Hi All!I'll be visiting the UK and would like to purchase tickets for a one day trip to Paris and back. However, when looking up information, I'm a bit confused as to what to pay? Would like to do 1st class seats there, but I am reading that I also have to purchase a reservation. Can someone please guide me to a good website on purchasing tickets and what excited is needed? Also, do I need a global pass for this one day trip?
I bought a Eurail Global Mobile pass recently, I’m having a lot of issues with Eurail's Eurostar booking process. On May 16th, I tried to booked London-Lille Eurostar seat reservations for two people for June 3rd on https://www.eurail.com/en/book-reservations#/. I paid for the ticket and the charges are fully processed (not pending any more) on my credit card. However, I do not see the reservation tickets on my account https://www.eurail.com/en/my-account/reservation-booking-details/my-itinerary, nor have I received any confirmation email. It’s not clear to me whether the ticket was actually booked, and this is putting me in a limbo because if it’s not booked, I would need to book other options (e.g. flights) as soon as possible. I contacted Eurail customer support about a related issue (#163688), and they mentioned “I can see that a pre-reservation was made for London-Lille on 03/06.” However, I still do not see the London-Lille seat reservations on https://www.eurail.com/en/my-account
I’m planning to go to France this summer with the One Country Pass and I’ve some question related to it. Is it possible to change the travel date/time after I’ve booked my seat via Interrail (before the travel date/time of course) ? If the answer is “Yes” to the previous question: Do I have to pay anything extra?
Hello I am travelling to Europe for month and a half in april. I wanted to buy the Global pass of 2 months. The thing is that in my trip I go to Greece and I saw that there is a 6 day Greek Island pass too that give a free ticket from italy to greece and another from greece to italy and discounts on the greek islands. If I buy the global pass, it also includes the benefits of the greek islands one?
Yeah reservations are sometimes a big moneykiller on your trips but if you use the Railplannerapp and click the avoid reservations option you will find often a cheap Route (mostly with longer traveltime and maybe one or two more changes. I will share some examples :)Amsterdam - Brussels Reservation free Intercity instead of expensive Thalysreservations. Time loss of 1 hour and arround 30€ saved.Brussels - Germany Take the Reservation free (4€ Reservation possible) ICE to Cologne/Frankfurt instead of Thalysreservation no big time loss but saved arround 30€Brussels/Ostende/Antwerp - Paris Take one of the few TGV´s or even more cheaper take a IC/TER to Lille and from Lille a TGV or IC to ParisParis - Germany Take a TGV to Strassbourg and then with a Regionaltrain to Offenburg/Karlsruhe and from here plenty of connectionsFrance - Switzerland Entry via BaselTake a TGV domestic till Strassbourg/Muhlhouse for (Basel/Zürich) and take there a Regionaltrain to Basel and from there any train to y
Hi.I’m a U.K. citizen looking to buy one of your continuous interrail passes that are currently discounted to celebrate the 50th anniversary. I read somewhere that these passes are only available to EU residents. Is this true? Am I eligible as a British citizen or do I need to purchase a Eurail pass? Thanks, Liam
Hi allMe and my partner have second class 1 month mobile passes. We understand there is a reservation fee on many trains. We also understand there can be a supplement on night trains if we want a couchette, or even a compartment for just the 2 of us. So...trying to book TORINO PORTA NUOVA (Italy) 09:55 PM INI 799 INTERCITYNOTTE to Napoli for 28th March , I come up with a $16AUD booking fee for a seat (ok sure, but I want a bed so I'll pay extra)...or $310.40 for 'couchetta c4 comfort per 1 passegero - compartimento intero'. Those are my only 2 options Even if that option means 1x 4 couchette compartment all to myself AND another 1x 4 couchette compartment all for my partner thena) WHY? Why is that the only choice we get? Seems like we get to have 2 seats between us for $16 or a total of 8 individual couchettes for $310???b) Why so expensive when I can book the same train on trenitalia WITHOUT A PASS but with beds for roughly $190?I have read about some rules which mean people have t
Hello! I have an eurail pass for my family of 6 and now in the process of making the seat reservations required. I am having trouble booking the train from Torino to Roma Tiburtina (FR 9583) on August 15 2022. There is a “Prices temporarily unavailable” message and I can not make my reservation. What does it mean? Is it sold out? Is it too early? What can I do in this particular case?.The same happens in alternative routes for this day, and in most of our 5 days of plan trips during 1 month. Thanks in advance for your tips!!
Hello, I need to book 2 adult tickets for seat reservations from Barcelona Santa - Madrid Atocha Cercanias for the 28th April. It says on the interrail app that it’s book in the station only. Is there any possibility that it can be booked online with any other site?
Hi! I want to travel to Barcelona from the Netherlands in a few weeks, and for the last train I need a paper ticket. I can buy it through the interrail website, but I wonder how much time it will take to arrive? Does anyone have experience with ordering paper tickets through interrail?
HelloFirst of all I would like to know if there is a phone server. 1. How can we know that the reservation has been validated? Is it when the seat reservation fee has been paid, or just when the trip has been entered in the application and in the pass?2. When do I have to pay to reserve the seats?3. And once paid, is it modifiable and/or cancellable?4. I have seen that on your site for seat reservations, for some routes it is impossible to reserve (e.g. for Spain, or when there is an error message "No fare has been found for this connection. Please perform a new search or find another reservation method"). What should I do in this case?5. Also, sometimes it says "Seat availability unknown", what does this mean?6. How can I get two passengers to sit next to each other on the train, knowing that both passes are registered on the app on two different phones? Thank you in advance.
