Hi. I’m deciding my route, where to visit, stay, everything. I’m planing to buy “10 days within 2 months” interrail and I want to stay approximately 5 days in every location. I hope that 60€ for a day will be enough for everything(accommodation, museums, renting a bike, food, go to bars, etc). I hope that if I make reservations 2 days before i go (accommodation and for train), it will be fine. That’s what I want to know. I’m reading your comments but also there’s a lot of information. I guess I need to do early reservation for Barcelona to Paris. And I changed Poznan with Prague . Feel free to share your thoughts, thanks a lot.

I’m working on trying to decide what global pass to purchase but I can’t find applicable routes to create a potential itinerary. I’m starting out from Porto Portugal trying to get to Madrid Spain but all searches say “no trains available” although it appears to be a major route. What am I missing? Is it because I’m crossing country borders? My ultimate goal is to go from Portugal, to Madrid,Barcelona, Nice, Venice to Budapest. Any advice would be appreciated. Rob
Hello everyone. I spontaneously bought a 3 month pass for me and my husband. We will be starting in Birmingham, then getting the Euro tunnel to Paris probably, at the beginning of September. The rough plan is France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Spain and Portugal. We have 75 days remaining to be in the Schengen Area so Turkey seems a good place to be at some point after Greece. Or Croatia, Montenegro of Romania. I like a mixture of planning ahead with some spontaneity and like cities, food, sightseeing and some down time. I have a mobile pass (which after reading some of the comments on various community pages I am beginning to regret) but it is what it is. For those that are more familiar with rail travel in Europe, what would be a suggested 3 month trip? What would you not miss and what would you avoid?
Hi,We are looking to begin interrailing on the 4th July in Bucharest making our way through the Balkans to arrive at Slovenia.Ideally (open to alterations) we would take this route:Bucharest - Sofia Sofia - ThessalonikiThessaloniki - Belgrade (we are under the assumption that there is a direct night train for this route but not certain)The information does not seem to be readily available regarding these routes and are curious to find out whether there are any trains available completing these routes this summer?Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Hi everyone.I have a global pass and planning on going to Istanbul (among others). It’s the beginning of the trip and I’d like to have that covered and make reservations so I’m not stuck in a foreign country I’ve never been in. But I’ve recently learned that you can only buy tickets at the station !! Which means that I would land in a country not knowing if I can get out of it (by the Sofia night train). Have you been in that situation ? Are there any way to contact the station and book the tickets ?Was the train full ? How did you manage that situation ?And if you took that train, how much was the fee to book a reservation ?

Hello! I'm fairly new here, so looking for some advice on a potential travel plan. Now I'm from India, and I plan to travel to Turkey, go to Seville, then London, and then head back to India. I was wondering if there was a direct train of sorts possible for the Turkey - Seville connection, or is there a cheaper was than the Eurail, or what the best way of doing the Europe/UK part of the trip is, since if nothing works out, I think flying if the only thing I can think of.
Hi, I bought a 2 month pass with my girlfriend and am currently planning a trip for the end of july/start of august. We have plans to travel from Amsterdam deep into eastern europe, currently looking at Croatia/Serbia/Bosnia Herzegovina and perhaps even North-macedonia and Bulgaria.All the way until Zagreb, the railway planner app seems to be able to find trains just fine.However, when i try to find trains from Zagreb to Beograd or from Beograd to Skopje, the app shows no results whatsoever. How come, and where should I find these trains then?

Hey all,I’m planning on doing a lot of train traveling in March 2023. I really don’t care if I’m on the Eurail for a long time, since I am just trying to be in these countries for a little bit and say that I’ve been to all of these countries. I have never been to Europe. It will be my first time next year, traveling solo!This is what I really want to do, but I realize that I may not be able to. I already have a permanent place near Wembley Stadium in the London, UK area. Hello Community,with the recent discount I spontaneously bought an Interrail Global Pass for 1 Month. I have never interrailed before. But since I bought this pass, I spend a lot of time researching.I will start my Journey from Aachen, close to the German Border with the Netherlands/Belgium.Since my only window for travelling is September/October Scandinavia is not really an option for me. I feel like the days are too short, especially close to the polar circle.The destination I would like to travel the most is Spain/Portugal since I have not been there before. (I have been plenty of times in Italy and also a few times in the balkan).With my research I already know, that these countries are not ideal for Interrail. I am not on a very tight budget and due to the discount I already saved some money. Hello,I’ll be traveling with interrail this summer with my friends, and our last journey will be taking the Snälltåget night train home to Sweden from Berlin or Hamburg. Since we aren’t planning to spend our last days in these cities, my question is: what are your recommendations for places where Berlin or Hamburg is reachable by day trains?Some background: we will be coming from northern Italy or Austria. We will have seen Berlin and Prague already. We are open to big cities as well as natural wonders. This will all be in July. The night train leaves Berlin at 20:58 and Hamburg at 23:59 (which should still be part of the travel day even if it’s delayed... right?). We’ll of course want a few hours between arriving in northern Germany and departing with the night train. Some of our ideas right now are Munich, Salzburg, Strasbourg. Hi, I’m Guillermo, and I am planning a solo trip this August from Barcelona-Istanbu, passing thourgh the main capitals of Europe.I have some doubts about the end of the trip, more concretely, about the posible paths to go from Budapest to Istanbul. I’ve done some research and seems like:The Budapest-Belgrade-Sofia-Istanbul route is pretty fucked up with no transparent schedules, etc… in the Serbia part. The better option is to go to Budapest-Bucharest(or Craiova)-Sofia-Istanbul, which seems also pretty bad with lots of changes and no direct trains?Any one that knows how this part is really working now a days? Which is the best route in terms of less complications, and maybe less time? Thanks in advance!
Hello. I read an article somewhere that it was possible to do the Glacier Express route on regional trains, for free. But doing a route search on the Interrail App, between Zermatt and St. Moritz, I get different routes, that do through Zurich, Bern… Which is not the original Glacier route. Any advice?Thanks!
Can anybody suggest a logical route here, please? They are all so close l am not sure it makes too much difference but if l save an hour or two, l would be grateful Dusseldorf, Wuppertal, Essen, Bochum, Cologne, Gelsenkirchen, Dortmund, Leverkusen and Monchengladbach. I would like to travel to Andalucia, southern Spain, by rail as an alternative to flying. Would I be able to do this using an Interrail pass? Is it a viable option? And would the card cover all connections without additional ticket costs?
