Hello everyone, I have been given a Eurail pass for my birthday (47!) by my wife to get away from the UK for a week. I have decided to travel through Germany for a bit of memory lane, Beginning in Cologne (flight really cheap from UK) and making my way from there to Mainz; Munich; Chur - Tirano - I really want to go on the Bernine express route - then fancy trying to fit in Venice and need to end up in Budapest on my fifth day travelling on a 5 day in one month global pass. I have some questions I would love some advice on: Is the regional train from Chur to Tirano the same line as the Bernine express but just not posh with big windows? Tirano to Venice is a long old train but i really wanted to fit Venice in, however I need to be in Budapest for the end of the trip and beyond Tirano had no plans looking for good advice for 2-3 days travel between the two? I was considering the Venice to Vienna overnight train then out of ideas? is Trieste an option to visit and get me on my way t
Hello everyone, hope you can help me! I’m departing form London to Paris on a Saturday Morning (Jan 11th), I will stay on Paris until the morning of Tuesday (14th) only to take a train to Lucerne that same day, will pass the night in Lucerne to take my last train the next day (Wednesday 15th) to Zurich and that would be the end of my train-trip. So my question is, how many days do I need to buy my eurail pass? As far as I understand, I need tu buy a 4 travel days global pass, but I’m not sure at all. Lastly, despite it could be obvious, this is my first time in europe (therefore in european trains). What’s the difference between economy, budget and premium passes? is there a limit of luggage pieces I can carry in a budget or economy passes? considering economy and budget passes allows me to select first-class or second-class seats, it turns to me a little bit confusing. Thank you so much for your help, is much appreciated!

We know our community members enjoy hearing about innovations in the rail industry - so we created a round-up of exciting highlights from our visit. InnoTrans is renowned as the world’s biggest trade fair centered on the rail transport industry. Held every two years at the Messe Berlin exhibition centre, this year’s event took place from September 22 to 25, and we had the pleasure of attending. Here's a round-up of the exciting highlights from our visit. InnoTrans: Impressive Scale Our visit to Berlin was a fantastic opportunity for networking, learning about the latest industry developments, and reconnecting with familiar faces. We quickly realized the sheer scale of InnoTrans exceeded our expectations. With an impressive turnout of nearly 3,000 exhibitors from over 50 countries and around 170,000 visitors from 133 different countries, it really gave a great sense of just how complex and vibrant the industry is. Hello. On December 20th we will begin a family trip. On the website it says that you can reserve seats 60 or 90 days in advance, but when I enter the date it tells me that it has not yet enabled reservations for that date. We have a long route planned with Eurail and I am worried about not having information.I find the app and the website very unfriendly, no one from the company can solve anything for you, if I had known how complex it was I would not have bought the passes with this company. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it.Thank you so much.Laura
Early days planning a trip early next summer. I've hit a problem in that I am trying to find a train from Ljubljana to Sofia. All the usual websites seem to be saying that isn't possible. I've also specified starting at other locations that I can get to such as Zagreb, Budapest but have the same problem. Help please
Hi, I'm Leonardo and i'm 22 yrs old and i am a university student, i'm planning my interrail trip and I'd be happy to find some friends to share this experience. Since i didn't visit much european places, this is the perfect occasion. I'd prefer visiting eastern europe (i'm departing from Italy) but i'm open to suggestions, for instance it's not even a problem if i visit other places. I want to start the trip in may or at the end of july since i have to finish my exams. This is my insta if you want to write to me so we can be friends and depart together: leonardo_.nuzzi
Hola. Muchas gracias.Laura