Dear allStrikes just have been confirmed for 29 and 30 November, and the 1st of December in Belgium. The 29th will be the most heavy strike, with all unions having confirmed to participate. Traffic will be heavily interrupted from monday 28th of November 22:00 h. The 30th and the 1st only one union is going on strike. This one has quite a strong foothold in Wallonia (Southern, French speaking part of Belgium). Northern part should be relatively okay service-wise 30 nov and 1 dec.An alternative service will be in place every of those day. You can check one or two days before the strike which trains will be available via: https://www.belgiantrain.be/en/travel-info/train-network-travel-info/strike (domestic traffic) and https://www.b-europe.com/EN (for international traffic). For the moment they expect that most international traffic will run (Thalys, Eurostar, TGV, IC Amsterdam-Brussel, no news on the ICE or Nightjet yet), but you might have troubles finding connections to other parts of B
I am trying to book seat reservations via Eurail within Romania to travel between Bucharest to Brasov to Sighisoara on the 30th May 22. It seems like all of the inter-regional or night trains require a seat reservation, but Eurail’s website shows the following error:Prices unavailableNo price results were found for this connection. It is possible that all pass holder seats are sold out. Please try searching for another connection or check 'More information' and try other ways to book this seat reservation. If no pass holder seats are available anymore you need to buy a separate full fare ticket to board. Are all the inter-regional or night trains booked out a month in advance? it doesn’t make sense. Can anyone help?
Trying to book trains in Italy in the middle of July (Venezia - La Spezia 16/7 and Genoa - Zürich 21/7) but I just get the following message. It was the same when I tried to book a few days ago. Are we too late?“Prices temporarily unavailableCheck back in a few hours to see prices and book this seat reservation.”
Hello everyone, has anyone ever had the problem that your phone broke before your journey where you had already added your mobile pass and now you can’t add it on the new phone? (“This pass is already activated on another device”).Is there a possibility to add it on the new phone and deactivate it on the old one?
If I am traveling with a 22 day (consecutive) E pass that has already been activated--I want to board a train from Amsterdam to Prague that does not require a reservation: What do I have to do? Can I just board the train? Do I need to enter trip data before boarding?Same question if seat reservation is required. What do I need to have on my phone at boarding?Pass is 1st Class if that matters. Thanks for the help, really excited to travel again, but this is the first trip with a pass, and it’s also multiple people. Guessing when we arrive it will make more sense, but sitting in Phoenix, Arizona, it’s pretty confusing.
Hi Everyone!I was planning to travel to europe later this year. I am just confuse on how well I can use the pass. I wanted to know if we can use the pass within the country? For example I went to Switzerland and I want to travel all around Switzerland. Can I use the Eurail pass on the local trains within Switzerland and that includes any other country? Or does Eurail pass only works if you travel from one country to another? Thank You in advance
Hello,I will travel with my boyfriend starting Friday 3rd of September. We bought each a interrail pass and activated it on our mobile phones. We tried booking our first trip from Paris to Ancona. This travels needs seat reservations and we wanted to be able to book side-by-side seats but couldn’t find our way through the Rail Planner application to do this. Any help would be very much appreciated. Also I am wondering how the app and our web interrail account refer to one another because I can seem to find the trip I added in the app on my web account. In a word I would need help understanding how both app and website work and how we can travel easily together. Thank you,Loane
Hi! My husband and I just bought the mobile eurail pass. Can our e-tickets be printed at the train stations across Europe or can they only be printed at home? We’re staying in Airbnb’s, so we don’t have access to at home printers. Thank you in advance for your advice :)
Hello Guys,me and 3 friends want to visit France in May. Therefore we have bought an interrail ticket. We want to travel from Dresden main station (Germany) to Nantes main station (France) on the 12th of May with a departure at 8:12. The seat reservation from Paris to Nantes is no problem but the reservation from Frankfurt main station / Karlsruhe main station is not possible. We tried booking it in the rail planner app and via the website but it doesn't work. We have read in this forum thread https://community.eurail.com/train-connections-reservations-47/seat-reservation-at-sncf-1145 that we potentially need a pass cover number. The question is: Do we need this number to book this route or are there any other problems. And additionally: If we need this number to book this route can you explain how it is done? Thanks in advance for your help.Sunny greetings from GermanyWeWi
Hello. We have a global pass and we are trying to travel from Budapest to Belgrade in order to get to Athens. However, we cant find in the app a train from budapest to belgrade. What can be happening? Does the global pass cover this area? Thanks for your help and pardon me for my english (not native tongue, we are from Spain)
Hi there,Our family is ready to purchase a Global Pass 10 days/2 Months. Per the conditions on the site I see that we have an 11 month deadline to use the pass. Does this mean we have to activate the pass within 11 months, or complete our 10 days of travel within 11 months?Due to possible (but hopefully unlikely) new Covid issues I want to know when would be our last day to cancel the pass and get a full refund? The site says a full refund is possible if one cancels “no later than six months from the last possible activation date of the Pass”.For example if today is January 31(purchase day), Expiration day 11 months from now would be December 31 and 6 months prior to this is June 30. So would June 30 be our latest cancellation day?Our first day of using the rail system will be in late May, so I think we are OK here, but just want to make sure as there seems to be some ambiguity of the terms.Thank you! John
