Meet Oliver: an adventurous guy from West Wales, travelling across Europe with Interrail. As a wheelchair user, Oliver is exploring Europe and looking forward to test his adapted sit-ski (designed and build by himself) in the near future.  With plenty of experience, he is keen on sharing his journey to inspire other disabled travellers to join the backpacking scene.  Curious? As I write I am on the train to Cardiff, the Welsh capital, from my home in West Wales but I’m very excited to finally get aboard again for my next rail adventure, it’s been a long time coming!As a wheelchair user (through a neurological disease) I first came to take the train to travel abroad as flying can be such a difficult and stressful experience. It can also be very undignified. My initiation into the Interrail experience was an eventful but overall positive journey to Ibiza from Wales. My planned stops were  London followed by

An emblem for European unity, the Interrail Pass continues to serve as a bridge for cultural exchange, enabling travellers to get out of their comfort zone and explore the unknown. Meet Kris: a 23-year-old Dutch girl travelling across Europe with Interrail. Diagnosed with Ehler Danlos syndrome, Kris is exploring Europe in her electric-powered wheelchair. With her Instagram and YouTube adventures, she's sharing her adventures to show that travel is possible for anyone.After a 50 hour travel journey i'm replacing my ski clothes at the other side. After traveling through all countries of Scandinavia it was time to travel through the Baltic states. While my wheelchair worked perfect in the extreme winter weather and even in Lapland it suddenly stopped working that well when I arrived in Latvia. My motor broke and without my motor I can't move my wheelchair and can't move myself outside. And there you are, in the middle of Riga, a city with no taxi for wheelchairs, no English speaking train assistance to call and a wheelchair that could stop working every moment. After 2,5 weeks of waiting in a hotel till my new motor should arrive by post, the shipment was canceled.
