What sort of travel insurance would anyone recommend for 1 month travel round Europe. I’ll be going to 7/8 different countries. Is there any that’s best for interrailing (going to multiple different countries), I’d like it to cover Covid + anything to do with unexpected cancellations. I’m aware that it wouldn’t cover any cancellation of the interrail ticket on my part.
Hello!Wondering if anyone has experience traveling with a service dog and/or wheelchair throughout Italy? Our family (my Mother, my Husband, 2 teenagers and myself) plan to travel throughout Italy this June. Florence, Venice, Rome, Sorrento, Bari then maybe over to Greece. My mother will be using an electric wheelchair, as she tires easily. She also requires a service dog for her medical needs.Trying to make her travel dream come true! Any suggestions would be much appreciated!Thank you!
Good day all. We are a family of 5 traveling just one day from Carcassone to Barcelona. Can anyone pls tell me the best way to purchase this? This is our first trip to Europe and we only need the one way train ticket. Do we still need a rail pass for this or can we just buy the one way train tickets? Thanks!
Hello there! I am currently traveling in the UK with a Eurail Global Pass. I’m noticing that there a number of charges to my debit card under “TFL (Travel for London) Travel Charge.” At first, I thought these might be reservations, but reservations are not required at any of the trains I have taken thus far and the costs vary widely (£6-£30). Why is TFL charging me when I’m using my Eurail Global Pass that shouldn’t charge me? The only thing I can think of is when certain stations will card me in (as not all UK stations are up-to-date on mobile pass technology) that is making it charge me for an “uncompleted journey.”
I am planning to do a 9 day trip around the above countries by train in early March. I am a little confused as to how covid requirements work as I move between countries as someone who is from the UK.My hopeful itinerary is:Brussels, Belgium (1 night)Amsterdam, Netherlands (2 nights)Germany - Berlin, Hamburg and Munich (total 3 nights)Budapest (2 nights)Then possibly fly from Budapest to Paris and stay there for a week before returning to the UKAmbitious I know! But I wanted to jam as many places in as possible as I don’t have a lot of free time.My understanding of each country’s covid entry requirements are:Belgium - PLF form, Covid certificate and negative PCR test (72 hours before) requiredNetherlands - Covid certificate and negative PCR test (48 hours before) required, I am exempt from quarantine as I have received my covid boosterGermany - Pre-departure registration and covid certificate required, I am exempt from quarantine as I am fully vaccinated so no tests are requiredHungary
Hi everyone! I'm gonna apply for an Hungarian Schengen visa. I got an one month global pass. I'm told to present everything during the application. Flights (in and out) and accommodations are okay, they r fixed. However, I don't know how to present train reservations because I'm going to use the free trains mostly that doesn't require seat reservations. What do you do that? Is there anyone who had to apply for a visa like this?
We have used Eurail passes many times over the years but this May will be the first time back to Europe since Covid began. We normally pick a city and use it as a travel base for a while. This time we are using Bologna for a month and will be using the pass to visit towns and cities within a few minutes to a couple of hrs away. The question is - Has anyone had any problem boarding trains? I know that proof of vaccination is required for most public travel but does that mean we will need to show our CDC (USA) card when travelling or do we need to reserve all train trips in advance?
Hello everyone! Is there a way to find out the structure of the train seats, or at the least the structure of the train carriage seats? Or is there a site for this? In some cases (DB, ČD) there’s no problem to choose from the train map and just click on the available seats and you know exactly which seats you’ll be sitting on. But in some other cases (DSB, SJ) I can just see the carriage number and the seat numbers that are there. But I can’t see if it’s in a coupe or if we’re sitting in a row of 3 seats or if we are sitting by the table... Is there some way to find this out? Thank you for your answers!

Really very disappointed after travelled from venice to rome . As not only on this trip but other trips as well faced discrimination and really in future will not recommend anybody to travel in eurailIt seems conductors in train treat people based on color and origin as we are citizens from USA
Hi, as previous topics, I need a pass cover number for my mobile pass in order to reserve seats using a third party website (TGV, not interail). I’ve tried emailing the support team but no response. Urgent help required, thanks very much. @Nanja ?
