Good afternoon, I would like to know if there is any slower way that I can go from paris nord to Le Creux-Des-biches (Switzerland) without making any payment? What are the alternative ways instead of buying reservation seat on TGV and Eurostar. Thank you.
Hi, I’m organising a trip in the North of Europe on July. I need help to organise the route Berlin-Copenaghen. I’ll leave Berlin on 25th July in the evening so I’ll arrive in Copenhagen in the morning. I have the interrail pass for 7 trains and I need to use just one day train and I want to do maximum one change. Do you have any suggestion? Also where can I look for trains

Hi everyone!I am planning an interrail trip from roughly 20 July to 5 September 2024. I’m open to any destinations that sound interesting, but particularly keen to see Dubrovnik, Zagreb, Zurich and Bern. During the interrail period, I have fixed engagement that mean I’ll need to be in Paris for 02-04 August and Barcelona in the second half of August. I’m having some trouble designing the best route that could cover my fixed engagements while also taking me through the destinations I’m particularly keen to see. Any advice on route planning for this trip would be much appreciated! Thanks, David
Hello! My family and I will be in Vienna for 3 nights at the end of June (as part of a two week trip in Europe) and wondered if a day trip to Bratislava might be a good idea and is it best to get the bus or train? (It won’t be using one of our Interail travel days.) Many thanks in advance.
Hello! I am aware that with a 2nd class interrail pass you can travel from the Rome airport to Rome Tirbutina station, but you can’t travel to Rome Termini. However, my question was if you can travel between Rome Tirbutina and Rome Termini with a 2nd class interrail pass? So can I travel from the airport to Tirbutina and then from Tirbutina to Termini all with my interrail pass? thanks for your help!!!
We are making plans to travel through the UK and Scotland for about 12-14 days. Are there any particular scenic routes that are recommended? We'll start in London and part from travelling on beautiful routes we wish to visit Liverpool, Edinburgh and perhaps Glasgow.Any help will be appreciated!
Hellow fellow rail travellersLike every year, we can expect a timetable change around 10 December 2023. All the railway companies are working hard to get the new timetable for 2024. Which means we will slowly get some insights and announcements in new offers, and changes in offers the next weeks. If you’re planning for a big trip around Europe in ‘24, please note that information after 10 december 2023 is scarce. This will improve from medio october. Patience is key ;)In this topic we try to bundle the relevant news and information about changes in offers on routes that are traditionally interesting for the typical Interrailer or Eurailers (night trains, long distance new international connections, opening of new lines, touristically intersting routes...).So if you have any interesting updates, please share! It can only help travellers planning for ‘24 to know better what expect. For your information:It’s not very interesting to state that your daily commuter train is planned 5 min earli
Hi, I’m planning an extensive trip with a buddy of mine. The goal is ultimately to reach Istanbul within 5 weeks starting from Amsterdam. The idea is to start our trip in Spain, either Madrid, Barcelona or Bilbao. However the reservation costs for the Thalys/TGV are so expensive we’ve started to look at alternatives for crossing Belgium/France. What is looking to be like the most bang for our buck is taking the Intercity from Amsterdam to Brussels, Thalys from Brussels to Paris and the TGV to Barcelona, for around 54 euros. But still 54 euros is a decent amount of money. I was wondering if there’s anyone who has taken the same route but with different trains and cheaper reservations costs. Thanks!

Where is the best and safest place to camp in this different city’s with easy access to the city’s. Danemark (Copenhagen)Germany (Hamburg)Bulgaria (brussel)France (Paris,Bordeaux)Spain (Madrid,Gibraltar) Please help us. I have done it one time before, but my girlfriend is sceptical about it. Last time I didn’t plan anything and just stayd at parks with my hammock, but I had some scary incident that we want to avoid this time. Bonjour à tous, Hello Last September, I took my first, solo, Interrail Pass trip. It was an amazing experience. Didn't have a planWhich Interrail Pass?I had a 5 day Global Pass and my trip lasted for 12 days in total. Marseille, France Kasia in Paris Strassbourg, France AccommodationI didn't have any accommodation booked in advance. Pioneer (how they call them in the former Eastern Bloc) or Children´s Railway are a unique adventure for families especially in countries of the former “Eastern Bloc”. Here operate kids a railway for everyone for leisure. (There is always an adult that overwatch the operations and the drivers are mostly adults aswell). These pioneer railways were used to engage childs for a Worklife in the Transportation sector. Many of these railways still survived. The most famous one is the Railway in Budapest with a 11kilometers long line. Other cities with such railways are Berlin, Dresden, Leipzig, Chemnitz, Gera, Cottbus, Görlitz, Plauen(electrified) all Germany, Kosice (Slovakia). There are even more especially in Russia. I prefer Berlin (as iam living here), Budapest and Dresden. Here a picture from the Childrens Railway in BudapestMany Childrens railway have steamengines and use them often on weekends and special events here a picture from Dresden (Germany)And here a steamtrain from the Childrens

Hi, I was wondering how I get to certain landmarks, activities etc that are not reachable by train. Let’s say that if I stay at a certain hostel somewhere, and an activity is 1 hour away, how would I get there? I assume bus is the common answer, do I just buy a ticket in the bus or are there certain bus companies that are covered by interrail? Thank you, David
Hello!I am searching for a route between Berlin and Split. Right now, I have 2 options: by Flixbus from Zagreb to Split, or with a nightboat from Ancona to Split. Both are not fully covered by the global pass. What is the best way to travel to Split? (I think by boat, but the journey to the boat isn't pleasant in my opinion)Thanks!
As far as I can tell from other conversations in here, it is not necessary to book seat reservations between Chur and Tirano. Is that true and what about in the high season? We are traveling on 18 July and will be traveling all the way (3-4 hrs) to get to Tirano to spend the night. Any tips? It seems from both ÖBB and SBB websites that it is not possible to book at seat reservation. But is it not necessary?
