I feel truly scammed here, not necessarily by Interrail, but by Renfe. Please state this clearly on the Interrail website for everyone to see before they buy an Interrail pass in order to travel in Spain. You need a reservation with your name for most trains in Spain. However, most of the time you can only get it if you go personally to a big-city-station, where you might have to pay up to 40€ to get a paper ticket that you can only use in paper form. No web option, no phone option. Like in the XIX century. If you’re not near a big city in Spain, you basically have no chance (unless you know someone who is willing to go to the station for you and then send you the paper ticket via snail mail). I can’t count the time, the money and the energy I have spent on this issue.
As from today it is possible to make Interrail/Eurail reservations for both seats, beds in sleeper and chouchette on the SJ Euronight between Stockholm and Hamburg Altona. For dates after the 10th of December, reservations can only be made at sj.se .According to the information I have reservations will not be possible through ÖBB as there are problems with the communication between the ÖBB and SJ reservation systems.
Hi, we just made a seat reservation for Thalys on 5/1 and want to change tot 6/1. It seems that this should be possible. Eurrail says response time can be up to 2 weeks. Is this really the case? In two weeks time the alternative seats are most likely already taken.
I have a train reservation for a train departing in about 10 hours that I received from the train station as the Rail Planner app instructed and I need to add the reservation to my pass on the rail planner mobile app but am unable to do so. Can someone please advise me on this? As an additional aside:Four ticket booth operators spent two hours fidgeting with my phone at the train station where I booked the aforementioned tickets and we’re unable to add the reservation to our journey for the travel day that had been activated. My wife and I have been traveling throughout Europe for the past month, we booked 3 reservations through the rail planner website and only one of the reservations added itself into our mobile passes the others we had to show the physical reservations and awkwardly explain to the train conductors that our travel days were activated but for some reason the reservations were not showing up on my phone. We were very fortunate to not have been fined during our journey
I have a question about planning the trip from Roma to Paris and London to Berlin. there are the long transfer time. Can I stay overnight in the station? For example, I will arrive at Paris at 23:17 from London and the next train will departure in 06:13 next day. Can I wait in the station overnight and there are any facilities I can take a rest in?
We have two 1st Class Global Eurail Passes and trying to make seat reservations. We are entering the correct Pass Cover Numbers, (E+8digits), on the Eurail website reservation site, BUT the Eurail website response on both is “Pass Cover Number doesn't look right”…..What is going on? The Pass Cover Numbers are correct...we double checked over and over.Eurail’s customer service is also rather useless…espcially that stupid bot.Is there any other way to reserve seats on TGV train (TGV9210) and THA train (THA9315) I am really finding these very expensive Eurail Passes to be very frustrating.Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.ThanksJacqui
I know that Eurail timetable has a low frequency update rate, however, the timetable was updated 3 days ago and most of the trains from the planner doesn't match with trains from National Railway. Hence, I don't know if the planner is capturing trains that the National Railway doesn't or if the planner has trains that doesn't exist.
Hello. My train has been canceled today, December 2, between Barcelona and Paris. I had a link from Paris to Salzburg that I booked with interrail and that I won't be able to board because it's impossible for me to get to Paris. Can you tell me how I recover the amount of my reservation? Thanks.
I’d like to travel to Naples from Trieste. The best route is via Venice, and this shows up on the trenitalia website for the date I want but not on the eurail booking app. It does show up on the app for other days (same day of the week as I want to travel available in other weeks) so must be a valid route and definitely seems to be running and bookable on trenitalia so I don’t really understand the discrepancy. It’s march 29th we’re looking at so quite far ahead. Any explanations/advice welcome!
Hello, I'm the holder of 2 Eurail Pass. The reason why I made an inquiry is because of the seat reservation. I put those seats in my shopping basket to reserve the seats I want.If you enter the shopping basket, there is a button called 'checkout', and you press the button and enter 'Billing details' and 'contact details'. After that, I tried to proceed to the next step by pressing the button 'continue to traveler details', but the button did not work.To solve this problem, I tried various browsers on the computer, tried English, Korean, and Spanish on the Eurail homepage, reduced the number of seats in the shopping cart to two, and tried using my cell phone. But none of them worked.If anyone knows the answer to this question, please answer. Thank you.
