by TGV.

Do you suggest any solution for me?

How can cheaply travel to Lione?

Thank you

Rosa

If "Lione" is italian for "Lyon" and you'd like to go from Milano (you didn't tell):

There's an afternoon TGV from Milano with a bus replacement in between. For Lyon, you need to change once more in Chambéry-Challes-les-Eaux. But that's not cheap if you are holding an Interrail pass but may be a good idea if you do need a normal ticket (you didn't tell).

Best idea may be to go to Genf in Switzerland and from there by direct train to Lyon. But there's a bus replacement in summer, too on the italian part. Will be cheaper if you are holding a railpass.

Avoiding any bus replacement would mean going via Lugano in Switzerland (takes about 10h). That's possible and may be an option if you are holding a railpass.

But timetables for July aren't published yet so you need to wait anyway.

Thanks
