Marche Line non included in Pass
HiTrenitalia has two new train “lines”the train from Bologna at 17:00 to S. Benedetto del Tronto on Fridays and the train from S. benedetto del Tronto on Sundays starting at 15:15 accept only Ticket with their special tariff, so Interrail/Eurail are not valid. on Fridays the Regionale Veloce 18131 “MARCHE LINE” starting in Piacenza (15:15) via Bologna (17:00) and arriving via Ancona to S. Benedetto del Tronto at 20:42.on Sundays the Regionale Veloce 18128 “MARCHE LINE” starting in S. Benedetto del Tronto (18:27) via Ancona and Bologna (21:52) to Piacenza (23:25). This MARCHE LINE trains accepts only Tickets that have this train on the Ticket. All other regional tickets like normal fare tickets or abo, are not valid. They do not explain if this is also the case for Interrail/Eurail but it doesn’t look like it will. I will ask directly Trenitalia for information, but their customer “care” is known for nonsense answers. In this case it only is the case for 2 trains on weekends. All other

How to get from Belgrade to Romania/Hungary?
Hi!I am planning to get a bus from Split (Croatia) to Podgorica (Montenegro) and then train from Podgorica to Belgrade (Serbia). As far as I know, it is the only international route by train to Serbia at the moment.Does anyone have experience how to cross the border to Romania/Hungary from Belgrade? I didn’t find any straigth bus.. I only need to cross the border(for example to Timisoara/Szeged) because in Romania and Hungary the train networks are better and it is easy to continue traveling with train to next destination.Any experiences?
Trip to Norway
Hi!We are two Spanish students that will be doing their interrail in Norway from the 6th to the 14th of July. We were wondering if we will see other interrailers over there at that time, we will go to Oslo, Aandalsnes, Bergen, and Vøringsfossen, among others 😁. We are open to meeting and traveling with new people hehe! If you are going to Norway also in some of the dates that we have we can see if we coincide at any point in our trips.
Trip from Estonia -> Latvia -> Lithuania -> Poland
Hi all! This summer I'm planning to travel from Estonia (Tallinn) to Latvia (Riga) to Lithuania (Vilnius) and eventually to Poland (Bialystok/Warszawa). I am entering Tallinn from Stockholm with a boat. Since Eurail doens't support the railway sites for the Baltic states I went to the sites of these countries by myself. My understandings are that it is possible to go from Tallinn to Riga (via Valga), but when I am looking to see if its possible to go from Riga to Vilnius it seems to be trouble. This is mainly because the railway site of Lithuania doesn't seem to be working for me.It was my plan to go from Riga to Daugavpils, to switch trains en travel further to Vilnius. From Vilnius I wanted to go to Kaunas, to go to Bialystok and eventually travel to Warszawa. Here on the forum I am reading that travel from Estonia to Latvia isn't possible, however the railway sites of these countries (Elron and Pasazieru Vilciens) say that it is still possible. Via the route I mentioned above. I am w

Travel from sofia to london
Hi to all, I’m planning to go London from sofia via train but i didnt even travel once with neither interrail nor any other train. When i look into i saw that the route from sofia to london is a bit complicated one. So i need help from other experienced travelers. I only know that i need to go paris for london but i’m stranger to these things but wanna try. So my questions are on average how much it would cost to me, how many days it would take, is it reasonable to take train rather than plane, Which route i should take ? and what should beginners need to know about interrail and etc.

