A nationwide rail strike in Belgium starting from Sunday, 23 March at 22:00 CET until the end of the day on Sunday, 30 March may result in limited rail services across the network. Alternative train services may be operational depending on the SNCB staff availability. We recommend checking the SNCB timetable shortly before departing for your planned rail journey for up-to-date train times. For more information about the strike, please read the strike announcement on the SNCB website. ⚠️Dombås - Vinstra line closure due to damage from floodTravel Disruptions

Due to a damaged bridge that resulted from a flood, the Dovre railway is partially closed between Dombås and Vinstra. According to Bane NOR, it is difficult to estimate when the repair work will be completed. SJ Norge has canceled night trains between Oslo and Trondheim, as well as two daytime departures. During the day, buses will replace trains between Dombås and Vinstra/Ringebu, and trains will run for the remainder of the route. Note: train departure times between Trondheim and Dombås have been altered. For up-to-date information, please check Entur.

Twice annually, the European Railway Carriers release an updated timetable. This refresh introduces exciting new connections, faster travel times, and modernized routes. Already dreaming up your 2025 travel plans? Here are the most thrilling changes to come in the next year: 1. A new carrier in Poland joins Eurail’s Pass Network The timetable change brings new routes for Eurail travelers to explore in Poland. The regional carrier Koleje Małopolskie of Lesser Poland Voivodeship (Małopolska), will be added to the Pass network. They run a vast network of regional trains connecting places such as Krakow, Tarnow, Oswiecim, and Zakopane. InnoTrans is renowned as the world’s biggest trade fair centered on the rail transport industry. Held every two years at the Messe Berlin exhibition centre , this year’s event took place from September 22 to 25, and we had the pleasure of attending. Here's a round-up of the exciting highlights from our visit. InnoTrans: Impressive Scale Our visit to Berlin was a fantastic opportunity for networking, learning about the latest industry developments, and reconnecting with familiar faces. We quickly realized the sheer scale of InnoTrans exceeded our expectations. With an impressive turnout of nearly 3,000 exhibitors from over 50 countries and around 170,000 visitors from 133 different countries, it really gave a great sense of just how complex and vibrant the industry is. ⚠️ Railway line closure in NorwayTrain Disruptions

A mishap on the Trondheim-Bodø railway line has resulted in some sections of this line being closed. All trains on this line have been impacted. Trains run between Trondheim and Mo i Rana, a replacement bus will run from Mo i Rana and Bodø. Night trains between Trondheim and Bodø have been cancelled for the time being. We recommend that you check the SJ Nord website or the Entur website for up-to-date train timetables and information about your travels on this line. Next generation ÖBB Nightjet: travel between Vienna and Munich to Rome in comfort

In case you missed it: Sleeping overnight on a train just got cozier. You now have the chance to experience the “new generation Nightjet” on your way to Munich, Florence, and Rome and many other European destinations. Passenger comfort was a top priority when designing the new Nightjet, according to OBB. “The new generation Nightjet makes overnight travel even more pleasant for you, with modern design, more privacy and greater comfort,” its website reads . “With a speed of up to 230 km/h, the new trains take you to many European cities overnight in a climate-friendly way.” In a reimagination of overnight train travel, the new Night jet hopes to help you maximise sleep so you can arrive at your destination refreshed and ready to take on the day ahead.
