Hi,I recently bought my Interrail pass and started to reserve seats. I would’ve need a ticket from Amsterdam - London on the 11st of August. I saw that there is no more seat on the Interrail site, so I checked the SNBC’s site. After pressing “Later trains” I found a train, got happy and reserved it… for 30th of August (accidentally). We have several other parts of the journey purchased so impossible to travel on the 30th of August.I tried the date changing on SNCB and on Eurostar as well, but I should pay around 700 euros. Do you have any idea what to do now? I found alternative ways to London from Brussels, and it would be okay for me, but I already paid 100 euros to a seat I will not need. Maybe there is a chance to get my money back or change the reservation to 11th of August? Thank you!
Hi,I’m trying to book reservations for some trains later in the weekend, and I cannot continue because the site only lists EU countries as countries of issue for documents, even though I have my country of residence and currency set to Canada. How do I change this, or can I just lie?
We’re from Australia and looking to travel through UK, France, Switzerland and Italy from mid October to late November. At this stage, we have 5 days planned of first-class Eurail travel over just under a month. We’ve never travelled on trains in Europe before.At this stage we intend to travel as follows (all daytime travel):Manchester Airport-London London-Avignon Paris-Geneva Geneva-Rome Rome-VeniceLogic says we need 2 x 5 day/1 month passes, and we would ideally like to have access to the passes electronically.Having had a look at the schedule, some of the services we’d be after seem to be available now, while others are yet to appear. I have had a look through a number of the conditions around reservations and pass purchasing, and some aspects aren’t completely clear.I have the following questions:How far in advance of travel should I purchase the passes? Do I have to activate the passes before I make my first reservation? Should reservations be made on the Eurail website, or shoul
I recently booked a reservation for Eurostar from Paris to London. I didn’t realize it was a 1st class reservation until I saw it on the ticket that it only valid for 1st class only. I actually did input my Eurail pass number in when booking, so I am not sure why it went through. There is no 2nd class ticket available to exchange. I am currently in Italy and not sure if the ticket office here can help since it is a different train operator. I was wondering if it is possible to pay the difference in price from 2nd to 1st class for reservation from b-europe. Anyone had the same experience? Should I call the customer service or I can just pay the difference at the Paris station?
Hello,je voudrais savoir si vous avez l’expérience en voyage familial avec ce pass.Je souhaiterais partir mi-décembre avec mes deux enfants bas âge (5-7) de France, région La Rochelle à Budapest Hongrie et je ne comprends pas trop ce pass: si je l’achète pour une durée de 4 jours / mois (dans ce cas, c’est de 250€) je peux faire les trajets ce que je veux pendant ces 4 jours ? Ils ont noté qqpart que j’aurais même pas besoin d’acheter les billets, mais quand-même la réservation doit être faite sur un site internet, non? Comment ça se passe, cette réservation? Il faut tout faire sur le site d’Interrail? Dans mon cas, notre voyage se fait avec qq escales; La Rochelle - Paris - Augsburg (ou Vienne) - Budapest. Je peux utiliser ce pass en France pour un trajet qui ne quitte pas directement le pays?Merci d’avance pour les réponses!Zoltan.
Italia Notte - reservations for our intended trip are open on trenitalia but not visible on Eurail? How long does it normally take for them to shownup on this site? ( we are looking to book 1 x 2 berth deluxe and 1 x 3 berth deluxe on thr Rome to Palermo 20:31 departure on 6 April 2023. )the special fares on Trenitalia are still more expensive in this case than the pass holder reservations at this point thank you
We purchased Train Tickets from WIEN (Vienna) to Salzburg. The Tickets are good for any train for 48 hours. We want to purchase Seat Reservations for either the 9:28 AM, or the 9:55 AM Direct Train (RJ and RJX). When we go through the process on the Website, the two times that we are interested in show “Ticket Not Available”. The ICE (Intercity) Trains that leaves at 9:15am, and 10:13am have openings for Seat Reservations. But the ICE Trains have over 30 stops between Vienna and Salzburg, and take over an hour longer, than the Direct Trains (at 9:28am & 9:55am).This is for May 15th, a Monday. When i look for the same times (928, and 955) on other Mondays before and after May 15th there have been opennings.Is there something special about Monday May 15th, that they would not open up Seat Reservations for 928 and 955 am Train?If we show up, without Seat Reservations, do the Trains tend to be full? Or are there normally open seats?Someone told us that because 928 and 955 are popular
Hi,I have a Interrail GlobalPass and am currently in Austria. I would like to book the Budapest-Bucharest night journey but on the Hungarian site, despite the addition of the pass, the fares are much higher than expected, perhaps they contain the seat + the ticket and I can't find a way to separate them. On the Romanian site, it is impossible to put a form of discount/pass in the entry data. Finally, on the OBB site, the ticket is indicated as not available. Do I have to wait until I'm at the station to take these tickets? I also want to book the Bucharest-Sofia but on neither site is it possible to select these departure and arrival points. How should I do ? Finally, on the Sofia Istanbul, I guess it is only possible to pick it up at the station. Is it possible to still get a seat by booking at the last minute ? Thank you in advance,
Can I reserve seats together for travelers who have both eurail and interrail mobile passes? Scenario:I am having issues when entering the pass cover number for the interrail traveler on traveler details (I am using order number which does not work).How do I obtain the pass cover number for the interrail mobile pass? I have seen several posts with this same issue but no good answer !Thanks.
