Eurail & Interrail Passes

Hi, I'm YuliusPlease give me advice what the right ticket for us to buy   ( 2 persons)   with Itinerary :1 Amsterdam, ( 4 days ),  Rotterdam ( 1days )2. Rotterdam - Antwerp - Hasselt ( 2 days)3  Brussels ,Bruges, Ghent,  Dinant  ( 3 days)4. Brussels - Paris , Versailles, Strasbourg, Colmar  ( 5 days)5. Colmar - Zurich ,   6. I want to purchase an Interrail pass that I’ll begin using from Wednesday 5 October. Problem is, my phone won’t support the Mobile App (below iOS 13) and obtaining the pass physically may be a logistical issue…I’m only at an address in London until Tuesday 4 October and I’m booked on the Eurostar that day to Paris (booked and paid for separately/already). I don’t know the address I’ll be staying at in Paris at this point, so can’t order the Pass as I have nowhere for it to be sent at this point. The site indicates that the mail could take 3-8 days to arrive.What options do I have?Can I purchase the pass in-person anywhere in London in the next few days, or in Paris when I arrive on Tuesday 4 October? And if the latter is possible, can I begin to use the pass the following day, or possibly start from the same day?

EUROSTAR – PROBLEMS BOOKING SEAT RESERVATION USING INTERRAIL PASS !BASICALLY FORCED BY EUROSTAR TO BUYING A FULL PRICE TICKET DESPITE HAVING AN INTERRAIL PASS! I read that it is only recommended to activate the pass nearer to travel date so you won’t waste a pass if there unforeseen changes. However can I proceed the seats reservations first as worrying on seats availablity and activate the pass later? Thanks 

Hi!I bought German Twin Pass Flexi 7 days via DB website, it indicates that the Pass wil be sent to my home country by post.However, I've still not received it yet and I will fly to Germany in a few days. If I cant get it before leaving, can I refund it and buy a new one at the DB office at Frankfurt airport? I'm so worried and afraid to lose my money. Please help!  Peungnoi  

I posted before about using a Eurail ticket as a UK citizen but living (for many years) in Hong Kong. As such, I have a UK passport and a Hong Kong identity card (but not HK passport). I will carry some supporting documentation of residency in Hong Kong (can get something from employer, and maybe government document). Hopefully that will be enough - I tried to get clarification from eurail but have not heard anything.I have 2 more questions that I would appreciate some guidance on.Do I enter the HK identity card number as my ID for the pass, or my UK passport number? The HK identity card is not a travel document (just an internal HK document), but if I use the UK passport on a eurail ticket I guess this could cause problems?! In reality, how often / strictly are you asked for identity? I am not doing anything wrong (as a current HK resident I am actually doing the right thing getting Eurail I believe) but I don’t want to face hassle and stress ev

Hi!For days I've been trying to figure out how I can get to Latvia from Lithuania.There's supposed to be a train going from Vilnius to Daugavpils but I can't find any timetable or reliable information with the interracial app, the Lithuanian railway website or the Latvian railway website.Can anybody help me and point me to a reliable source of information?Thx very much!

Hi, my paper pass for Greek Islands is about to be late for the start of my trip. I am wondering if I can add my paper pass to the rail Planner app and use it instead of the paper pass?

I live in Finland and the only way for me to get out of here is to take a ferry to Tallinn, Stockholm or Travemunde and use that as my FIRST leg of the journey. I know discounted ferries do not count towards travel days, but it is required that is falls within the period of validity of the ticket. To choose the validity in the app, I have to make the 1st day of validity a travel day which is the problem here. I need to take a ferry first - which would not use a travel day - but to make the ticket valid I'd need to make it a travel day and so waste a travel day. Is there any solution to this?

Hello, How do I activate my Greek Islands Eurail pass?  I wish to use it mid September. When is the best time to activate it and how do I do that?  because I want to make reservations on the ferries that’s why.  Thank you for guiding me. 

When I go to add a traveler with the last name and pass number I get this error Those details don't matchYou can find the right last name and Pass number in your confirmation email.I have tried all name variations, last name only, first name only, last name/first name, first name/last name. Nothing works. I booked two passes and only one is accepted. 

I bought a Interrail pass and I live in France, I will be traveling to Switzerland but in the residency I added Switzerland.I activated the pass, but as soon as I realised that I needed to use the outbound/inbound ticket, I didn't use it, and now it has been 2 weeks and I cant travel and no one is answering.If you could please tell me what should I do.Thaank you!

