I am from Canada.  I will be traveling with three other people … all of us over 60.  We are traveling in Portugal and Spain.  I have booked all but one leg of the train segments.  I am having a great deal of trouble booking seat reservations.  I find this system not user friendly nor is the help when I get an email response.  Does anyone know how to book reservations.  Is there a telephone number I can call to get help with bookings?

Me and my wife was planing to travel this year with the train instand of flying (good for our planet) i just buy the 7 day pass and try to book my travel but it look like all train fro holand or belgie to Biarritz, France (i live close to the belgie border)are fully booked,is there a way that i can travel with the train? (i try now for 4 days and dont find normal way)It my first time that i try it and dont what to cancel the pass before i know i try everything.Thanks Tsafi

Hello, I’m trying to plan for a trip to Barcelona From France and was hoping for some advice on how to access the trains. I have a Eurail pass and would like to take the cheapest option, would I be able to buy the tickets to enter Spain in France or at the station with the applied discount? Also, does the Eurail pass work inside the borders of Spain as well, can I take a train to Portugal from within with my pass?

Hi Some months ago I bought a train reservation for Bologna to Milano at 11:05 on 14/8 (intercity 604) via the interrail website. However, today I tried to find the train on railplanner and I cannot find it, but I need to add the train to my digital pass… What should I do? Is there another way to find it? Thanks a lot!!

When I use planner and I need to change trains it says that transfer is by public transport. I am a little confused. Does it mean that it is arranged or do I need to use for example a bus to do that?

Hi,  Trying to find out how to actually book a sleeper train from Basel to Berlin. Is it as simple as using the reservations app on this site (i don’t have access yet as have not bought ticket). Amy 

Hello all!In 12 days time I’m starting my first interrail trip! I just wanted to ask you all for some help/tips on what to/not to pack.Our route is as follows:28th July - 31st Madrid 31st - 2nd August Barcelona 2nd - 4th Naples 4th - 6th Florence 6th - 8th Bologna 8th - 10th Munich 10th - 14th Prague 14th - 17th Berlin 17th - 18th Amsterdam 18th - 19th Rotterdam 19th - 20th Brussels 20th - 22nd Paris and finally 22nd - 27th Bordeaux So overall there’s a lot of hot countries, so shorts and light clothing has already been acquired, but I just wanted to ask for help on items like packing squares, first aid kits, towels etc. What are other essentials other than the obvious like clothes, toiletries, power banks  etc, that some of you more experience travellers would recommned? Thank you all so much in advance for the help!

First, this is my first time using your services. Second, I think I activated my 22 days mobile Global pass on July 16, 2023 on your application but I'm not sure if I really activated the mobile pass and if what I do it's ok? I will be traveling from July 22 to August 12, 2023. Will I be able to use it on July 22 and on August 12 too? Third, I would like to know from what date exactly I could start using my 22 consecutive days with my 22 days mobile pass with the information I gave you? Fourth, if I did an activation mistake (e.g. too soon), especially since I haven't used anything yet, how could I fix it? Thanks!

I want to book the TGV 9704 train from Barcelona to Paris on October 3, 2023 but it doesn't seem possible to book. It doesn't let me do it at another time or another day before or after. Do you know what could be happening? I was able to book the other trains for my trip from Paris to other places in the next few days but that train from Barcelona to Paris with SNCF doesn´t let me make the reservation. 

Hi travellers! I am trying to book seats from Zagreb to Beograd and then to Beograd to Sofia in August but it is imposible. I have read that trains to and from Serbia are not running.Is it still the case?In the Interrail web they appear in the possible routes so I bought a pass. Do you have info?What is the alternative if not the train?Tank you!!!

The prices on the Eurail webpage for reservations range from $182USD to $450USD for some of our trips for 4 of us. I bought the Eurail to save money and this is astronomical and not was was advertised (10-25 euro!) Can someone tell me what the issue is?

