Need some help with tour in Slowakia / Poland

Dear Interrail Community,

I would like to go on a three-week round trip in July.
I have planned:
1. night train from Cologne to Vienna
Question: Can I also use night trains with the Global Pass?
2. Vienna to Bratislava
3. Bratislava to Štrbské Pleso
Question: I cannot select Štrbské Pleso. When I enter “Štrbské Pleso” in my “Add new destination” planning, it doesn't find the city. What am I doing wrong?
Question: I want to hike here for a week. Is this a good starting point for nice routes? Or do you have better suggestions?
4. Štrbské Pleso to Krakow
5. Krakow to Wroclaw
6. Wroclaw to Chemnitz
Question: Here I have the same problem as with Štrbské Pleso - the place is not found???
7. Chemnitz to Cologne.

I would be very happy to receive your tips and tricks.

The Interrail website also has a timetable planner that should contain all stations. It also has a planning tool ("Plan your trip” in the middle of the homepage), but I've never found it useful and it doesn't always count the travel days correctly.

Didn’t know that I have to plan with the app. Now it works. Thanks for this hint.

Do keep in mind that the Rail planner app is not reliable and often not up to date. The operators’ own websites/apps are more reliable, and for international journeys, bahn.de is a good starting point.

  1. You can use night trains. It uses just one travel day because only the date you board is counted.
  1. a. Štrbské Pleso is in the Rail planner app (but leave out the diacritics). Where are you looking?
  1. Chemnitz is in the Rail planner app.

I'd rather plan with a reliable timetable planner, such as bahn.de. And then count the travel days myself.
