Hello, this is my first post in this community, so please tell me if I have to do something, or add something. I purchased a train ticket at interrail from Paris Montparnasse(France) to Tours(France), and received payment confirmation and my e-ticket via email. I have a Eurail pass, so I tried to add this ticket to my pass in the Rail Planner app, but it seems that the app doesn’t have the information about it. How can I solve this problem? Thanks in advance.
Hi all,I’m a UK resident and citizen and I’m looking at buying an Interrail Global pass with 4 uses in one month. I have some questions about what the allowed order of trips is, particularly concerning inbound and outbound journeys.Question 1:My intended journeys are, in chronological order:Southampton to Manchester AirportManchester Airport to SouthamptonLondon St Pancras to Lille (Eurostar)Lille to London St Pancras (Eurostar)Southampton to Manchester and Manchester to Southampton would be on 2 separate days. The Lille trip would be a day trip all on the same day. I may be taking a train in my destination country after flying there from Manchester but not sure yet.Am I allowed to do this?Would I also be allowed to take the train from Southampton to London and back to get to St Pancras using the pass, or would my inbound and outbound already have been used up going to and from Manchester? If I don’t take a train during my trip abroad from Manchester does this make my train trips to Ma
Hi I bought a pass 4 days within 1 month (flexi pass) only because I travel to Paris once every months. So the pass is free for my daughter (7years old). I travelled in January for 3 days alone. I went to London St Pancras to collect my ticket and I'm planning again to travel in February with my daughter. My question is for how long this pass is available? And for how many trips? On my app it shows thisO/4 used travel days 0/2 used outbound/inbound Please could someone explain how this work? Also in long term which pass I could buy because, as I said I do go to Paris every month.
I want to purchase an Interrail pass that I’ll begin using from Wednesday 5 October. Problem is, my phone won’t support the Mobile App (below iOS 13) and obtaining the pass physically may be a logistical issue…I’m only at an address in London until Tuesday 4 October and I’m booked on the Eurostar that day to Paris (booked and paid for separately/already). I don’t know the address I’ll be staying at in Paris at this point, so can’t order the Pass as I have nowhere for it to be sent at this point. The site indicates that the mail could take 3-8 days to arrive. What options do I have? Can I purchase the pass in-person anywhere in London in the next few days, or in Paris when I arrive on Tuesday 4 October? And if the latter is possible, can I begin to use the pass the following day, or possibly start from the same day?
Toledo: I want to go to Toledo on Sep 7. I have been checking train schedules from Madrid to Toledo on the Rail Planner app; somehow the train schedule is only shown through Sep 3, but when I checked on the Eurail.com website, I could see train schedules all the way through the end of September. The problem is that I cannot reserve train ride on the website. What do I do? Train Seat Reservations: The Rail Planner app allows me to reserve train rides, but not train seat tickets. It seems the only option is to book at major train stations when I arrive in Madrid on Sep 3. I hope I will still be able to reserve seat tickets by then since I have already reserved a number of train rides on the app? I have purchased first-class Eurail Spain Pass. Any advice/tips are much appreciated! Thank you!
Has anyone else had this problem? I’ve been trying to buy a Global Interrail Pass online for several days, but my payment keeps being declined. I contacted my bank (Triodos) and they say the following:“The reason the payment was declined is that the merchant’s acquiring bank did not send enough data through in the authorisation request for strong customer authentication to be performed. In the UK new legislation is being introduced to reduce fraud and as a result, you may be asked to verify your identity when making a purchase online. Retailers are having to update their systems to include specific information to card providers to enable the transactions to be authorised.Unfortunately, this has created some challenges for retailers who haven’t yet updated their systems to include the required information, which may then result in declined transactions. We have raised this issue with our provider, Mastercard, who have confirmed it would be an issue that the specific merchant would need to
good morning this is urgent and I believe it needs to be solved by the team. I have written to them but no reply and cannot find a telephone number. I bought an electronic pass on Friday I need to travel tomorrow starting with Eurostar. the electronic pass number is not recognised by the seat reservation page at Eurostar.
I have recently been diagnosed with ovarian cancer and I am awaiting all the tests and treatments. Unfortunately we bought our pass on 11.5.22 and haven’t had a chance to use it yet. Please could someone tell me when we need to start travelling by?Please could someone tell me when we have to finish travelling by?Also we live in the uk. Can we use the euro rail to get to France with the pass?I am very grateful for any help at all at this distressing time.We bought the tickets in the 50% sale and so I do not think we are entitled to a refund.Does anyone know if it is possible to delay the start of our trip in these circumstances?Kindest regards,Alison Allister
We want to go skiing by train come february 18 tot 25 and want to book the TGV Inoui from Lille Europe to Aime La Plagne. We are a family of 4 from Belgium Will we be able to use the Interrail pass one country and also WHEN Will we be able to book?Thank you!
