Reserving seats via Italiarail using Mobile Pass - Italiarail no longer provides reservation services?
Hello, a friend of mine managed to get the pass holder number from Eurail despite having a mobile pass. He then managed to book his tickets via Italiarail https://app.italiarail.com/itinerary and received his reservation confirmations. However, I recalled emailing Italiarail’s customer service and they mentioned that they no longer provide reservation services for Eurail passholders as they are going mobile.Does anyone here know if train conductors will still recognize seat reservations booked via Italiarail even though the user holds a Eurail mobile pass? We are worried that we might not be able to board the train as we do not hold physical passes despite receiving the confirmation email.
So I am planning my first ever trip with the Eurostar soon and it seems quite more complicated than other trains. I wanted to ask you all, what do I have to do when I arrive at the Eurostar station? (Bruxelles-Midi in my case). Do I just walk to the platform and everything I have to do will be there? By the way, I have seen that I have to arrive very early at the station, I already have that planned. Thanks for help :)
I will be traveling through Europe in a little less than a month. Today as I was trying to purchase the paper reservation ticket for a trip from Paris-Barcelona, I noticed that the estimated arrival date of these tickets by mail was November 21, which is 3 days after I will have left for my trip. Is one month an accurate estimation of how long it would take for this paper reservation to arrive? Or will I be okay to get the reservation in the Paris station a few days before I need to leave for Barcelona?
Dear all This Saturday I am planning to go from Lille (France) to Barcelona (Spain) with my interrail pass. There is a change of trains in Lyon. For Lille-Lyon I can make my reservations for seats online, for Lyon-Barcelona I cannot - this needs to happen by post 6 days prior to departure (for which I am too late) or in a station. I live in Belgium, and here the local railway service (NMBS) does not provide seat reservation for trains to Barcelona (I really don’t understand why??). My solution is to go on Saturday to Lille (France) early enough and hope that it still will be possible to make reservations for my train from Lyon to Barcelona on that same day. Is there anyone who knows if this is possible? And whether I can check prior to departure whether there are still enough places free?Thank you in advance! Karel
I bought a mobile pass but lots of online reservations only work with paper pass ☹️Sorry, but how odd this is!! I really thought I could arrange everything “mobile” when buying a “mobile” pass. So now I’m looking for the best way to make reservations online / mobile for:England / Spain / Portugal and how much time before must I make a reservation for those countries? Thank you!
Hello! I am trying to make reservations from Paris to Barcelona on Tuesday 7th June (eventually ending up in Lisbon) and we’re now struggling to find ways to make seat reservations. Is it very risky to book in person at the station on the same day or the day before or have people generally had much more success with this rather than reserving online? It’s my first time using a Global Pass and we thought this would be smooth and easy to use when we were looking this last couple of months… but now we’ve bought the pass it feels a lot more stressful and unavailable than we initially thought! 🥺
Are the trains between the 5 towns of Cinque Terre included or do we need a Cinque Terre Train Card?
Hello, We are hoping to visit Cinque Terre in June. But do the trains between the 5 towns included in the Interrail card? We have 2week passes, for all day travel frist class. So we can travel every day of the 2 weeks we are gone. Do we need to purchase seperate Cinque terra cards? For 3 days its 47 euros pp. So I dont want to spend it if we dont have to. And I cany find it, and they dont show up in the app. Happy if anyone can help. Thank you.
Hi everyone,I’m a bit confused. I bought a rail pass to travel next christmas and today, the 15th of october, there is still no train timetable available on interrail website further than the 10th of december.I’m afraid it will be too late. For example, the SNCF in France launched tickets for christmas holidays and most of the tickets on the main lines have been sold.I’m a bit disappointed and I’m thinking of asking for a refund for my pass and eventually buy a flight ticket I would have paid 100 euros less if I had bought it last month…Any advice ?
Hey everyone. I’m supposed to travel from Paris starting on the 31th of July and cross Germany - Tchek Republic - Slovakia - Hungary - Serbia - Croatia - Slovenia - Italy - …I NEED HELP. I can’t book ANY trains or at least the ones I’ve tried. Everytime it says “Prices unavailableNo price results were found for this connection. It is possible that all pass holder seats are sold out. Please try searching for another connection or check 'More information' and try other ways to book this seat reservation. If no pass holder seats are available anymore you need to buy a separate full fare ticket to board.”PLEASE help I am losing it.
I start travelling next week and the date of birth on my pass is incorrect. My friend ordered two passes one for me and one for him, but the date of birth on my pass is incorrectly the same as his. I have contacted customer support but need answers quickly, should I try refund the pass and get a new one? This depends how quick passes are refunded. Or how can I change the date of birth? This is URGENT!
Hi,I‘m starting my interrail journey next week from Germany. For the TGV between France and Spain you only get a paper ticket by Mail for the seat reservations. But it would take too long for the Mail to arrive. Is it possible to book a seat reservation for these trains in a German or French train station?
Hello fellow travellers!I am trying to book the night jet from Zagreb - Split on the 25th of June. I cannot manage to find the prize for the seat reservation or how to book it. Tried with Bahn.de and so on. I looked up previous questions here in the community, and is it correct that this seat reservation can only be made on a Croatian train station? Hi all, my boyfriend and I made a reservation for a nighttrain from Berlin to Budapest-Keleti. When I download the ticket it is one ticket which says '’02 seats'’ but only my name is on it. Is it correct that you get 1 ticket for 2 people? We never made a reservation before so I want to double check everything. Btw: we checked the invoice and we did pay for the both of us. HI Everyone, Due to my studies I have to commute from Mannheim to Freiburg quite often in the next months. I had a look at the test version of the Bahncard 100 but its too expensive. My question is if I could techically use the 2-3 months Global pass for commuting between Mannheim and Freiburg? I only plan to do one in-outbound travel to switzerland in december, but for the rest of the time I would just be in Germany. Thank you for your time,Enrique
Hello!I have two important questions:As you can see in the first image, it won't let me reserve a seat for either of the two trains from Ljubljana to Split. Do you know how and where I can reserve seats on both trains? Does it mean that they are full or that I have to buy the ticket at the station? The second question is why on the seat reservation website (first image) it says that the train from Ljubljana to Zagreb is the NT 415 and in the application (second image) where I have the pass it says that it is the EN 415 train? Hello together,I have a question regarding the inbound and outbound journeys.I want to travel from Munich to Paris but I need to change the train in Stuttgart. Are those trains all included in the Global Pass when it is in one day or do I have to book a seperate train ticket to Stuttgart?So is it just 1 train or is it 1 entire journey to the final destination?Thank you very much for your help.Best regardsMarius
