Uncertainty about travelling days for global pass

Dear experienced travellers, I am planning a trip to Italy this summer with my family by train, but have some uncertainties about the travelling days/planning. Hopefully anyone in this community can help me with some advice. Our plan is to travel from our homecity 's-Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands to Rome for  a week or so, than to a small city underneath Napels (to visit Napels, the Vesuvius and Pompei) for a few days and then return home. My most important question, are the outward and inward journey to our homecountry included in the 4 days of the 'global pass 4 days'?A bit more explanation with the schedule for our first trip from home to Rome (:-)) that would look something like this:20.09u Departure 's-Hertogenbosch 23.44u Arrival Koblenz 00.49 Departure Koblenz 06.20 Arrival Basel 06.28 Departure Basel 10.40u Arrival Milano 10.58u Departure Milano 14.10 Arrival Roma If I understand correctly, this will mean two travelling days. Our first outbound journey from 's-Hertogenbosch

Frecciarossa to Messina

hello everyone  my wife and I are flying into Lamezia on 21 September and will then take the Frecciarossa to Messina leaving Lamezia Centrale at 1730, train #9583. My question is this: does the train go to Messina or do we have get off the train in Villa San Giovanni and make our own way to the ferry port? We do have a rail pass. When I was looking for trains to add to our trip, I entered Messina Centrale and this train came up as going to Messina. Does it really go to Messina?

Travel days and Night trains

ITABuonasera,avrei bisogno di avere una risposta che non riesco a capire..Se io decido di prendere un global pass e viaggiare di notte come faccio per risparmiare “giorni di viaggio”?I miei spostamenti sono questi:treno diretto notturno verona - monaco di baviera, partenza 15/07 treno diretto notturno monaco - berlino, partenza 16/07 treno diretto diurno berlino - amburgo, partenza 18/07 treno con 1 cambio notturno amburgo - copenaghen (cambio a neumenster), partenza 18/07 treno diurno andata e ritorno copenaghen - malmo, in giornata del 20/07 treno con 2 cambi notturno copenaghen - francoforte sul meno, partenza del 20/07 treno con 1 cambio diurno francoforte - verona, partenza del 22/07Bene, avendo questi spostamenti mi bastano 5 giorni di viaggio oppure 7 giorni di viaggio??Vi ringrazio in anticipo  ENGGood evening,I need an answer that I can't understand..If I decide to take a global pass and travel by night, how can I save "travel days"?My movements are these:direct night train Ve

Extend the validity of my pass for the next year

Hi, I bought my pass (2 months) the last year but I have until the 10 july 2023 to activate it. Since, my plans are changed, this year I am in formation and I would like to know if :I can be refunded ? or, if I can extand the validity of my pass one year more (even paying a fee) or, if I can sell it in internet ?   Thank you !

I’ve been looking down how to go from Zagreb to Belgrade by train as we planned the route already but I can´t find the way. It seems like there are not more trains anymore. Does anybody know anything?

Mid June I’m on my last trip within my 3months Global Pass: Scotland-Northern Ireland-Ireland-England. After staying in Edinburgh I plan to use the connection (train, bus and ferry) to Belfast (via Glasgow, Ayr, Cairnryan), run by Scotrail. Is it correct that no reservations are necessary and I just have to show my Global Pass online ticket?

Es hieß, dass man das Startdatum bis Mitternacht am Tag vor der Reise ändern kann. Wo geht das? Ich möchte einen Tag früher als geplant starten.

Ferry's from Greece to Accona and missed connections

HI Everyone, Firstly thanks for answering previous questions, this forum is epic!so we are traveling from Patras or Igoumenitsa on the 5th of June - we originally planned to get the train out of Greece to Sofia or Biograd, but alas we didn't check the latest info. So we have a few questions about this Journey If we book the Ferry from Patras, but we happen to be closer to Igoumenitsa at the time of departure, can we take the Ferry from their instead? picking up the Ferry we would have been on from Patras?  if the Ferry's is late and we miss trains that we have a seat reservation for from Ancona, what happens, is there any way of getting a refund on our reservations or switching them to a later date  If a ferry delay means we can not get to London (our home) before our pass runs out, does our pass get extended to allow for this, or would we have to pay full fair home?  Finally, if we take the Ferry from Patras, currently the Interrail app is showing no train and bus connections from Ath

Greek islands pass

I´m trying to book a ferry from Paros to Piraeus with my 6 day greek islands pass and it appears a sign that says “the document has already been used at departure”. Does anybody know why can that be happening?

What should I do?

I am a bit overwhelmedSmall overview: I need 9 travel days right?Where the seats are not available, can I also reserve a seat on the spot and/or travel with the Interrail "for free" without a seat.If you calculate 9-5 travel days you come to 45 = Bucuresti North until back in Bucuresti North. Would it be worth it because the trains are so cheap there in the east?Instead of the 10 days within 2 months for 316 euros. 4 days within 1 month for 194 euros. Price difference 122 euros.

