We spent a month in Italy on a two month trip, we just came home. We love Italy! History, culture, food, etc.We were in Sicily for two weeks, for the first time in our lives. The enchantment of Florence does not disappear, always a wonderful city. Rome, of course. Along the way we looked for Caravaggio paintings, Rome has the most. Grazzie mille, Itälia!
Hi!I have been on Interrail for two months with my wife, next week we will be flying from Berlin back home to Finland. We've not had any problems at the borders. With the vaccination certificate everything has been easy also in restaurants, museums and so on.Some countries require online notification (Italy, Malta). As previous writers noted, the situation can change quickly and many times in a short period of time.. I've read the pages of the countries' authorities and we have not met any surprises.
During the trip, I've noticed that the cheapest and surest way to get seats is to go to the some station in the countrya nd buy them from there. It’s old-fashioned, of course, but it’s worth it if it’s possible.
Hi, we railed from Budapest Deli 15:35 to Zagreb 21:05. IC 204. Check it out.
Unfortunately, I can't answer your question. I will just say that the day before Christmas Eve is the busiest and perhaps most expensive on the Finnish railways.
I'm happy to read your message. My wife and I have been on a trip for a month, the second month ahead "escaping" Finnish weather in November. So far so good too.Let your journey continue smoothly!
THE application shows only one option per day between Verona - Ravenna. I searched the Trenitalia website for options and added a suitable one manually for My Trip and My Pass. It wasn't tricky at all.
After "researching" so far, a certificate of two vaccinations is sufficient at least in most countries in the EU. You need to check the situation in the country you plan to travel to. We have been to Germany, Poland, Austria, Hungary and now Croatia. Only Croatian police asked to show the certificate at the border.
Right now we're travelling from Budapest to Zagreb. QR codes scanned by a hungarian and a croatian conductor without any problems.
Hi! We took IC 654, dep. at 12.53.
This is fantastic opportunity to get a chance to travel in Europe, meet people and open your eyes. When I was young in '80s I and my girlfriend (nowadays my wife) made several tours by Interrail. We met a young couple in Hungary and we met them again on the weekend. We have keep connection trough these years.Hey, try your luck!
Yesterday from Debrecen to Budapest our passes (travelling with my wife) were scanned by two conductors from MAV Start. The first one did't have any problem. The next one could't read my pass as far I understood. Furtunately he did't force me to pay again. Strange world of scanning.
It's ok to give young people a chance to travel and maybe meet "strangers" too. I'm interrailing now with my wife, both 60+. In January there was decent offer for passes, we used it.
On monday we travelled from Krakow to Vienna and I was a little bit worried. Two conductors of CD scanned our QRs without any problems. I was relieved.
Don't be shy and let us know about your challenge.
