Hi,I am new and finding this all very complicated, honestly wishing I had never bought the pass.I have a mobile global first class pass and planning to travel next week.I have read loads of previous questions and have been searching trips, adding them to My Trip and then to My Pass to show tickets.Really appreciate some help to my questions-1) I have read that although I have a ticket, it doesn’t guarantee a seat on the train, for trips with no reservations needed, do I now have to find out the train company and see if I can make reservations?2) My pass shows a bar code for the day with several trips, does that ticket/bar code cover every trip for the day?3) Do all trains have first class carriages? Trips without reservations, do I just look for seats in first class and if none available, go to 2nd class?4) Some trips have a very short transfer to change trains, is there a way of finding out platform numbers before arriving so I don’t miss the train?I am so confused and with only havin
I am travelling tomorrow morning in Italy . It is now 23.00hrs on Wed 29 March. I cannot add tomorrow’s journey to My Pass. It just does not appear. I have checked the train timetable , cleared the cache , re-installed the app but my journey is not showing . The Pass has been working great for the last 7 days. This is the first time I cannot add a journey. Does anybody have any ideas ? Thanks . M
My eldest child will turn 12 next year and they have a child global pass (along with me having an adult global pass). We had hoped to start our travel before they turn 12 but unfortunately no longer can. However, we will have a spare day in our itinerary and could activate/start their pass before they turn 12, sacrificing that spare day and still complete our itinerary in the remaining days and duration of the global pass. Would that be possible even though we do not actually travel on the start day before they turn 12? e.g. we do not add a journey to that day in the app? And, if so, could we do this for the child alone or would an adult pass also need to be started on the same day?
My answer to this is no, despite it being advertised in the Eurail planner. After a long flight from Australia, trying to activate our mobile pass for the first time, the train attendant tells us it isnt valid...because Heathrow Express isnt part of Network Rail (the UK rail consortium that combines all the tracks). Im aware of this, and I was happy that the Heathrow Express was listed as being part of the Eurail pass. But no, the ticket lady said it wasnt part of the pass and that they had tried to explain to Eurail many times that they werent involved in the scheme but they kept having travellers come up to them (like I did) showing them the Eurail Planner rules/inclusions and expecting to be able to use it. Can anyone else confirm if it really is part of the pass or if it isnt and Eurail are just false advertising?
Similar to another post without proper answer. My Eurail app keeps saying that "It looks like you are offline. Go online to see your passes", when I try to view my pass (QR code). The internet on my phone is working fine (both WiFi and mobile data). I have restarted the app, restarted my phone, disabled the app and enabled it, but still getting the same error when trying to access my pass. I have reached out to customer support with no answer. Can I get my mobile pass turned into a paper pass to end this nightmare? Any other suggestions?
My App is completely stuffing up!!! Firstly, I am unable to view all my Saved Journey’s in My Trip. Sometimes I will save a journey, and then when I go to view it, it is not there!!Secondly, when I try to book a journey and add it to My Pass, it will add it initially, then later when I check it has completely disappeared!! I am using a Flexi Pass, and it is almost impossible to add 2 journeys to one travel day, as either one of the journey’s always keeps disappearing. This is very very frustrating as I don’t have a valid ticket for the trains I need to catch TOMORROW!!!! I need help ASAP, I will be unable to travel tomorrow if this is not fixed URGENTLY.
I sent a message almost 2 days ago to customer support with no answer. My app is showing that I have completed two travel days on April/25th and I have only one travel on that day. I need the day I paid for for my last portion of the trip.Customer support is not giving a prompt service.
My friend bought a mobile pass for me as a present, but entered the wrong country of residence by mistake. I have asked customer service to change but they say it’s not possible.. but everywhere on this forum I see that people did manage to get the country changed.. what can I do? I am planning to travel in August so still some time left. I do not have the funds to by a new card myself..
