A bit about yourself
Hi - I'm Scottish and in 1995 we did nearly 16,000 km in a month including the TGV from Bordeaux to Paris for £2200, all in including flights. I’m particularly interested in hearing from people who have been in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Romania, Moldova, Odessa and Moscow for their advice. Our pre-euro and pre-internet trip required 14 sets of commission free currency and travellers’ cheques in 6 different currencies. We used mostly couchettes and only 'slept' on night trains 2 nights on normal seats. Our best bargain was the 2-berth sleeper with included shower next door from Oslo to Copenhagen. Our 1995 route was Paris Barcelona Malaga Algeciras Tangiers Gibraltar Ronda Cordoba Seville Albuferia Lisbon Madrid Bordeaux Paris Copenhagen Stockholm Oslo Bergen Berlin Munich Prague Budapest Vienna Venice Rome Monaco Nice Bezier Paris! Also, happy to reply in French, German, Spanish and, with help from Google Translate, even Italian!
