As someone who will be staying in France for the next four months, I was disappointed to see that the BF sale did not extend to the the 3 month pass. Does Eurail historically drop an end of year or Christmas sale that normally includes the longer period passes?
Can I buy a pass now and make seat reservations without activating it?? (so that I don’t use up the days) To be a little more specific, my activation date would be August 27th, but it sounds like I need to make seat reservations before then. Additionally, are seat reservations refundable? Thanks!
I have done quite a bit of homework on this already, including speaking with both US travel experts and friends who live in the UK. It seems pre-pandemic, the BritRail Pass was the best option for unlimited train travel throughout England, Scotland and Wales AND the Eurail Pass did not include the UK. However, now the Eurail GLOBAL Pass appears to include the UK. It is also hundreds of dollars less expensive than the BritRail Pass for the 15 or 22 days we are considering purchasing. Our main objective for this trip is to visit as many universities as possible for our daughter to make decisions about where she plans to apply next year. We know for sure we will be visiting several schools in London and other parts of England; Edinburgh and Dundee, possibly Aberdeen and Glasgow, Scotland; and for sure Dublin, Ireland. Our return trip has a layover in Frankfurt, so I’m thinking the Eurail Global Pass is ideal for us since it includes all those places. My questions are:Is there any reason
Hi, i’m asking these question for the Interrail pass for my partner. The pass condition stated that “The Interrail Global Pass is valid for travel in your country of residence during one outbound journey and one inbound journey that occur during travel days at any point in your trip” This mean the pass will have 1 inbound & 1 outbound entitlement of the 4 days pass that i’m intending to buy? May i know if it is necessary to use the 1 inbound & 1 inbound ? As my travel itinerary would be Spain flying into London (21st) London to Germany (train 23th) Germany to Paris (train x2 27 & 28th) Paris to Spain (train 31th) So technically speaking i will be using only 1 inbound will that be alright ?
Hi all Is it possible to print out the mobile pass (i.e. to print out the QR code)? I understand that the old paper tickets are no longer an option but, for example, the British mobile passes can actually be printed out and then you just show the ticket inspector the QR code on the piece of paper. It will be for an elderly person of 85 (his last travel trip :-( ) who is not tech savvy at all and he is extremely panicked at the idea of having it all on mobile. I’d really appreciate any insight. Thanks so much!
Is there a gift ticket/voucher offered by Interrail? That could be used as a gift to a family member that they can use up whenever they would like to travel around. Or is this how all the ticket work in general, that the traveller can use them up in within 11 months?
I've been travelling quite a lot over the past few months, getting good value out of my 3-month continuous pass :)Finally I've now also caught up with the posts in the Interrail community, as some of you might have noticed. Additionally, I've been taking notes about things in the app that are not quite right or misleading and that's what this post is about. Some of the notes are already older, from a previous trip with a mobile flexi pass; I could not re-check all of them (I don't have a valid Interrail at this time) and they may have been fixed in the mean time.So here goes, in no particular order...The app said an internet connection is needed to activate a day on a flexi pass ("Add to pass" for the first journey of the day), although the phone had been online only half a day earlier. The mobile pass FAQ does not mention any other requirement than being online at least once every 3 days. If for certain actions an internet connection is needed, then please add that to the FAQ. Without
Hi there! I’ve just purchased a 10 days in 2 months global Eurail pass and am nervous to activate it using the app as I’m unsure about the validity period and when that begins. Does it begin the day I activate my pass, or the first day of travel? Thanks!
Dear Community,I’ve had so many issues with my interrail tickets over the past few days. I had urgent questions as my tickets didn’t arrive in time (or got lost), and they do not have a contact number…..why not? I lost a lot of money and wasn’t even able to travel with my pass. I sent several emails to the customer service of interrail and they do not respond to me. Also on twitter they haven’t been answering. Can someone help me with this? Did people have the same issues? Did people manage to get a refund for their passes and additional reservation costs?I am disappointed and desperate. With the same pass I have a trip planned for this Friday (already paid for the high speed trains), and I desperately need them to answer to me, otherwise my global pass will be completely unused:(Help me!
