Hello everyone,I am writing to you as I am facing a huge wall. I am seeking for genuine infos regarding interrail in Turkey but I can't get any real answer.Except for the three main lines (most of them from Istanbul), I still can't figure out how I can make profit on my global pass in Turkey.Did someone already experience interrail there ? How did you manage to get trains ? Did you just manually entered the details and hopped on the train ?Every kind of answers would be appreciated 👍🏼Thanksss 🤗
Hi, I am traveling true Europe with my girlfriend. And we travel from Norway to Spain. We do not plan to stay in hotels and hostels. we are going to camp outside of the city’s. Where is the best and safest place to camp in this different city’s with easy access to the city’s. Danemark (Copenhagen)Germany (Hamburg)Bulgaria (brussel)France (Paris,Bordeaux)Spain (Madrid,Gibraltar) Please help us. I have done it one time before, but my girlfriend is sceptical about it. Last time I didn’t plan anything and just stayd at parks with my hammock, but I had some scary incident that we want to avoid this time. If you have some tips for what to bring it would be great😎🤠 Kind regards The Woodman
We’ve all seen the news about the war in Ukraine and many of us have read articles about the amazing railway network all over the country. It’s inspired me to go there, see the beautiful sights and meet the people of Ukraine once the war is over. I’m sure lots of other people feel the same - it’s a beautiful country and one I didn’t know much about beforehand.Would it be an expression of peace, friendship, solidarity and warm hopes for the future to add the Ukrainian railway network to the global Interrail/Eurail pass at this moment in time? I certainly think it would be hopeful, a good advert for Ukraine and would be good for Interrailers too. Is there a movement to do this, and who should we contact if not?
Hi, I’m planning to book Budapest - Rijeka overnight for this summer. On the ‘night trains’ part of the interrail website this is available, as the Istria express. However, using the app I cannot find any journeys with less than 3 changes. I also can’t find another website to book through, and even if I could, I wouldn’t know how to add the pass as a discount. Please can someone help? This is to book a night train.
I have a layover in Bologna for 4 hours and 11 minutes from the hours of 0109-0520. QUESTIONS.... 1) Can you sleep in the train station waiting area? 2) And if so, is it safe? 3) Also, any tips you could provide for staying for thise few hours IF you can not stay in the waiting area?Thank you in advance!
Bonjour à tous, Hello Last September, I took my first, solo, Interrail Pass trip. It was an amazing experience. I met so many people, spoke in a few languages and got to see places I had only dreamed of.Trip stats4500 km travelled (train and plane) 2 planes - outbound and inbound 15 trains Lots of buses and metros in a few different countries Rode an electric scooter many times Walked 200km on foot Carried a 10kg backpack Drank many, many litres of coffee Slept an average of 3 hours per day - went to bed late and woke up early, because I wanted to discover and explore as much as possible. Didn't have a planWhich Interrail Pass?I had a 5 day Global Pass and my trip lasted for 12 days in total. Marseille, France Kasia in Paris Strassbourg, France AccommodationI didn't have any accommodation booked in advance. Each day at 2-3 hours before sunset I would search for a bed in a hostel (on Hostelworld or Booking.com), then
I am planning to travel form Tromso to Kiruna by taking bus and train on 14 Jan 2023. I have downloaded the Troms Billett app but can’t buy bus ticket on that date. 1. How many day in advance to buy bus ticket from Tromso to Narvik in the app?Do you have any suggestion or alternate route to travel form Tromso to Kiruna?Thank you so much
(train times are added at the bottom for those who don't want to read) Serbia is not impossible, it is awkward but if you are determined to go it's fairly cheap and easy once you are in. My experienceSo the trains are a mess here. Nothing is traveling internationally except the BAR train in Montenegro. Most likely you are coming from Sofia, Budapest or Sarajevo. You will want to get a bus into Novi sad, Belgrade or Nis from there the trains rún semi frequently but delays are common and you will crawl through the countryside. The Belgrade to Nis train travels at 30km per hour. The Novi sad line is not much better. No ticket vendor will help you, just don't bother asking anyone behind a desk. The locals are more friendly though. Buy a coffee and ask your questions there. Luckily the information is pretty easy to find and is reliable. If you leave yourself plenty of time you should be fine. Now i knew things were a mess before I left Budapest for Belgrade and since this info was not onlin
Hello! We are wondering how to go from Östersund(SE) to Trondheim (NO). In the interrail app you don't see quick options to travel between these cities. Nevertheless, we have realized that taking trains from Östersund to Storlien (Sweden) and Storlien (Norway) to Trondheim separately, the trip does not take more than 4 hours. Has anyone done this route? Do Storlien (Sweden) and Storlien (Norway) are the same train Station?Does anyone recommend how to cross between the two countries?Thank you very much!
