Hi All, I have purchased a flexi global pass 15 trips in 2 months pass and I want to book train travel from Birmingham to Edinburgh for late September, I'm worried if I book it now will that Activate the card or do I put in future activation date starting the date we arrive overseas. We don't leave Australia until early September., 2023I have a second question, when we are trying to put in my husbands name as per the passport details, it say it will only accept 15 characters, can we use his first name and just an initial for his second name then his surname? even though the passport has his whole name, will this cause us any problems, when we use the pass? Thank you all again Sharon
I’m traveling Standard Premier London to Amsterdam in June and booked directly with Eurostar, so I can change the assigned seat. I have chosen a seat that says “window seat” but came to find out there is no window at all, it is simply not an aisle seat, but no window. I want to pick a forward facing seat with a window, preferably a single seat format. But it appears there are very few of those with a window in Coach 1. I was wondering if there is a website like seat guru for airplanes, that tells which are ok seats on Eurostar and which are really bad seats.
I would like to know whether I have to put all my journey on travel day in the pass. Suppose I want to travel from city A to city B in the morning and in the afternoon I want to travel form city B to city C. Do I have to put these two trips into the pass on my travel day?
Hi, I'm visitor from Taiwan. I bought "Eurail German Rail Pass" since 12 Apr-18 Apr. I have confirmed with the online platform "Klook"where I buy my ticket from, this ticket should able to use during "Muenchen Hbf - Salzburg Hbf", but after reservation on app that keep saying “it's not valid in some of these countries.” It make me so confuse. If someone can help me know why, that will be a big help.I will leave may email below, please contact me.Email: boy91335@yahoo.com.tw Thanks,Best regard,
Hi good morning! I'm Greta, I purchased an Interrail Global Pass Youth Promo on November 27, 2022, the information about its validity at the time of purchase referred to 11 months while now, if I try to activate it on the rail planner app it tells me that I can only activate it by, and no later than, May 1 while there would still be 5 months of usability of the ticket.
Hi,I am late with booking (only decided to go today!) and can’t seem to find tickets to get from Paris to Barcelona (in July) and then Barcelona to Malaga. Can I just turn up at the station and book directly with the ticket office or will that be super expensive? Thanks so much.
I’m planning to travel in Europe soon with my Eurail Global Pass. I am not able to book a ticket for a train using my iPhone, but it worked with a laptop. I’m not going to travel with my laptop, so I really need to figure out how to book tickets online with my iPhone. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
Grazie
Hello everyone,My App Rail Planner shows the wrong day for a trip, and does not allow me to travel that day on other trains. Has that ever happened to someone?More specifically:I choose my return from Zurich to Rome (out/inboud day) for the 6th May, and booked my seat reservation on the two trains. Now the reservation mail confirms correctly the 6th May, and so does the website, but ON THE APP it shows the day selected for Zurich-Rome as 4th May, so it does not allow me to choose another train for that day.And it happens i have to travel also the 4th May (from Amsterdam to Zurich).Doew anyone know how to correct this? Thanks.
Hi, I booked a RJX train ticket from Innsbruck to Zurich on the OBB website and inadvertently booked a seat which I don’t like. Is there any possibility to amend the reserved seat location now? There is an option of seat only(no tickets) but it seems that would unnecessarily book two seats for me (the earlier one which I booked with the ticket and the new one with the preferred seat option) Thanks Arnab
Hi,My daughter is going Interrailing from the UK in July with some friends from College but she doesn’t turn 18 until August. On this EU website https://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/travel/entry-exit/travel-documents-minors/index_en.htm it says she “may need an extra (official) document signed by their parents, second parent or legal guardian(s) authorising them to travel.”However, I’m finding it very hard to work out what she needs and for which countries. The UK Foreign Office website suggests that most of the countries on her itinerary do not have specific requirements but it all feels a bit vague. I need some concrete advice to ensure she has all the paperwork she needs. The only thing that appears to be suggested is to contact an Embassy for each country to check. Is that the best thing to do or is there an easier way to check?I hope someone can help.Cheers
So, I programmed my travel to april 20 of 2023 and I couldn’t travel because the strike on Berlin, I programmer an other one on to 21 april, but the same thing. I already lost two days that I couldn’t use. What can I do?!
We were on the 12th April Paris-Hendaye train that got terminated at Bordeaux due to vandalism further down the line. We were travelling on a first class eurail pass so consumed one travel day on it plus the additional first class reservation charges. Are we entitled to any compensation for the bus tickets we had to buy to complete our journey to San Sebastian and the approximate 7 hour delay to our arrival as a result? Most of the information I can find relates to trains that are either cancelled entirely or delayed, but not to trains that commence the journey but fail to complete it.
Hello, I have a question regarding ferry reservations with the Greek Islands pass: would it be possible to book the same ferry trip for two different days and then cancel the one I do not use? Many thanks in advance
HiAfter retirement, I plan a global pass for a couple of days (in a month) around the end of this summer. Although I’m an experienced train traveller, a couple of things are still unclear for me regarding Interrail. My first question is if there is something like “Zugbindung” (like you have with traditional German “Sparpreis” tickets). In other words, if I plan for example for my first day a trip from my home city in the Netherlands to Munich and a train starting at, for example 8:00, would I be allowed to decide on this first morning to take a train earlier or later? And would I be flexible regarding the route, so instead of via Hannover to take a train via Frankfurt? Or do I have to take exactly those train(s) that I selected (“Zugbindung”) when I created the trip for that first day? My second question is how flexible I am regarding creating trips. Do I have to plan every trip (and thus every day and train) before I start using the Interrail pass? Or can it be that I enter only the
Hi everyone. EuroRail rookie here. Just wanting to confirm the facts Ive read already from various blogs. We are travelling on a 1st class global pass for 2 months to about 11 countries (Germany, Austria, Czech, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland) I would like to ask if travelling within the same country (ie Switzerland or Hungary) is included in our global pass? I know it may not be include travel WITHIN a city (ie metro trains, trams, metro buses), but does it cover travel from city to city? Does this also include buses from city to city? Are any of the above 11 countries preclude this? Thanking everyone in advance. Kind regardsYoungCoupleOZNZ

In welchen Zügen im Ausland (Frankreich, Spanien) kann ich ein Fahrrad bzw. E-Bike mitnehmen?
I reserved a ticket for eurostar to Brussels on 10th April to travel on to Munich but also booked a flight to Munich and decided to take the flight. I deselected train journey from my pass but didn't deselect outbound journey. I tried to do this when I noticed it was still showing but it was too late since train departure had passed. Is there any way I can get this back?
Si j’ai un eurailpass et que je veux prendre un train Copenhague-Berlin, est-ce que le traversier est inclus dans l’eurailpass?Est-ce que je dois réserver mes places dans 2 trains et un traversier ou une seule réservation est nécessaire?
Hi All,My wife and I will activate our mobile Eurailpass when we land in Frankfurt. We plan to go from FRA to Bern that morning. I know that FRA will have wifi, but my concern is what SIM to buy for use in ITALY (we have wifi in Switzerland at our friend’s home). I would like a SIM card that I can use not only in Italy but in Germany as we will be in Germany for a month. Last year, when I was only in Germany, I used 02, but obviously I want something that will be dependable in Italy. Do you suggest getting one SIM card for Italy and then 02 when I am in Germany? Thank you!!