Hi everyone, I was trying to book seat reservations (for Eurail pass holders) for a train from Paris Gare de Lyon to Nice Ville on 13 May on travel.b-europe.com, it came up with two different options of the same departure time (13:54), both trains are direct trains with the exact same travel time, departure time, and arrival time. One of the train number is TGV6077 with a beverage symbol next to it and shows all the stops along the way. The other train number is TGV6177 without a beverage symbol and shows no stops along the way. So my question is are these trains both exactly the same or TGV6177 doesn't serve drinks and without stopping while TGV6077 serves drinks and stops in all the stops showing in the details? Are both these trains TGV INOUI?Thank you so much in advance. Please refer to the pictures below:
Hello guys ! My name is Vasileios, I am 24 years old from Patras, Greece, and I am planning to go on an Interrail Trip on 7 countries with my girlfriend on September 2021. I would like to hear your predictions. Do you think it will be possible, provided that from 1st July a European vaccination pass will be available (we are both vaccined)? Has anyone interrailed during these covid times? Thank you for your time and congratulation on the beautiful idea of this forum !
Hey all,I want to go From Amsterdam to Zurich with IC 60403. This train departs Amsterdam 20:28 and arrives at 8:05. Does this trip use only one travel day just like NJ403? Because it isn't a Nightjet in the travel planner. Would love to hear your answers.
I’ve been trying several times to buy my interail pass today and I cannot get to checkout. When I click on “Proceed to checkout” I’m directed to a blank page that tells me to add my details but there are no fields available. I tried to create an account before buying the pass but the same thing happens as well, there is simply no option to log in or create an account. I contacted Interail support and haven’t yet heard back. Has anyone experienced this before? Any advice on what to do?
Hi,We are planning a trip to Europe this coming December, coming from South Africa. We plant to visit Paris, France a few days, then move to Zermatt in Switzerland and then ending up in Amsterdam Netherlands. My Question:Does the Eurail Pass allow for travel on trains and trams within a city. For example if we want to get from the airport in Paris to our hotel we will be using a train. Is this included in the pass. Then if we want to use the train so go somewhere in Paris or surrounding areas is the pass valid. Then for example when we are in Switzerland can we use the train from Paris to Zermatt and use the pass for trains in Switzerland. Then when in Amsterdam can we use the pass to go from the airport to the hotel via train and also using the trains and trams in Amsterdam and also to go to the smaller towns in Netherlands.Any help will be appreciated
What is a Eurail/ Interrail Pass? The Eurail and Interrail Pass is a single train pass that lets you travel as much as you want on participating European train networks for a set amount of travel days. There are different validities you can choose from, ranging from just 4 travel days up to a maximum of 3 months. You can travel with a Eurail Global Pass / Interrail Global Pass, which is valid in 33 European countries, or pick one of the Eurail One Country Passes / Interrail One Country Passes. The majority of our Passes, including the Eurail Global Pass, are now also available as a mobile Pass. Eurail Passes can only be used by non-European citizens or non-European residents. European citizens can use an Interrail Pass instead. Do I need a Eurail or Interrail Pass? A Eurail Pass can only be used by non-European citizens or non-European residents. Hi Everyone!I was planning to travel to europe later this year. I am just confuse on how well I can use the pass. I wanted to know if we can use the pass within the country? For example I went to Switzerland and I want to travel all around Switzerland. Can I use the Eurail pass on the local trains within Switzerland and that includes any other country? Or does Eurail pass only works if you travel from one country to another? Thank You in advance
Hi, my phone recently broke while traveling. This means that my interrail pass cant be used on that device anymore. I already had contact with interrail and they unregistered my pass from my phone so i can add my pass on another device. My question is: is it possible to add my pass on my friends device so we have two passes on the same device? If this is not an option, does anyone have another suggestion?