Hi! Am planning on travelling around Europe for the first time for a month, and we are leaving on Monday! and at the end we are travelling around Europe going from Belgrade → Skopje → Sofia → Bucharest → Cluj Napoca → Budapest. I am confused as ithe Interrail website says that there is no train from Belgrade to Skopje (it doesn’t even recognise Niš as a place) neither Skopje to Sofia, or not even Belgrade to Sofia (as we thought travelling to Skopje was the problem). I was just wondering if there is actually a way to get to these countries because I have looked online and it says there are trains and routes (such as the Hellas train) but then when I look it up to make reservations it doesn’t exist on the website. Is it a case where we wing it and book it there or can i not actually travel there? Thank you! This is very urgent so any help would be appreciated!!
Hello all! Please excuse my total lack of knowledge here. I’m a first time inter-railer trying to sort out a map for my first little adventure. I thought it would be an amazing way to spend the summer just after I graduate. I have a route in mind, but I’m really not sure if it works at all. I’ve been trying to look at what trains fall under the interrail, but sometimes it can get a bit confusing, especially around Spain and France, but this is the proposed route I’ve come up with for my first experience. So we’d be starting in Dublin, as that’s where I’m from, and flying in to Madrid to start this journey.Madrid → BarcelonaBarcelona → Milan (I'm not sure if you can get a direct train; I’d imagine you need to stop off at Marseille or Nice.)Milan → VeniceVenice → FlorenceFlorence → BolognaBologna → Milan (using this as a bridge to get to Munich)Milan → MunichMunich → PraguePrague → BerlinBerlin → Amsterdam(I assume again we’d need to get a transfer from Cologne or something close to it.)

Hi, I bought a 2 month pass with my girlfriend and am currently planning a trip for the end of july/start of august. We have plans to travel from Amsterdam deep into eastern europe, currently looking at Croatia/Serbia/Bosnia Herzegovina and perhaps even North-macedonia and Bulgaria. All the way until Zagreb, the railway planner app seems to be able to find trains just fine. However, when i try to find trains from Zagreb to Beograd or from Beograd to Skopje, the app shows no results whatsoever. How come, and where should I find these trains then?
I am working on my itinerary for my honeymoon and the last place we will be visiting in Italy before we go elsewhere is Venice. Our plans are to go to Salzburg, Austria after we leave Venice and schedule wise, we were thinking we would be leave Venice on a Saturday morning and take a train to Salzburg. My question is, do they have morning trains that go from Venice to Salzburg on Saturdays? This would be at the beginning of May this next year.
Hello everyone!Me and my girlfriend are planning to go from Madrid→ Porto → Lisabon → Sevilla. As we’re currently planning it shows that there is a real scarcity to of possible connections. Hi everyone,I plan to take some trips in the summer of 2023 from Thessaloniki to Skopje or Sofia. Due to recent train accident in Greece and the suspension of train services afterwards (in addition to the suspension of train services during the pandemic), is any hope that international train services will be stored during the summer?
Did you know that you get 50% discount on almost all lake constance public boat lines with your interrail/eurail pass? Many people don’t know, since it is published nowhere, except in the tariff:https://www.schiffe-am-bodensee.ch/images/befoerderungsbedingungen/Bodensee_Personentarif_2021_website.pdfIt can also be helpful to carry this pdf with you, in case the ticket seller don’t knows interrail/eurail!
Hello everyone!I’m planning my trip this August and I noticed that I could benefit from some ferry discounts to travel between Greece and Italy (30-100% off) on board Superfast and ANEK ferries. As I read in the site: “As a Pass holder you can get from 30% off (surcharges for port taxes and fuel apply) up to 100% off (if you have a Global Pass).” I have a 15days straight pass (2nd class) but when I tried to book the tickets I could only get a 30% discount… Note: I’m planning to travel from Ancona (Italy) to Patra (Greece) at 18th August.
