Is my Eurail global pass valid to board LNER trains?
Hi, I am trying to book my journey reservations from London to Edinburgh on 29th December and the eurail website shows that I need to book reservation from ACP website. Also it is mentioned in “more ways to book” that I can use LNER website to book free of cost opposing 10$ fee in ACP rail. I want to know that can I board LNER train with just the seat reservation with my Eurail Global pass as the LNER trains are different timings on the LNER website and when I check the same in on Eurail seat reservations page the timings don’t match. The Eurail website only shows the trains listed on ACP website. I have booked free seat reservation for my journey but will my pass be valid as the same train is not listed on Eurail website only the “ways to book’ section suggests LNER website.
Is it possible to board a train that requires a seat reservation even without a reservation?
Hello community, just one question. Is it possible to board a train that requires a seat reservation even without a reservation? The latter secures a seat or bed, but I would be fine with standing. is it possible to even just stand on the train, or do they really not let me on if I haven't made a reservation? Thank you!
Problems with seat reservation: Italy to Germany on a OBB Nightjet train
I am not able to book a reservation for this journey (screenshot attached). The website for reservations looks slightly different from what it was a few days ago. Is there a problem with the website that will be fixed soon? My journey is coming up and I need a reservation. I’m travelling from Italy to Germany on a OBB Nightjet train. Is there another way to book the reservation? Reservations are not available on the OBB website even when Eurail website shows ‘high availability of seats’
Hi,I have a Interrail GlobalPass and am currently in Austria. I would like to book the Budapest-Bucharest night journey but on the Hungarian site, despite the addition of the pass, the fares are much higher than expected, perhaps they contain the seat + the ticket and I can't find a way to separate them. On the Romanian site, it is impossible to put a form of discount/pass in the entry data. Finally, on the OBB site, the ticket is indicated as not available. Do I have to wait until I'm at the station to take these tickets? I also want to book the Bucharest-Sofia but on neither site is it possible to select these departure and arrival points. How should I do ? Finally, on the Sofia Istanbul, I guess it is only possible to pick it up at the station. Is it possible to still get a seat by booking at the last minute ? Thank you in advance,
Making Renfe / AVE reservations AT Spanish Railway stations | How does it work?
We are trying very hard to make our Renfe / AVE reservations for our ‘Spain cityhopping trip’ on time, which is rather complicated as most people here know, so if all else fails we will be forced to try making our reservations very last-minute, AT the Renfe / AVE stations. So these questions are basically about this worst case scenario: -How last-minute can we make reservations AT the departure stations? At least 48 hours in advance? 24 hours in advance? 1 hour in advance?-Can we -for example- reserve seats between Madrid and Bilbao when we are in the -for example- Seville RENFE station? Or can we only reserve trips starting from Seville from there? -In hindsight: As we have planned only 5 trips (Seville - Granada | Granada - Madrid | Madrid - Bilbao | Bilbao - Zaragoza | Zaragoza - Girona) wouldn’t we have been better off with a Renfe pass for international travellers? Would this have saved us all the reservation hassle that we got ‘for free’ with our One Country Passes Spain, as Renfe
Can I travel outside my country of residence if I have already used up the outbound and inbound travel?
Hi,I would like to know if I can do several, for example, 2-week trips with a global pass over 3 months. I know that I can only travel once out of my country and once into my country, but can I travel outside my home country if I have not started the trip with Interrail tickets from my home country? For example go from Vienna to Munich (i’m austrian) with an own ticket an then use Interrail again going on from munich, if i've used both inbound and outbound before. And from where do I have to buy the ticket when travelling back into my country not having the inbound anymore. The first station in my country or the last station in the foreign country?Thank you! Felix
How does the outbound and inbound jorney works?
Hello everyone!I am really confused. Are the outbound and inbound jorney days included in the interrail global passes days? Or are those 2 travel days like a bonus/extra? For example: if i buy a 10 day global passe, do i get a travel day to leave my country, then can to travel up to 10 days, and then get another travel day to enter my country?Or is it just a name for the 2 travel days that I use to outbound and inbound my own country and all in those 10 days?Sorry if this is a silly question! Thanks for the attention :))
Student studying abroad in Italy. Worth to buy a Pass?
I am a student studying abroad in Italy, I plan on traveling a lot, especially around Italy and my program is exactly three months. Would it be worth it for me to get the 3 month, global Eurail pass or is there a better option for me? I would love to hear all of the advice everyone is willing to give me. Thank you!