Hello everyone,I am writing to you as I am facing a huge wall. How did you manage to get trains ? Did you just manually entered the details and hopped on the train ?Every kind of answers would be appreciated 👍🏼Thanksss 🤗
The best way to get to Italy from Germany
Hello everyone,I will start my Interrail Journey to Italy from Aachen on September 17. In Italy I will meet up with some friends in Pescara. From their, it will basically be Pescara → Rome → Naples → Catania → Palermo and then I will stay some time in Sicily and go back to Germany either by Night Trains or I will fly back to Germany. I need to be in Pescara at September 24 or earlier. Now I am quite unsure about how to get to Pescara in the best way. Thats why I need your advice about the itinerary to Pescara.I definitely want to save up some money for Rome and the South of Italy (even though but budget really is not very tight) and I do not want to stay very long in the north. But at least a few days and two locations should be between Aachen and Pescara, since I do not want any 12 hour train rides. I prefer to travel more slowly. I think a night in Switzerland is something I cannot get around, but I am afraid, that it will be really expensive.I like hiking a lot and the Alps in Genera
July 2022 - Gothenburg to Oslo
Folks Just checking if there is an alternate way to get from Gothenburg to Oslo in July as I believe the line is closed from repairs over an extended period. I think there is an alternate bus service but not sure if it is covered by my pass. Any information greatly appreciated Norm
Strike in Italy (08 Oct)
Hi all,I am going to Italy for the first time in my life and I want to take train from Rome to Milan on the morning of 8 Oct. I have checked on thetrainline.com and I saw from the government website (http://scioperi.mit.gov.it/mit2/public/scioperi)There is a locale strike on 7 Oct 21.01 to 8 Oct 21.00 but it seems that I can still make reservation under Eurail.Does anyone know how would it affect the train schedule from Rome to Milan? Or it is meaning that train will not arrive Milan on 8 Oct? Thanks so much in advance as I really have not much idea about Italy’s transport system.
Question on Travel Days w/ 15 day- 2 month Global Pass
First off, I am purchasing a 15-day/2-month Global Pass2 questions…1) If I leave one city (Amsterdam) at 0800hr, arrive at another city (Cologne) at 1045hr. I then stay there to explore for a couple of hours. Then leave Cologne at 1248hr headed to my third city (Berlin) arriving at 1715hr. QUESTION... Because I am taking 2 separate trains on the same day (before midnight), will this be considered one trip (15-1=14) or two days (15-2=13)? 2) I am leaving at 2237 from one city (Berlin) arriving in another city (Lyon) at 0735. During this trip there are 3 changes of trains that AFTER midnight. QUESTION... Will each of the changes AFTER midnight plus the initial day count as all separate day (15-1-1-1-1=11) or Will it only be two separate days (15-1-1=12) or because it is one TRIP (Berlin to Lyon) it will only count as one day (15-1=13)?Thank you very in advance!!
Travelling to Prague
Hi there!I am new to the interrail community and I am not sure how to work with it, so maybe you can help? :)This summer I would love to explore Czech by bike. I am only able to go around 10 days. What is the most efficient way?The one country pass will be (I think) the best pass for my situation. That means that I can hop on the train in Keulen and go to Berlin, and from Berlin I can go to Prague (day 1). Then I can go back the same way (day 10). I saw that it’s only available to get a one country pass for 3 days, but I can't travel inside Prague since Prague is the only station in Czech. So one day will get lost? I don’t really know. Also, you can only use it for one month, but does that mean 4 weeks or for example only the month July. Because I can only go from the end of July - beginning of August.Besides that I would want to take my bike, but I cannot find any information about this.Does someone know how this works and how I can organize my trip?Thank you so much.Kind regards,Jess
Is it possible to see any of the balkans somewhat conveniently?
Hey All!This is a late July timeframe, super flexible.I’m looking at a Sofia (Bulgaria) start (or Thessalinki Greece). Was curious about North Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia, (pretty sure EUrail doesn't operate in Albania). I see that its hard-impossible to get into Serbia or Bosnia by train at the moment, and seeing similar situations for Kosovo, North Macedonia (unsure about Montenegro), so was just curious if any expert here knows for sure.Surfing Seat61 too long now (excellent site though) and I feel like I’m slowly losing my mind haha. Was thinking that since Bosnia and Serbia seem hard/impossible by train, maybe there is way to go Sofia to Skopje(North Macedonia) to Kosovo to Montenegro and then up through Croatia to Slovenia? If I can’t see these Balkan countries by train very easily, I think I’ll just have to put them on the future to-do list and at least try to see the north of the Balkan region by going across the top of Croatia towards Italy, which I b
The north in the winter
Hello! Me and my boyfriend were thinking about interrailing into north of europe in the winter. I live in the north of France, so I was thinking about doing Lille-Hamburg; Hamburg-Copenhagen; Copenhagen-Oslo; Oslo- Stockholm; Stockholm- Kiruna. Kiruna-Rovaniemi ( I know I would have to take some buses but I’m not sure on which one). Rovaniemi- Helsinki; Helsinki-Tallin (with the ferry); Tallin- Riga (taking some buses); Riga- Vilnius (buses); Vilnius- Warsaw (I’m not sure how); Warsaw- Berlin and then going home. Is that okay to do in the winter? Like december-january. Is it a trip that we can do? Thank you.
Trips from London to other European cities - duration and tips
Hey all,I’m planning on doing a lot of train traveling in March 2023. I really don’t care if I’m on the Eurail for a long time, since I am just trying to be in these countries for a little bit and say that I’ve been to all of these countries. I have never been to Europe. It will be my first time next year, traveling solo! This is what I really want to do, but I realize that I may not be able to. I already have a permanent place near Wembley Stadium in the London, UK area. My yellow highlights are the places I really want to visit, take some cool pictures, walk around, get some food, soak up the scenery, and call it. I’ll be in Europe for 9ish days. Mostly exploring London. European Countries I want to go to for a 1-day trips (mostly being on the Eurail)London to Paris & Paris to London London to Madrid & Madrid to London London to Lisbon & Lisbon to London London to Dublin & Dublin to LondonDo any of you know where I can find info about how long these 1-day trips would
Chur to Tirano tips
As far as I can tell from other conversations in here, it is not necessary to book seat reservations between Chur and Tirano. Is that true and what about in the high season? We are traveling on 18 July and will be traveling all the way (3-4 hrs) to get to Tirano to spend the night. Any tips? It seems from both ÖBB and SBB websites that it is not possible to book at seat reservation. But is it not necessary?
