Hi all. I booked a reservation with OBB to take a train from Zagreb Glavni Kol. to Budapest Kelenfoeld, changing at Pragersko. The first train was due to depart from Zagreb at 07.05 on 18/07/23 but has now been cancelled. OBB have sent an email to say there will be a rail replacement bus as far as Savski Marof. However, to get from Savski Marof to Pragersko, it apparently involves taking three regional trains and a 50 min walk across the Croatia-Slovenia border (Harmica to Dobrov).Does anyone know of a better way to get to Pragersko from Zagreb? The suggested route seems extremely time consuming and complex, and I cannot understand why the rail replacement bus is only going as far as Savski Marof. Taking this route would make it impossible for me to get to Pragersko in time for my connection.According to Rome2Rio one can take a bus from Zagreb to Maribor and then a short train from there to Pragersko. I am thinking that this seems to be a better option, but I would appreciate any input
I have a 30-day Global Eurail Pass and I am wanting to travel from the Copenhagen airport Train-station and I am wanting to go to Malmo, Sweden on 31st of May around 1400hrs (2pm).Question... 1) who (what site) would I need to book this trip with? 2) And for the return trip to the Center of the city of Copenhagen, who (what site) would I book this with?TIA!
In July my 11 year old daughter and I intend to travel from the Netherlands to Finland and then go by way of Haparanda, Sweden to Narvik, Norway and go down slowly back home. We have got over three weeks. Unfortunately one have to make reservations for all Norway trains. So there is no freedom to stay any longer or leave more early. We'll stay a few days in Helsinki. But what next? Which place has got beautiful nature, f.e. in the lake District and is reached easily by train? And do you have to make reservations for the cheap or middle price hostels in Scandinavië long before?(Last year we went by the EU rail to Italy and Austria, almost without preparation, off course I want to help about that if needed). Thank you so much for helping us. Froukje
I know the train only started running a few days ago but need help from anyone who has done the train from Gällivare to Östersund this year (2023)Three of us a booked to travel on 20 July Gällivare to Östersund. I see this year the southbound train stops at Arvidsjaur for 25 minutes. For 2022, the menu I downloaded off their website had a menu for Hotell Laponia but that is a 15 minutes walk from the station so won't be possible to walk from the station to buy / collect. The late afternoon stop this year I see is 45 minutes at a Vilhelmina Norra (17:01-17:46) yet the only place I can see there is Bergmans Fisk & Vilt which closes at 17:00! In 2022 the southbound train stopped at Vilhelmina in the town which is 8 minutes walk from the Hotell Wilhelmina. But no chance to make use of this year?Do the places Inlandsbanan advertise take food orders and deliver to the train? It's a long 14 hour journey and I'm not sure the offer on the train will be enough for everyone. Does anyone know i
Did you know there are more options for border crossings than maps and timetables will tell you? If the timetables doesn't show them, it might be because it deems the distance to the stations on either side of the border too far. But if the alternative is a full-day detour, then consider this:(part 1 of this topic is here)Croatia to SerbiaThere is currently no passenger train connecting Croatia to Serbia, but there are two places where the track is in place: Tovarnik (Croatia) - Sid (Serbia)The track is there, freight trains are running one after the other, and the preparations are there for a passenger connection: there is a direct train between Villach (Austria) via Ljubljana (Slovenia) to Vinkovci (Croatia). Vinkovci is the last city in Croatia before the border with Serbia, however not of such an importance that it deserves a rail connection with Austria. Hence my thought that this train is destined to be continued to Belgrade (Serbia). Train IC 210 / D 210: Train D 211 / IC 211:
Hi. We are scheduled to travel from Salzburg to Lesce Bled next weekend and the timetable is not showing any direct trains as is mentioned on Man in Seat 61. It looks like we will need to part travel on the OBB bus fromBischofshofen Bahnhof (Vorplatz) D11.20 Bus SV220 toSpital-Millstatter See Bahnhof A12.40 and then pick up train connections to Villach , Jesenice and Lesce. Can anyone please tell me if the Interail pass is valid on the bus element of this route. Alternatively if any can see a direct or purely train route please let me know. Thanks John
What is the regional train route that I should take to do the same route as Glacier Express and Bernina Express?I read in the community that you don't have to use the eurail app to do the route because it is novice to do that.
Hello, I am an Austrian citizen, but currently live in Italy. I want to use the two-months Interrail pass togo from Italy to Austria and back from Austria to Italy from Italy to Germany and Belgium Now my question: Is it possible to start with the inbound journey, then do the outbound journey and still travel with the interrail pass afterwards? Thanks in advance!

Hello! I have decided to do the interrail through Germany and I have a question about a train journey. The journey starts in Bremen on a Friday at 20:44 and I arrive in Muncih at 06:03 the next day (Saturday). The train that I have reserved a seat for is an ICE train. How many days of travel should I count for this journey? Only 1 (the day of departure) or 2 days?Is it considered a night train? Thank you!
We are trying to find trains between the main cities of these countries but we are finding problems. Our plan was to do: Zagreb- Split - Sarajevo- Beograd- Sofia- Budapest - Bratislava -Viena¿What route should we take? We really would like some advice because if it is going to be a difficult route we might as well change the plan. Thank you very much for your help.
Hello all,I’m planning an inter-railing trip next year and was thinking of going from Split to Mostar. However, I have just found out that there are no international trains that do this route and don’t believe buses are included in the pass. Is it worth just paying for a bus (if it isn’t too expensive and if there definitely aren’t any trains to Mostar) or shall I rearrange the destination?Thank you!
I’m looking to book the sleeper in mid-June (16th I think), but the availability is only showing as far as the middle of May at the moment. Correction, I just re-checked and it is showing dates forwards from June 21st with a gap for a couple of weeks back to the middle of May.Does anyone know if there are track works impacting this train? I can still make the connection by changing train in Boden and catching the day train to Narvik, but that involves a later arrival in Narvik which isn’t optimal as I’m heading onwards from there in a campervan. Given that the day train is running I guess it’s not trackwork, but the train just shows as not available on sj.se bahn.de shows several gaps in running order but indicates is should run on 16th JuneDays of operation: runs daily, not 18., 21. May, 23. until 29. Jun 2023, 5., 6. Jul, 8. until 13. Jul 2023, 15., 22., 29. Jul, 5. until 10. Aug 2023
HII’m planning to travel from Aigle ( near Montreux) to Milan. The Eurail App says its 3 changes, none of which are fast/ intercity. The Swiss SBB app says there is an intercity from Montreux to Milan or one from Aigle to Brig, then Brig to Milan. Why does the Eurail timetable not show these trains?thanksJon
I have seat reservations on a train for July 3. I booked through Eurail and the reservations show up there. I have my pass also activated in the app as I have already traveled on it. I understand reservations are separate from the pass and don’t show in the app. My issue is, we have a direct train from Prague to Vienna on July 3 at 0845 however that route does not show in the timetable at all. I attempted to add it as a journey in my app but it is no longer available and doesn’t show on the website as being an available route. I did search other sites and still see it but not on Eurail. It’s a Railjet line, not sure if they just aren’t in the timetable anymore. Should I be worried?
