Get ready to travel
To ask all about our Passes, reservations & more
Hey guys, I have once travelled with interrail and had great experiences. This summer, me and my brother want to bikepack through Italy. For this purpose, we will travel from Cologne to Genova by train and homewards from Naples to Cologne by train. We were planning to buy interrail tickets to cover the train rides and are aware that we will need to make some reservations for trains. My question is: do you know if it is possible to carry a bicycle when using an interrail pass? (of course under the assumption that you can carry a bike on the train in it’s regular scheme) Hope to receive an answer soon, thanks! Tjeu and Bear
Hi there!I'm planning to buy a 1 month global mobile interrail pass, however, I'm also planning to buy a new smart phone after the purchase of the ticket. Can I use my pass on my new phone before I active it on my former phone? I didn't do it but it's my plan. Thank you in advance.
Yeah, what I said in the title really…These are among the most popular night train routes on the continent, and not only is July peak season on a normal year, but 2022 will also be the first proper chance many people have had to travel abroad since the pandemic began. Accordingly there will be a lot of travellers planning to use these trains in July, and this track work couldn’t really have come at a worse time. :-(I’m aware that quite a few of the more expert users of this forum will already have known about this, but hopefully anyone who didn’t - and was counting on these trains for their itinerary - will see this reminder and adjust their plans accordingly. One possible alternative option for those who had been planning to come from Munich is the Trenitalia sleeper from Bozen, but this is on weekends only and only works for those travelling to Rome.
I recently booked a reservation for Eurostar from Paris to London. I didn’t realize it was a 1st class reservation until I saw it on the ticket that it only valid for 1st class only. I actually did input my Eurail pass number in when booking, so I am not sure why it went through. There is no 2nd class ticket available to exchange. I am currently in Italy and not sure if the ticket office here can help since it is a different train operator. I was wondering if it is possible to pay the difference in price from 2nd to 1st class for reservation from b-europe. Anyone had the same experience? Should I call the customer service or I can just pay the difference at the Paris station?
Hi Everyone!I was planning to travel to europe later this year. I am just confuse on how well I can use the pass. I wanted to know if we can use the pass within the country? For example I went to Switzerland and I want to travel all around Switzerland. Can I use the Eurail pass on the local trains within Switzerland and that includes any other country? Or does Eurail pass only works if you travel from one country to another? Thank You in advance

A Eurail Pass can only be used by non-European citizens or non-European residents. Hi!I am travelling to Spain in late August with Interrail pass. I have looked into a few other threads where I have found the number +34 912 320 320 to call for booking seat reservations since I doesn’t seem possible to book seat reservations for trains i Spain over the internet. I live in Sweden and am arriving in Figueres Vilafant about 1-2 hours before the first train I aim to book in Spain.I have called several times trying to book seat reservations. First time they said it was too early and that I had to call back when there was 3 months left until my trip. Second time they said it was something wrong with their system but that they would mail me a link which I had to click on to approve the booking, or something like that. Unfortunately i never got the mail. Now that I tried calling for the third time they say that I can’t book seat reservations until 3 days before my trip, but that I can buy tickets now to the train if I want(however then that is not linked to my Interrail pass)
Hello everyone,My friends and I are planning an interrail trip for this summer (4th-28th July)! We found on lots of websites (e.g rail.cc) the mention of a night train from Thessaloniki to Belgrade on an interrail line, but on the official interrail website can only find the Belgrade to Thessaloniki night-train (Hellas express)!Ideally we want the reverse route of this train. Does anyone know if it exists, like other websites state, or alternatives if it no longer does?Thank you,Lexi
..and if so, how?Me and my girlfriend have Interrail passes and we are going from Florence to Venice tomorrow. Frecciarossa operated by Trenitalia. We made reservations and it clearly says that the tickets need to be printed and in "physical form", otherwise we could be fined. We have the PDF-files with the PNR and QR-code. Do we need to print the ticket and if so.. can we print it at central station in Florence? Thankful for your answers.
I am trying to add a journey to my trip in France (called Nomad train). I dont need a reservation. The app doesn't put the trains that usually travel between the 2 cities I wanna travel. There is no solution to take another train to come home.On the France app Oui sncf, we can still buy tickets between those 2 cities and I ALREADY USED interrail for this same train between the 2 cities 2 months ago.How can I do to add this journey when it doesnt exist in the app?Moderator note: correction to information above; as checked with SNCF you do need a reservation for this train.
Hello!I am planning to visit Berlin, Croatia, Italy and France next year. I assume I need a passport for this, but what about passport control? Is it like in airports where they check your stuff at the counter and at the security? I am also going by boat to Croatia, departing from Italy. Does anyone know how and if they will check my passport at the port?
Hi, Need suggestion - We have 2 days of Interrail Global Pass (without the inbound / outbound trips from Germany). How to best use the Interrail Pass for travelling to Paris starting from Germany Border like Brussels / Amsterdam? How to book seat only in Thalys Trains?Regards,Santanu
Hi! My husband and I just bought the mobile eurail pass. Can our e-tickets be printed at the train stations across Europe or can they only be printed at home? We’re staying in Airbnb’s, so we don’t have access to at home printers. Thank you in advance for your advice :)
Besides wider seat, wifi, etc. as advertised on the website, are there other benefits in reservation, luggage space in 1st class cabins, change of trip, etc. We are planning a trip between Germany, Czehia, Hungary, Austria, possibly Switzerland, I don’t see much direct night train available to warrant a 1st class purchase. Any insight to the differences is appreciated.
Hello community, just one question. Is it possible to board a train that requires a seat reservation even without a reservation? The latter secures a seat or bed, but I would be fine with standing. is it possible to even just stand on the train, or do they really not let me on if I haven't made a reservation? Thank you!
Hello, I want to book a bed on a snälltåget night train, running from Hamburg Central station to Stockholm Central on August 28th 2021 at 11.26 P. M. I have a valid Interrail Global Pass Flexi and I did not find a way to book a bed on this train. Has anyone a idea to solve this problem? Kind regards hukarobert
Booking one leg of a night train trip on travel.b-europe.com (15 June from Toulouse Matabiou to Narbonne), but it's saying that my pass number is invalid. I have a mobile Eurail global pass. It does not say how to find my pass number on a mobile pass (just a paper pass). How can I book these tickets, please? I cannot do them in person (as I am in the US). I cannot do them on the Eurail site, as it is saying the tickets are unavailable to be booked. Please help. Thanks!