Hello Friends,I am from India and planning to explore few European cities between April 26 and May 13 with my husband and son (17 years next year).Drafted the below plan: Arrive from Chennai to Germany (thinking of either Frankfurt or Munich - which is the best place in Germany?). Spend 3 nights with one day local sightseeing and a day trip to Heidelberg or another one. From Germany (either Munich or Frankfurt) - travel to Amsterdam. Spend 4 nights with one day local sightseeing, one day trip to Keukenhof Gardens (might explore local tram/train if that is cheaper), and another to Zaanse Schans (might book with GetYourGuide) From Amsterdam to Paris. Spend 4 nights with 2 day local sightseeing and a day trip to Versailles Palace (local train is cheaper). Paris to Lucerne. Spend the remaining nights in Lucerne and to visit Interlaken, Mt Pilatus, Mt. Titlis, and jungfraujoch (if not restricted during shoulder season). Can you please advise if buying individual train tickets is cheaper
Hi, I’m considering the Interrail Global Pass (5 days) and trying to figure out if it suits my needs. I’m planning to travel with my dog from Gothenburg to Milan in 2 days, and then return to Gothenburg in 3 days. For now, let’s focus on the outbound journey:Day 1: Gothenburg - Copenhagen and Copenhagen - HamburgDay 2: Hamburg - Zurich and Zurich - MilanAfter purchasing the Global Pass, are the only additional costs the seat reservations and the dog ticket where required, or should I expect extra fees? I’ve already ruled out night trains for this reason.Additionally, do I need to book all tickets through the app? I noticed that some operators, like SJ, allow adding the Interrail Pass on their website as a 100% discount card, while others, like DB or DSB, don’t include Interrail as an option when purchasing the ticket. Thank you!
I have seat reservations booked on Eurostar and I have the tickets in my apple wallet, and I’ve printed them! But they are not showing in my Eurail account. Last time I travelled this way they did. Do I need to sync something?! Thanks
Hello,Planning my trip to France, Italy, Germany, Austria and Switzerland for September 2025 and trying to figure out costs for Switzerland.I’m looking to find which cablecars/gondolas are covered using the Eurail Global Pass for the Bernese-Oberland area including Grindelwald and surrounding areas like Kanderstegg to get to Oeschinensee Lake. I know there is a coverage map for trains, but wasn’t sure if there was one for cablecars/gondolas and/or a site that lists the cost of these as well. Any help is so greatly appreciated!!
Hi,This will be my first time using the Eurail pass on the app. I need to book and reserve our seats from Zurich to Paris, mid December, however, will get a new phone the week before we depart and am therefore very hesitant to activate or link the pass for our family as I read that you can only transfer the pass once to another phone (if I am correct?).Can I book and reserve on the website?.I would greatly appreciate advice on what I need to do first, is there perhaps a step by step guide? Many thanks for the advice and assistance.

HiI bought the "eurail global pass" for days. My first trip from London to Paris on December 14th. I paid for the seat reservation for my family. I can't book the train from Vienna to Venice through the app. When I tried to pay directly on the page only for the seats, they weren't available. The truth is that it has been complicated for me to use the app to book (the trips I need don't appear) and then go to an external page to pay for the seats. If I cancel the eurail global pass, do I lose the tickets that were sent to me by email for the trip from London to Paris that I already have ready? Thank you very much. Greetings from Chile
We want to take an interrail trip in the summer but we don't know whether to take a route through the Balkans or take the Amsterdam, Prague, Budapest and Split route. Could you help us?
hello~!before using the pass…..if the train is delayed at transfer station and I end up boarding after midnight then what is the number of global pass usage?and.....if the train does not arrive on time so I missed the train to transfer at the next station. then what am I supposed to do?
Hi everyone! Its my first time here.Im planning my trip over christmas to Ireland. I was thinking of purchasing the 6 days w/month for one country pass. So, from sweden to Dublin. The planner says it takes 2 days. And saving another 2 days for the return.I also want to travel to different counties withing Ireland (7 counties/cities to be exact)How would you recommend doing this? Is it even possible to cover all this with a 6 day pass? But a global pass seems unnecessary for just one country? Another question. I wanted to travel using the pass from Dublin to Galway. I used the app, to lay out the plan and there are no given routes. No busses or trains going there. How could that be, when on the website its one of the destinations given? Has anyone traveled to Ireland from scandinavia? If so, what route do you recommend? Thank you much :)