Hi all - looks like there are no seat reservations available from London to Paris on December 16th. We can go any time on December 16th, or any time after 5pm on December 15th. We have 2 Eurail global passes and have managed to reserve all other trains. Are there any alternative routes? I’m looking for other options than the $260 ticket from Eurostar :(

Hello everyone,I’d like to travel from the UK to Germany on 21 December by Interrail. Since I’ve been quite late, I have only been able to get a seat reservation to Amsterdam, not to Brussels. (Strange booking system logics...)The reservation is for the train leaving London St Pancras at 8:16. Since I want to continue on to Germany, changing in Brussels would save me a lot of time. Just to be sure: It should be possible to get off the train in Brussels at 11:12, rather than Amsterdam at 13:14, right?Thank you all in advance!Best,amadeu
I booked seat reservations for all of my travel plans of next weekend and never received confirmation of payment or the tickets but the money was taken out of my account. Where are my seat reservations?!!!!! At this pace of interrail induced mistakes I feel like flying Ryanair might not be so uncomfortable after all! 😡🤬😡😡😡
Hi Everyone,I’m a student geography in my third bachelors from Belgium. In the month of may 2023 our university will go on a field trip to Almeria. We normally fly but my fellow-students and I would love to go by train because this is more climate-friendly. I was looking into using the global pass (4 days in a month) to go there but the extra seat-reservations in France make in very expensive (€185 + €80 go + €80 return = €335). Being a student doesn’t pay very well so we are looking for cheaper alternatives to go from Brussels to the south of Spain. Do you guys have any tips for alternative routes which avoid these seat-reservations? Or which are cheaper in general? Thanks in Advance!
Hello everybody,I have booked my pass as a mobile ticket, only to then find out that my phone is too old for the Rail Planner-App. So now I need to cancel my ticket again to buy myself a paper pass instead. But I have already made a reservation for the Eurostar from London to Bruxelles and am anxious to lose that as there are only a limited number of seats available for people with interrail passes. Does anybody know if I will lose my reservation when I cancel my pass?Thank you so much for your help!
I am female, and when I was trying to make a seat reservation, my information listed me as Mr. Instead of Miss. I don’t know why this happened. Would this title matter when I present my pass to the train staff? Would they not allow me to be on the train for not having the right title?I have been trying to change this for days but this stupid chatbot doesn’t let me! It just says done when it didn’t do anything. I wonder if this title error is gonna matter that much. Please please help me.
For journeys from 11 December, Dutch and Belgian railways can book the TGVs between Paris and Barcelona again. That includes Interrail/Eurail reservations, which can be booked by phone or at one of their international ticket offices.Deutsche Bahn can no longer book pass reservations for these trains for journeys from from 11 December.I have updated the post about booking these trains. Since last week, Belgian railways can also book reservations for French domestic night trains again. Again, pass reservations can be booked by phone or at one of their international ticket offices.All reservations booked via Dutch or Belgian railways can be sent via email.
Looking to travel from London to Paris on 17th Dec for 4 on 1st Class. Unable to make seat reservations. Understand it might be tight on the seats. But Eurostar websites seem to have seats. What can i do to make the seat reservations. I dont want to spend money on this leg from London to Paris on top of Eurail Global Pass. Does going to the train station in person work? But i will only be in London on 15th. By that time, the ticket might really be sold out. What is my options?

Hello,I made a trip and reservation after I had activated my pass, on the app Rail Planner.I change phone since and now I started my travel but I can't find again on the app all my trip and reservations. I'm really worried...If I try to put the pass again in the app, it tells me that the pass was already used. I can't find how to connect to my account and my first train trip is the 26/11, so very soon.Someone can help me please ?