I make no secret that I am a senior who only recently found Interrail. After a lifetime of travelling for both leisure and pleasure by air/road and cruising I am now a convert to using Interrail to create land cruises.Nor do I apologise for raising this conversation subject to a community that in general is phenomenally supportive and made my first Interrail trips a pleasure.I enjoy adding contributions to the community from the perspective of a “Hybrid” user i.e. one who sees real pleasure from blending air and rail elements in my travels, not least because I live in the UK and ferries are not my thing.Rail via LNER and Eurostar is OK but that always starts me in Belgium or France and costs in time, reservations and hotels. A cheap flight to Sicily or Poland etc allows me a much more satisfying experience than UK/France/Italy out and return by a similar routing, and allows me to extend my budget.I, along with one other member, are being routinely attacked as “frequent flyers” or simila
Hello, I have the global Pass (5 dass). I Just used 2 days. But the App says no more trips left. Its wird, because they App also Shows that there are a Trip left, but i can Not add trips I am really in hurry an have to Take the next train. What can i do? I already did the "enable Error Login" Thank youJoana
We are a family of four, two children aged 8 and 11 and two adults. We wanted to take an Interrail trip, excited about traveling by train and trusting that it would be pleasant and fun. How wrong we were! Our experience has been horrible. We have taken 8 trains and we have had delays in 5! the shortest 45 minutes, the longest 160! Because of this we have lost the link with the following trains, so we lost the seat reservations we had in first class. Result: on one occasion we had to travel in the train bar, on another we had to spend the night (9 hours!) in a seat despite having reserved beds. I insist: with two small children. If you don't trust our words, take a look at Interrail's compensation policy: they do not compensate any delay of less than 60 minutes. Because? obvious: because there are so many, they would lose money. And the biggest delays equally at ridiculous prices. But that is not all! Changes in train schedules without prior notice, mistreatment by train and station sta
Hi,I am sorry to disturb, I’ve seen several different versions,Indeed, On the Interrail website, I’ve seen that there is a discount on the ferry journey between Italy and greece (Barri and Corfou),And I’ve also seen that it’s totally free (on the ferry company website (superfast ferries))Finally, I’ve seen that the seat is free, but we have to pay taxes, If it’s free, how to do it ? I’ve tried on the website, and at the end, if I put ‘null’, it’s free, but I don’t know what this means,Also, I am 24, and I can’t select the “Interrail Global Pass 2nd cl”,as a discount. I need to put that I am an adult. I hope you’ll help me, Tank you very much
My understanding is:(a) Eurailpasses are NOT valid on Heathrow Express(b) as almost always with local suburban rail operators, Eurailpasses are similarly NOT valid on London Underground (‘Tube’) trains (and buses/trams)however:© Eurailpasses ARE VALID on the newly opened Elizabeth Line (Transport for London) between say London Heathrow Airport terminals and Paddington, or elsewhere on the route (though once one tries to connect to the Tube, one would have to have a valid Oyster Pass issued by TfL.(d) Similarly, Eurailpasses “may” be valid on London Overground trains. Is the latter - c and d- correct? If so, where can one have a Paper Eurailpass validated at Heathrow? Will a TfL staffed booking office do it?
THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE.Passes were bought erroneously on my credit card. I contacted this HORRIBLE company within minutes to get it refunded. AND THEY REFUSE to give me a full refund. Not only will they STEAL from you. They will explain to you that their website is made so poorly that you cant even tell if you can get a seat on a train before you buy a pass. So you buy the pass only to find out it wont work for ANY train you need. DO NO, I REPEAT, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I’VE EVER DEALT WITH.
Hi everyone, I was trying to book seat reservations (for Eurail pass holders) for a train from Paris Gare de Lyon to Nice Ville on 13 May on travel.b-europe.com, it came up with two different options of the same departure time (13:54), both trains are direct trains with the exact same travel time, departure time, and arrival time. One of the train number is TGV6077 with a beverage symbol next to it and shows all the stops along the way. The other train number is TGV6177 without a beverage symbol and shows no stops along the way. So my question is are these trains both exactly the same or TGV6177 doesn't serve drinks and without stopping while TGV6077 serves drinks and stops in all the stops showing in the details? Are both these trains TGV INOUI?Thank you so much in advance. Please refer to the pictures below:
Booking one leg of a night train trip on travel.b-europe.com (15 June from Toulouse Matabiou to Narbonne), but it's saying that my pass number is invalid. I have a mobile Eurail global pass. It does not say how to find my pass number on a mobile pass (just a paper pass). How can I book these tickets, please? I cannot do them in person (as I am in the US). I cannot do them on the Eurail site, as it is saying the tickets are unavailable to be booked. Please help. Thanks!
Hi, I purchased a eurail pass for my trip travelling throughout Europe for 4 weeks. I thought this would save stress and money however when I arrived for my first train to Paris I was unable to make it on any of the trains and had to purchase a ticket anyway. My question is how can I avoid this happening for other cities where I may possibly be stranded without accommodation. The train company were not affiliated and could not help. There is no personal customer service making me think this pass / company is a total rip off!!
How would it work if the country of residence, like the Netherlands, has electronic gates when you exit the station and return later to catch the next train?
It is stated on the web that the global pass can be used to travel in one’s country of residence during 1 outbound and 1 inbound trip per travel day. I have some questions about the technicality. The “Travel Diary” example lists “Brighton-London St Pan” as an example for the in/outbounds. This is strange in itself, since they are both in the same country, UK/England. In the case someone wants to travel from Station A1 to Station B, via Station A2 in the same country as Station A1, and it is the country of residence → Does he/she have to write A1 - A2 then A2-B separately in the “My Trip” section, or just “A1 - B”? Can the holder exit station A2 in the process and return later to catch the next train to Station B? If the answer is yes, how it would work if the country of residence, like the Netherlands, has electronic gates? Will exiting Station A2 accidentally be counted as doing a trip inside one’s country of residence and thus violating the rules?
Hello, we are actually in a train from Frankfurt to Berlin, without reservation needed but the controller asked us a ticket with a QR code to scan it. But we thought that the QR code was only for train with reservation ! So we went on the rail planner but we didn’t find any QR code, and the controler start to ask us to pay 100€, until I checked a second time on the rail planner and we finally find the QR code who appeared few minutes after. It’s that a bug of interrail ? Or do we have to print all the tickets with the QR code even with trains without reservation ?