The use of inbound/outbound when passing through home country
Hi,I wanted to travel first from my home country Germany to Sweden and using the outbound journey day for this. Afterwards I wanted to use the inbound journey day to pass with the night train through Germany to Austria and then continue on south. Afterwards I wanted to drive home to Germany using regular tickets. But the Interrail Info about passing through your home country says:“Keep in mind that when you want to travel from one country to another, and you have to travel through your country of residence, the app wil apply both the inbound and the outbound journey to this trip. “Does this mean that I need to spend both the inbound and the outbound journey day to pass through my home country, although this only ‘costs’ one travels day?And a second question: When I return from Sweden using the over night ferry Goteborg - Kiel (Kiel is in Northern Germany), do I have to spend one of the two outbound/inbound days to arrive at Kiel? Or can I stay two days in Kiel and then start the inbound
Interrail mobile pass not linked to online account - can't sync activated pass on app to online account
I have bought an inter rail mobile pass. The pass is not showing up anywhere on my online inter rail account in the “order overview section” - and not showing up anywhere else, and therefore I cannot see if it has been activated. How do I get it to show up? However, my pass is activated on my inter rail APPI have manually created a Trip on my ONLINE inter rail account, and manually added my pass details. I have added friends to this Trip. They have done the same, but none of us can see that we have been added to each others’ Trips. We need to make train reservations. If I make a reservation Online for all of us on my Trip, does that show up for their Trips as we are linked? When I board the train, what details to I show? Is this on the App? How do I link / synch the Online account and details about the Trip to the App?.I leave early next week and need this sorted out ASAP. Any help appreciated @AnnaB do you have any ideas thanks
Italian Intercity reservations - mandatory or optional?
Can anybody definitively confirm that IC trains in Italy do or do not require reservations for pass users? My experience a couple of months ago was my reservation was checked. Interrail planner says reservation required, but on here and Facebook several experienced contributors say they are optional.Italiarail - Trenitalia’s official partner also says reservations are required. I am always concerned that Newbies get the correct information as on board. It is no good saying “I thought...” or “ I was told by …...”, when they have the uniform and the rule book on their side.
2nd class pass - 1st class reservation
Hi! I bought a second class pass for 4 days. Travelling from Copenhagen to Stockholm is one of my journeys. This journey, however, requires a reservation. I tried doing this via SJ‘s website and it actually works. The thing is that the 2nd class reservation costs 69kr but right next to it there’s the option to choose first class for 140kr which sounds really tempting. Since I had to provide my Interrail pass number in the process I’m wondering if I can make the 1st class reservation and take that train (with my 2nd class pass)? Do you think that’s possible or shouldn’t I even had the option to choose a first class reservation? Thanks!Cheers,Andrej
Route and trains - France and Italy, is interrail worth it?
Hello! My name is Maja and I am planning to travel through France and Italy this summer with my boyfriend. We have all of our destinations and dates ready, but I have a few questions regarding the trains (interrail). Here is our route: London-Paris Paris-Nice night train In Nice we would like to visit Cannes, Antibes and Monte Carlo as day trips. Should we book transportation separately or via interrail? Nice-Vernazza (Cinque Terre) Cinque Terre-Florence Florence-Venice (from Venice we fly to Greece) So I was thinking about buying the global pass for 1 month with 5 travel days. Should that work or do we need the 7 travel days due to the overnight train? I was also wondering if it is cheaper to book all of the trains separately (not with an interrail pass) since most of these trains require seat reservations. I would be so glad to get some tips from you experts, as I have tried researching online by myself without getting any wiser. Best regards, Maja

Reserving seats via Italiarail using Mobile Pass - Italiarail no longer provides reservation services?
Hello, a friend of mine managed to get the pass holder number from Eurail despite having a mobile pass. He then managed to book his tickets via Italiarail https://app.italiarail.com/itinerary and received his reservation confirmations. However, I recalled emailing Italiarail’s customer service and they mentioned that they no longer provide reservation services for Eurail passholders as they are going mobile.Does anyone here know if train conductors will still recognize seat reservations booked via Italiarail even though the user holds a Eurail mobile pass? We are worried that we might not be able to board the train as we do not hold physical passes despite receiving the confirmation email.
Seat Reservations for Overnight Trains in Italy
Hello,I have a Global Pass and I’m trying to make reservations for an overnight train from Paris to Rome on May 8th with sleeping accommodations. The first train reservation from Paris to Turin seems to be available as usual. The second is a nightly train between Turin (Torino Porta Susa) and Rome (Roma Tiburtina) from 20:40 to 05:53. When I try to make a seat reservation through the Eurail website, the reservation shows a message: Prices temporarily unavailable Check back in a few hours to see prices and book this seat reservationThis message has been there for a few days. I have tried the app, it refers me back to the Eurail website. There are instructions on the Eurail website that recommend booking online with ItaliaRail as an alternative. The instructions say that you are able to select “Global Pass” in the offer menu to book reservations only, and that way you do not pay the price of a reservation plus an additional ticket. I am not able to find this option for a

Credit Card Error
I’ve finally made my itinerary and ready to book and start travel on Tuesday but well several things:The colors are hard to see on iPhone Chat program (on iPhone) hides the “X” to close it out because it covers almost the entire screen and you just can’t log out Some links do not work like I mentioned here: And lastly, the form to purchase has issues as I am not able to buy a pass. What gives people? Here is the error I get when I try to purchase a pass: can you imagine what other heads I may encounter while I travel gosh kind of scary and getting high Anxiety over all, gosh oh and did I mentioned that I just finished planning my itinerary? oh and I went to Frankfurt main train station and the DB office (service center) offer “zero” “0” support for eurail.com. Even though the links (https://www.bahn.com/en/offers/passes/eurail-pass) from DB itself sends you to eurail.com (funny right)?
