To ask all about our Passes, reservations & more
HiI am finding ticket reservations for trains in Spain to be challenging, Can anyone advise?I understand long distance/high speed trains in Spain need reservations. You must collect reservations within 72 hrs of booking, at a station in Spain. However these reservations are released to general public 24 hrs before departure and therefore you loose the reservation, if not collected 24 hrs before departure. I am also told there are no charges for reservationsMy first station is Barcelona and I want to go straight on to Madrid I cannot use a reservation because my arrival will be less than 24 hrs from departure. It appears the only solution is for me to go to the ticket office in Barcelona and show my Interail pass and hope there are seats that I can use to get to Madrid. Is this correct? Then if there are seats available I presume these are free with my Interrail pass- Is this also correct. If I am missing something please advise. Thanks Malcolm
Hi,we are residents of germany and want to do the following trip in a 4 days / month pass Nuremberg - Paris Paris - nuremberg nuremberg - brussels brussels - Nuremberg if I understand correctly, we cannot have 4 inbound / outbound journeys. Is it correct? how should I manage this journey the best to make the most of the pass? We don’t hold any inside germany local train passes thank you
Hi, I have been travelling with 4 day pass, since my travel time was very limited. After I had used 3 days of my travel, my phone broke.I had to replace the old phone with new one to be able to continue my travel, and I try to logg in to the app. I discovered that there was no way to logg in to the app from my new device. I didnt know how to contact IR at that time, and there was no informaton in Terms and Conditions that you can only use your pass from the same device. I think this system is rather complicated, if I could not fix it myself. I think in this keys I should get some refund or be able to use my last ticket at other time. My ticket expires 17th of December but in this time I cant use it becouse I am working now.
My problem is that I want to use a night train for my outbound journey. This train starts before midnight and I have to switch trains the next morning still within my own country and then take another train to leave the country. The app splits this into two parts (most likely because the first train starts on a different day). Can I still make it my outbound trip or will it not accept it because the first train is entirely within my country? If you search the same connection in the opposite direction both trains start on the same day and it shows up as just one trip.If it doesn't accept it my current solution would be to use a different train traveling the same direction and the switching to the night train once it is past midnight but that would obviously make it more complicated and add some extra cost.
Hello, I was looking into buying tickets for me and my family (we are all Brazilians). We are planning on going to France, The Netherlands, Italy and Switzerland. The thing is I still don’t know which type of pass my boyfriend would need. He was born in brazil and has always lived in Brazil. However, he has a dual citizenship and his only valid passport is the Portuguese one. Would he be eligible to buy a Eurail? What are the acceptable documents to prove your country of residency?
Hallo liebes Interrail-Team.
Hi. With a global pass, is it possible on your outward travel to do this over a few days (i.e travel to London from home location and have a couple of days there before heading over to Paris on Eurostar from St.Pancras etc.) or does the travel out need to be done in one hit over a 24 hour period?. Can anyone help. Thanks
I am trying to reserve train from Paris to London on 26th December but there are no reservation available
Hi, I did not know about how to book reservations and I just added Paris to London train for 26th December to my pass. But now it is showing that reservation not available and its unavailable for 24th, 25th and 26th December for any time. Is it because the Eurostar train is sold out or is it that the train is not operated on these dates. are there any alternatives for me? Plese help. Also when I added the train to my pass it gave me a QR code. Will I be able to get any help at the station itself with that QR? or maybe board the train without reservation and just the QR code.
My family and I are trying to book the 3-day tickets for Top of Europe with our Eurail pass but the website lists the dates we’re going to (December 22-25) as ‘unavailable’ even though they said tickets would be available by December 11 2022. In fact, all the dates seem to be unavailable. Is there another way to book tickets for this?
As I was on my way to the train station, I lost my phone. So now I am trying to add the pass on to a different device but it will not let me because it was already activated on my lost phone. What can I do? I already submitted a request but my friend and I am hoping to leave early tomorrow morning and I am worried they will not get back to me soon. Please let me know!!
Hi - I purchased two tickets on my laptop at the ÖBB site. I have since downloaded the OBB app and do not see any way to move the tickets to the app. Is this possible? And, we are traveling during the holidays and would like to ensure we sit together. I have read several posts here about reserving seats, but no mention of selecting seats. Is that not possible? Is it first come first serve on seats? Thanks very much for any help!
Is there any other way of booking a eurostar reservation if it is "unavailable" on the rail planner app?
Is there any other way of booking a eurostar reservation if it is "unavailable" on the rail planner app? I have to go on the 1 Jan to Paris from London and cannot buy a seat reservation. Is there any other website where I may be able to book a reservation?
Hi all. i am new to the forum. Travelling with the family to Paris from Munich later this month. Have a connection at Mannheim where I go from ICE to TGV. Have to get there is just over ten minutes. Hi! I’m traveling alone to Italy the 18th of December. My plan is to stay in Rome until 21th of December, and take the train to Catania. I have no idea what is going on right now but finding flight tickets from Oslo to/from Italy has been nearly impossible. I was unable to find flights directly to Sicily so I decided I could fly to Rome and experience that city too. And since I want to experience the train ferry I can take the train to Catania. But Jesus Christ, I’ve been trying for days to find a direct train to Catania from Rome but the tickets are hella expensive and there are so few left. Plus, there are no flights from Sicily to Oslo for my return, so I have to take the train back to Rome and fly from there on 5th of January. So since the traintickets on trenitalia are up to 94 euros one way, I was thinking I might try interrail pass instead. The price given to me for a pass is 124 euros for 4 days travel. My questions are: I’ve never used interrail before, and the reviews for eur

Hi everyone, I have a journey booked from London to Zermatt (Switzerland) on Saturday 17th of December and have booked reservations for three trains (not required for other bits of the journey). I’ve just received an email saying my eurostar will leave 40 mins after it was originally planned. This means that I will miss the next legs of the journey. I have two questions: Will my TGV reservation be valid on the next available train? Am I able to get a full refund for my reservations now the first leg has changed?I’m having a bit of trouble contacting anyone on this so would really appreciate any advice. Thanks, Tilly