Hi there, our paper Global Pass has not arrived, it got to the Dutch border on the 22nd November but then the trail went cold. I dont know what the UK tracking number is, it was due to arrive in early December, and we travel tomorrow evening. Is there any way to contact an actual person in Eurail to try to find out where it has got to? We have pre-bought lots of (often rare) tickets to get up to Northern Sweden, using the pass number we were given in the confirmation/order emails. Can anyone tell us whether if we buy a mobile pass, and then cancel the paper one, we can use the existing paper tickets (bought direct via Eurostar and swedish railways as the Eurail website seemed to fall over lots of time), with the pass ‘number’ listed on the mobile pass? Does the Mobile pass even have a pass number? The paper tickets have ‘only valid with a railcard’ printed on them, but it doesn’t quote a particular pass number. I dont think we’re going to be able to re-buy all the tickets via the app, we
Hello, I am an international student with a Dutch residence permit and a non-EU Pasport. I am thinking of buying a 3-months Global Pass. My questions are: 1. Can I buy the Eurail Pass (not Interrail) with my non-EU Pasport even if I have an EU residence permit? Or am I obligated to buy the Interrail Pass?2. I see that the Interrail pass has the Inbound/Outbound Journey Rule. Does this mean that I can only use the Interrail Pass for 2 days only in my residence country (but in those 2 days I am free to travel as much as I want in my residence country)? If this is true, after my 2 days are gone, does it mean I need to buy a ticket to neighboring-country's border and only then can use my interrail pass again?3. Can I use the Interrail if I travel outside Netherlands and then go back to Netherlands again (since I am a student and have classes) and, after a few days, travel abroad again or is this violated the Inbound/Outbound Rule since I will me using many days of travel in and out of the
Hi,I want to start my interrail trip next week. About 2 weeks ago I found out about the complementary caregiver pass and submitted a support request (Id #212586) but I haven't got a reply yet.How do I get the caregiver pass?I am eligible for a caregiver (“begleitperson”) in Germany but I don't know if this makes me eligible for a complementary interrail caregiver pass.Best regards
I activated my pass already but I want to refund it because it has been too much of a pain to try to get seat reservations everywhere I want to go. It takes me hours to book any seat reservation. I am okay with getting the 85% partial refund. My pass says I have used 1/15 travel days, though I haven’t taken a single train in Europe so far so I don’t know why it says that. How do I get a refund?
Hi, I have an Interrail mobile pass for 7 days within one month. The last activation date is 31 August 2022 but I am not able to start my first journey until 20 September 2022. I then plan to complete all 7 days of travel by 30 September 2022. Is this permitted? Or do I have to take my first journey on the date that I activate the pass (ie travel on 31 August 2022?).Any advice gratefully received.
I ordered our passes by 7 June 2022. Eurail shows payment as received, but hasn’t yet sent the passes by mail. It claims we will receive these by 16 July 2022.We are in Australia and depart for overseas towards the end of September 2022.With previous Eurail Golbal Passes years ago, I had always bought a paper pass locally from a Eurail-affiliated travel agent, but the only one in Melbourne I tracked down said it only sells mobile passes (at a substantial added cost to the price the Eurail site charges. We don’t want mobile passes as I can’t rely on smartphones, and as a bonus I enjoy filling in the record of travel and posting it to Eurail once back in Australia.I realise the Eurail office is likely to be very busy (and perhaps is having difficulty obtaining sufficient staff) but there’s not even a Eurail Aid office in London, UK, Paris or France yet the UK is where we commence our travel. It’s impossible to book seats on compulsory reserved seat trains until we have the paper Pass num
Can I travel outside my country of residence if I have already used up the outbound and inbound travel?
Hi,I would like to know if I can do several, for example, 2-week trips with a global pass over 3 months. I know that I can only travel once out of my country and once into my country, but can I travel outside my home country if I have not started the trip with Interrail tickets from my home country? For example go from Vienna to Munich (i’m austrian) with an own ticket an then use Interrail again going on from munich, if i've used both inbound and outbound before. And from where do I have to buy the ticket when travelling back into my country not having the inbound anymore. The first station in my country or the last station in the foreign country?Thank you! Felix
Hi, looking up reservations on the Thalys on the EURail site and saw that reservations were required but no sign that reservations weren’t available for passholders. I bought my family EU passes because we are taking the train for several days, and then went back to make the reservation, and it’s no longer available because they have allocated all their seats to passholders. If I had known I couldn’t get a reservation with the pass I would not have bought it! What can I do besides just request refund?I feel like this is a flaw on their reservations page-- if a reservation is not available for pass holders, they should list it on their route itineraries, even if a pass is not yet added to the account!