Hi, I have just turned 70 and want to travel in Europe by rail. In recent years I have either driven from the North East of England or used planes. I am considering a month europass for me and my wife, I want to travel from N.E. England and use Eurostar and onward rail travel to Southern Italy. I like the idea of the hop on hop off flexibility. I need some advice on this plan and any possible pitfalls. I want to use fast long distance trains for some of the journeys. Any advice and guidance would be great. Thanks Brian

We live in Germany and want to go on an interrail trip in Norway. Therefore we take the train to Kiel, sleep there and take the ferry to Oslo. In Norway we want to use 5 days of our 7 days Ticket. Afterwards we want to Take the ferry from Oslo to Kiel and then use our interrail Ticket to Go Back Home.  Is it possible to use our homecountry-days that way? Because we do Not Transit a Border on the same day by train, but take the ferry on the next day. (We will buy the ferry Ticket seperately)

Hi, I've been trying for days to book a seat for a train from trieste to lubiana but unfortunately from interrail.eu for days now it doesn't give me any availability, even changing train day and time. It seems as if the site is no longer enabled to make reservations for trains in italy. Has anyone had the same problem? do you know how I can pranotare on another site? ItaliaRail doesn't because it only provides trains in italy and I'm supposed to get from trieste to lubiana, while obb only provides trips with more than one day.

Myself and my friend are travelling to Berlin for 2 nights and are looking for recommendations for hostels in Berlin please.We had thought about Circus Hostel but it has a minimum stay of 3 nights.

Need to get to Chamonix and all routes are taking me through Switzerland. Is this covered on my France eurail pass? If not, do I just need to buy a ticket for the portions of the trip that aren’t covered? 

hello, I am from Canada, and I am planning a trip to Germany this October. Is covid pass still required to enter Europe? Do I need to wear my mask in train? Are we allowed to bring our own snack, and eat in long distance train? Should I get the who covid pass? 

I heard I could travel to multiple destinations in a day with eurail pass. So my question is, how do I activate my ticket for that occasion? Also how would that look if I had to reserve seat for those trips?  I am planning on trip leaving from koblenz to trier, then back to koblenz within a day.So in this case, with eurail, is there a day pass ticket where I just activate it, and I am good for that day, or would I have to activate ticket going from koblenz to trier, and activate another ticket for the return trip back to koblenz?   

I live in Canada. Next year I’d like travel through Europe with my 35 pound mixed bulldog starting in London and ending up in Athens. For the leg to London I will be of course flying. For the rest of the journey I’m considering different options (including Eurail) with a focus on pet friendliness.  My dog must be physically next to me as I travel. It can be leashed but not locked away somewhere in a cage.  I will also require stops where I can get off for a few minutes for my dog to relieve itself. (no longer than 4 hours between stops I have no problem paying extra for my dog to travel on trains in seat next to me. My vacation isn’t just for me. I want my dog to have fun too not treated like a parcel being delivered.. I have no issue arranging my trip along a route where different trains can meet the above requirements Is there some sort of online resource or specific Eurail pet support line that can help me plan the specifics of

Hi, from Italy station tell me that with global pass I can't go to Paris from Italy. Is it true? I read that is possible to take an Italian train from Italy to Paris. Let me know ,thanks.

I have train travel booked in Italy on the 13/07 (Interlaken to Milan via Domodossola). However I’ve just discovered there are national rail strikes planned in Italy for that day. The Domodossola - Milan train is still bookable on the Trenitalia site - does this mean it will still run, or is it likely to be cancelled last minute? Alternatively I’m considering booking a train that goes direct from Switzerland to Milan - does anyone know if these sorts of strikes affect inbound international services? Thanks in advance!

So confused. We have planned a 5 week trip to 5 countries. We know how long we are staying at each location. Should we make all our trip reservations in the Rail Planner now before we leave?  We are pretty firm on our travel dates but if something happens will we be able to change the reservation?Thanks. 

Hi!I’ve bought a interrail pass for France for me and my two friends. In the app we’ve reservated al the trains we need and used all our travel days. But we didn’t pay for the seat reservations yet. I don’t see an option to do so in the app, and I do have QR codes for the travel days. Do I still need to make the seat reservations and pay for them, and if yes: how do I do that?Thanks in advance (:Kind regards,Hester
