Hi all! This spring/summer I will finally travel by Interrail for the first time! Very enthousiastic about it, however while trying to check the actual timetable, the Interrail app only shows the trip from Copenhagen to Oslo containing two transfers (incl. Karlstad). That trip would take over 10hrs. In the previous topics and on other sites, I understood that it should be possible to travel from Copenhagen to Oslo with a single transfer in Goteburg, that would save almost 2hrs!Does anyone know more about this? Thanks in advance!
I often use the ÖBB map of sleeper services - which covers their own trains and some Euronight services, but notably misses SNCF and Trenitalia.I was searching online for a more comprehensive map, and found this - an interactive map of all the sleepers in Europe, including details on frequency, timing, operator. It’s a great piece of work.https://nachtzugkarte.de/en/I’m sure it will be a useful resource. Apologies if already posted somewhere.

Hi, i am currently with my almost-4-years daughter in Albania. I am looking for a route back to Zürich, Switzerland (we have 3 train days left on our passes, i booked for her a childs pass, so i could reservate her a seat) and we prefer fast-speed-trains or night trains. An alternative would also be to take a ferry. It would be great (isnt a must) to pass Berlin although its not really on the way looking forward to your replies!! Kind regards, Jackie
Hello Travellovers Due to restrictions I couldn’t do my Albania Trip in May, which caused me to explore my homecountry Switzerland instead. I thought I have seen almost all, but was nicely surpriced, that there are still many places left to discover. Join my journey to the Neuchatel Jura:We decided to make Le Locle our basis for daytrips.Canton of Neuchatel has a nice guest card which will use you for free public transport (busses and trains), and offer some coupons for a free shipride, free museum entries, free chairlift ride, etc.Lac des Brenets — the ship brings you from Les Brenets to Saut du Doubs where you can take a little walk to see a nice waterfall. Unfortunately, the good viewing place is on the french side which we couldn’t enter due to travel restrictions. The ship is included in the mentioned guest card, and Lac des Brenets is more like a beautiful gorge than a lake.Creaux du Van — one of the best known nature attractions in Romandy. Reachable by 2 hours hiking from Noira
Hi.You saved money for a long time to do an Interrail/Eurail trip. Now you want to make the most of the pass. Some of the beautiful cities in Europe often have cities or towns that are just as worth seeing in their immediate vicinity.Few examples: (will add cities step by step)Berlin and Potsdam If you leave Berlin in the south west you will explore Potsdam a small city with it´s own history and touristic sights. For example Cecilienhof Palace (Here took the Potsdam Conference place), Glienicker Brücke (Bridge of Spies) this bridge was used for several exchange of catched spies and pilots between USA and Soviet Union back in the cold war era. Ontop you can explore the dutch quarter of Potsdam or ofcourse one of the most famous places Sanssoci Palace and Park. For families could be the “Moviepark Babelsberg” a destination. Many movies and series were produced here and ofcourse in the area arround. (for example Metropolis back in 1927, the Jason Bourne movies or Eddie the Eagle)How to ge
I’m planning a trip to Italy from October 16-23, 2021. There will be 6 of us traveling. We are staying right outside of Florence. We want to do day trips on the trains to Venice, Milan, Piza, Rome, Naples and the Amalfi coast. Not to mention to and from the airports. We were thinking that the 1 country / 8days in 1 month pass will work for us.Thoughts?Any and all ideas will help with the decision. Thanks in advance.
Planning to go for a month, leaving the UK around the 10th of August, with the following plans- -Amsterdam, Netherlands-Prague, Czech Republic-Budapest, Hungary-Bled, Slovenia-Verona, Italy Currently away from the UK atm in Greece, n this has cost a ton in Covid tests, been a load of hassle with paperwork and tens days isolation upon return to the UK so just interesting if anyone knows the feasibility of this trip for August! Cheers in Advance xModerator note: swear words have been deleted.

Hi All! I want to take night trains throughout my entire trip to maximize my time in Europe. Is this possible? Looking to land and depart from Brussels, to Dusseldorf, to Berlin, to Leipzig, to Prague, to Vienna, to Salzburg, to Munich, to Zurich, ending in Frankfurt. Is this even possible? I think some of these places are only a few hours way from each other.
Hi! This year in august i am going to interrail for the first time. My plan was Athens - Thessaloniki - Skopje - Belgrade - Budapest - Prague - Frankfurt - Rotterdam. But i just found out that there are no trains between Thessaloniki - Skopje - Belgrade and i think there is also no direct train from Belgrade to Budapest in august. I was planning on travelling for 21 days but since there are no direct trains this planning might be to much for 21 days. Is there anyone that knows a more realistic plan? Is it better to skip Greece? Thanks for your help!
Hi, I’m planning to go on a short 1-2 weeks Nordic trip, starting in Berlin, going through Copenhaguen, Albo, Gotheborg and Stokholm. How do you find travelling these times with all the restrictions? Is it hard to find a hostel on the way, without booking in advance? I had been travelling with Interrail in late Summer 2019, boarding trains back then has been easy. How is it now?