Is it possible to add a journey (and generate the ticket) to my trip after the train has officially departed? Say I am sitting in the train, it’s leaving and only then am I adding the journey. Thanks!

Hello everybody,I'm Tina and I would like to book an Interral pass for August 15th.I have a couple of questions that I hope you can answer:1) Is it necessary to stay only one day for each city? If so, on the basis of what is this day calculated?2) Is it sufficient to indicate the stages to book the round trip (if the stages will be the same)? or do you have to reselect the stages for the return?3) How do I know when to reserve seats?Thank you all

Hi there,me and my boyfriend are travelling from Germany to England on August 12th and come back August 17th.I bought a second class global pass but there are no Eurostar seats available anymore. On the Eurostar website it shows that there are first class seats available still.Can I exchange my second class pass for a first class pass in order to book a first class reservation?Or do I need to get a refund for my current pass and then buy a first class pass.Any advice will be much appreciated.Thanks in advance!

When travelling train trains are delayed, so we have to change plans and take later trains once in a while. This means changing the already saved journey for the day. But how? I miss a delete button or change possibility!

Hi, I bought the mobile pass. When I look on the website there are a number of trains from Cologne to Krakow, but on the app there are only night trains available? For this pass can I only take trips that are shown on the mobile app? ThanksAlex

We are due to travel in Europe on a two month pass. We are breaking the trip up because of family issues so have booked a trip around Scandinavia to start. This involves both the in and out uk journeys. Started planning the second trip to Poland. We are flying to Krakow and using the train from there. Tried putting in a train from krakow to Budapest but although it says ‘saved to trip’ when you look on trips it is not there. we have two passes and it is added on one but refuses to be added on the other. any reason why it will not show on trips and how do I move this on.steve

I would like to tie my pass to both my mobile phone and my tablet. The overview is better on the tablet so I´d like to use that for planning but the mobile is better for registering actual trips and has always internet connectivity (tablet can work on wifi).As I try to register my pass on the mobile phone I get a question if I was to disassociate my pass with other devices, when I press no I do not get the option to associate the pass.Any help on how to would be welcome. 

Hello fellow travelers, Due to covid I started my journey a bit later then I had plannend. Because of that I can't use alle my travel days because I have to be back at home at the end of august because of work. That means that at the end of my trip I still have some travel days left (about 3 or 4 days). But my pass is valid till 18th of September. I thought I could do a weekendtrip for example to Paris because I have some spare travel days. Is that possible and how does it work with the outbound and inbound? I plan to buy new iPhone in Nov22. However, I would like to purchase eurail global pass and make a seat reservation in advance. Is it possible to log-in my pass ticket into computer and make a seat reservation in Oct22. Then, in Nov22, I will do log-in my mobile pass in my new iPhone in Nov22

How can I change the language?

Hi.  I have been in 50+ trains yet, but had a rather bad experience with train crew today. I have a paper pass, but i plan my journey in the app and since today, everyone was okay with only seeing the paper pass, id and me having the journey planned in My trip. Now, the conductor in train in Austria was rather angry and said that there should be some sort of QR code in the app that she have to scan and that it does not mean anything that i have it listed in my trip. I have the paper pass connected and after the end of every journey, it adds to my statistics so i thoungt that everything is right.  Is it? Was the conductor wrong and did she only confused it with mobile pass, or Is there something wrong with my pass?  Thank you a lot! 

Hello!My trip is gonna start very soon, in a week and I'm still not very sure about how does the app work. When I want to take a train that doesn't require any reservation, all I need to do is to add it to my pass and when the time comes, to show the QR code to the conductor. Right?What I'm supposed to do when I have booked an reservation for a train that required it? What I should do then? What do I need to show to the conductor? Except the tickets, is there anything else I need to show to the conductor? Thanks!

Hello.I am based in Manchester, England and we are travelling using the eurostar to Paris and back through Brussels using the eurostar once we have finished our 1 month trip.I understand the pass includes in INBOUND & 1 OUTBOUND journey from the UK what is not clear is does this include trains from Manchester aswell as the eurostar which will be taking us out of the UK to Paris?For example to get to Manchester to the eurostar it is 2 trains THEN the eurostar & the same on the return to the UK.Will my ticket be valid for these journeys before the eurostar or will I need to but separately directly from Avanti?Thanks.