Dear EU rail support,Could you please change my residency on my interrail pass from Great Britain to Belgium today?I was assured when buying the pass as I am a Belgian resident I can use my card in the UK where I am travelling for the next two months. Hello everyone,So, I’m having great trouble reserving a sleeper cabin on the GWR Night Riviera Sleeper. From the GWR website the reservation with an interrail ticket can’t be made. I called them up and they said that by phone they won’t book them anymore either (apparently this has been like this since a few months - they had trouble with mismatching passes).The main SBB station in Berne can’t book reservations anymore for most train companies in the UK either and the interrail website, when working, tells me that it can’t be booked through them either.On the phone GWR advised me to book directly from a station in the UK, however I fear that by the time I’m there there likely won’t be a cabin anymore.I believe it might be possible to have a friend in the UK book the reservation for me, but surely there must be some way that it can be done from abroad? Would it be possible to buy a regular ticket and have the ticket fee reimbursed?I’m sure someone has done similar and I hope there is a
Hi! I need to make a seat reservation for Milano Centrale - Firenze S.M.N on 21/04/22 for 2 adults. Is there a way to book just seats on TreinItalia? I can’t get the Interrail one to work. Also when I look the journey up on TI it only gives me the whole ticket price. I can’t see an option to choose Seat OnlyThe app says you only need a seat reservation for the first leg of the journey and then change at Pisa Centrale. are there any other companies for Italian trains to book seat only reservations? Any help would be great!
I've been travelling quite a lot over the past few months, getting good value out of my 3-month continuous pass :)Finally I've now also caught up with the posts in the Interrail community, as some of you might have noticed. Additionally, I've been taking notes about things in the app that are not quite right or misleading and that's what this post is about. Some of the notes are already older, from a previous trip with a mobile flexi pass; I could not re-check all of them (I don't have a valid Interrail at this time) and they may have been fixed in the mean time.So here goes, in no particular order...The app said an internet connection is needed to activate a day on a flexi pass ("Add to pass" for the first journey of the day), although the phone had been online only half a day earlier. The mobile pass FAQ does not mention any other requirement than being online at least once every 3 days. If for certain actions an internet connection is needed, then please add that to the FAQ. Are there others who have trouble booking seat reservations for your Interrail trip during the summer holidays? I will travel in mid-July. I have never had any problems booking seat reservations with Interrail in the past, which I have tried several times. The Website and the App just stand and search without any result. I have problems both in the Railplanner App and on the website www.interrail.eu I am trying to book seat reservations between Bologna and Munich /day time. My itenary is Copenhagen- Basel-Zurich-Chur-Tirano-Montorosso-Bologna-Munchen-Salzburg-Copenhagen. However, it only says in the App that it is Bologna-Munich that requires a seat reservation. But is it not also a good idea to book a seat reservation on the Copenhagen-Basel and Salzburg-Copenhagen routes? I am eager to receive some good advice.
Hello all, I am trying to book reservations online which I really need to do soon but the interface always says“Your Pass cover number doesn't look right”I already tried out all numbers I could find on my paper pass and in the online reservation. Issuer is DB (CIV 1080), as it says on the pass. Could the issue maybe be that I did not purchase the pass myself but the travel department of my employer did it?

Hello together,we got a few general questions regarding the reservation-booking. We used the reservation booking tool from interrail but it shows us following message for bookings in denmark:“No results were found for this connection. Please try again or find an alternative booking method.”. If I click on the alternative booking method, there’s either a callcenter provided or it says I have to book it at the trainstation. Is any trainstation meant or the trainstation in denmark where we want to take the train from? Is the callcenter also working for every country or only for switzerland, because there’s written that its especially for switzerland. Is it also working if we just book/buy the reservations short time before the departure or do we have the risk that there’s no space left?