Wähle den Pass aus, für den du eine Rückerstattung beantragen möchtest. Angabe eines Grundes für die beantragte Rückerstattung Klicke auf die Schaltfläche „Rückerstatten“.Zu Punkt 2 geht man da in die Interrail App oder auf die Website?

Is refund process followed properly here?

Hi,Anyone please help me to understand if I have followed the exchange process properly.I am from India. I entered Germany on visa. I wanted to visit Paris but by mistake I purchased one country pass instead of global pass and activated it with travel date 18th May. When i realised it, I deactivated the pass. I purchased a global pass and submitted an application to eurail team for exchange just now at 3:00 AM BB on 17th may. so if im right 18th May is not started. Im eligible for exchange refund and all process followed properly  thanks for your help in advance. regards,rajnish k Srivastava

TGV: 1st class seat cheaper than 2nd class, with a 2nd class Eurail pass?

Hello,I found that the seat reservation on TGV from Nice to Marseille is cheaper for a 1st class reservation than for a 2nd class reservation for Eurail 2nd class pass holders. Is this correct?Screenshot 1 - price  Screenshot 2 - Conditions On the screenshot 2, it says “Pass Eurail Upgrade (AE) - 1st class”.. and goes onto say, “...valid if used in conjunction with a 2nd class Eurail pass….”Am I reading this correct? Is this a valid ticket? It confuses me because the first class ticket is cheaper than the 2nd class ticket.

italy train travel from Tirano to Milan

Good dayI need some assistance please. We booked the Bernina Express train and we will arrive on the 20th of June at 17:59  in Tirano. We need to travel by train to Milan the same day . I have looked everywhere and cannot find any transport. Please help. I would greatly appreciate it.thank you.

Trouble making seat reservations from Paris to Bayeux

Hello fellow Eurail travelers!We have our Eurail Passes, made reservations via the Eurail app, but cannot seem to make the seat reservations online. We’ve gone through the Help suggestions, and so far, are still unable to make the seat reservations. We would appreciate any assistance. Superfast night ferries strange departing time for travel day

I’m planning to take the boat from igoumenitsa to Bari on the night of the 19th of July. My issue is that the site says they depart at 23:59 which is 1 minute before midnight. Does the 19th of July still count as the travel day for the boat or can you just take the 20th as a travel day and combine it with the trains I’m taking later that day? Would love to hear some advice!

Hi All - Train travel in Italy from 13-23 August There appear to be no trains, however I am wondering if its just due to the new timetable that will be released in June?This is the only week (10 days) where no trains apart from Regional are available

Need help to identify residence in eurail app

i am from India. currently in Germany on type D . I came here last month. i need to visit france. what should be my residence in eurail while applying for pass? Germany or India?. I chose india as residence. Now when i am booking train from Hamburg germany to paris, its showing pass is not valid in some countries. What shoud i do. I activated it but not travelled

Why can't i find fast train from Lausanne to Milan Centrale?

I’m searching for trains from Lausanne to Milano centrale but only few appears to me. It seems very strange because when i sélect fast train, no one comes out. Last year a lot of options were availabal and now I can’t really chose when to do my trip.  I have a global pas and the date of the trip is the 30.06 so i don’t know if the problem depend on the date. Can some one help me ? Do some one know the answer ?

Train not showing up. How to get reservation?

Hey guys,I’m looking forward to using Interrail for the first time. When looking for my return trip home, I noticed that one particular train is not shown on the Rail Planner app and via interrail.eu while it appears on bahn.de and trenitalia.com.On June 11, I want to travel from Florence to Frankfurt (M). The second part of the journey (EC 52 from Milano Centrale to Frankfurt (M) Hbf) is shown as it should be and I can book a reservation. But to get from Florence to Milano, Interrail doesn’t show FR 9512 at 8:55 AM, but only FR 9304 at 9:10 to Milano Rogoredo which will not allow me to catch EC 52 at 10:20 at Milano Centrale.Is there any way to “find” FR 9512 here or, alternatively, how can I book a reservation for this train (trenitalia.com seems to offer no “reservation only” option)?Thanks in advance :)

Marseille to Paris reservations - from which sites?

Hello,Eurail.com website says Marseille to Paris TGV train reservations can be done on https://www.b-europe.com/, however, that site does not seem to allow Eurail passes to be used for Marseille to Paris train reservations. Strangely, it allows ticket purchases for that sector. Below is a screenshot when I try to enter “Marseille” -- it doesn’t even recognise.URL: https://www.b-europe.com/EN/Booking/Pass#TravelWish  Are there any websites that I can book this reservation?

Change Seats Side by Side

My order number is R2023384688 and PNR: S7BJGN reserved tow(2) person from Roma to Milano dated on 13/08/2023. Our seats are reserved as 7A and 7C automatically. I request to change the seats side by side as like 7A & 7B wiht forward direction.
